Review 1：Wonderful room, lots of space and the facilities were all top notch. Breakfast was really excellent too, we had it brought up to the room and each day there was a good mix of fruit, bread, pastries as well as eggs & bacon if you wanted them. The Nespresso machine was a real luxury too!

Review 10：Npthing negative although some people would not have liked the fact that the whole area is being regenerated and so does resemble a building plot but it will mature. We stayed on Easter Sunday and so there was no work or noise. In a few years this location will be perfect but I imagine the room costs would rise.

Review 11：Really everything from the front of house reception to the tour of the room which was incredible large and luxurious. The breakfast was delivered to our room in the morning and was a veritable feast.

Our key door worked well every time, but I was always worried if the key demagnetized, what really happened in the last day, but after breakfast and the reception was open. Air conditioned went on during the night, despite I always turned it off when went to bed. But it was not noisy, just a bit cold as it was programed for 18ºc. The shampoo and bath gel was not replaced properly on the last days: felt like impressing in the beginning only. On arrival they asked if we could have breakfast in the bedroom because it would make it easier for them, as it was a small hotel. 3 days after they changed breakfast downstairs because it was a Holliday and kept it that way the next days, making me feel that they preferred as to have breakfast dowstairs (it was what we preferred anyway in the beginning) - misunderstandings typical of small hotels.

Review 15：Bedrooms: really comfortable, very clean and big! Beautifully white walls, beds and furniture, with cozy warm lights. The rooms are REALLY worth your money!!! Nespresso machine. Good to have a coffee or tea. Fridge if you need. Good wifi. Garage near, almost direct access.

Review 16：A lovely spacious apartment in the centre of Mechelen with excellent WiFi. Beautifully fitted out with all modern comforts. Kitchen even includes a Nespresso machine. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Review 17：Although the hotel is fully prepared to welcome its guests, there's still a bit of construction going on nearby. There wasn't any noise from it or any other inconvenience except that the small street leading to the hotel is still unpaved, which spoils the first impression a bit.

Review 18：The rooms are in fact apartments, provided with everything a traveller might require to feel at home - from bathroom facilities to good linen, to kitchen facilities. The girls at the reception are friendly and very helpful. Breakfasts were wonderful.

Review 30：Road construction in front of hotel, but the hotel is not in control of that. We were a little concerned that there was no staff after hours. It didn't affect us, but could be a problem in case of emergency.

Review 31：Well, it is not their fault, but there is a work in the street and the taxis were very lost to find it. I suggest they post some guidance in their website. Also, the fact that nobody of the staff is there after 7 pm can complicate a bit things (my key one day didn't work for example and luckily it was still in the time someone was there, but it made me to be concern whether this could happen the day after, when I would arrive late by myself). But really "negative" things are minors consider the very high quality of the hotel. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Review 33：Mechelen are in the process of completely rebuilding and changing the road system in the city centre which makes reaching the hotel challenging at the moment. (I'm sure the town will look wonderful when it is finished though.)

Review 38：Vixx hotel doesn't stick to the price that is offered viabooking.com. They add several additional charges, such as for kids, eventhough the booking.com site claims that kids are for free up to acertain age. After about 20 emails we gave up and just paid theadditional charges. We will not go back.

Review 44：Having searched a room for 2 adults and small kids via Bookingcom, andhaving booked a family-room, I thought that the number of guests shouldhad been informed to the hotel though I didn't made a specialrequest. But what we got was a room for two adults. The excuse of thehotel is that I didn't make the special request. And they charged anextra cost for extra-beds though our small kids slept on the floor usingcushions of sofa, saying that the cost was for the breakfast and thelinen. I tried to express my dissatisfaction in diplomatic way, but Iwas obliged to pay the extra at the end of the day. One thing I canhighly appreciate is that they changed the signs on Bookingcom whichconfused me, immediately.

Review 46：We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the Hotel VixX. Everything about the hotel, its facilities, staff and location deserves recommendation. The town of Mechelen is beautiful and perfectly situated to visit all of Belgium easily.The hotel offers complete comfort and luxury and manages to offer a very personal service but at the same time allows its guests to be completely independent. A very special place to stay and one which I hope to return to very soon.
