Review 1：The hotel has nothing 'special' Omani influences, it could just as well be situated in any other country.

They brought me hummus instead and when I questioned it I was asked if I knew that hummus is made from chickpeas and told I would like it (which I do but that was not the point!). The checkbox for beachfront is ticked and this is misleading. It's way too far to walk to the beach.

Review 14：Delay in picking up the food tray from lunch time placed outside the room. I came at midnight and found it still there. Delay from concierge to come to the room when requested.

Review 48：The guy behind the counter couldn't find my booking from my name and was rather rude about it. It turns out that they had booked both of our 2 rooms under my travelling companion's name instead of one room under each name which was the way I booked it. They then gave us 2 rooms with a double bed in each despite having requested 2 single beds in each room. The corridor outside our rooms stank of smoke and each room had an ashtray despite having requested non-smoking rooms.

Review 50：We requested a bed for our daughter in the booking and had to ask at least 4 times before it was taken care of. They offered a matress on the floor but eventually provided what we booked. We tried to get information on Turtle watching but was only given a number to call. We did in the end book through the Hotel but drinks and water were not provided as per the trip details.

Review 55：Being far from the city "Muscat", the hotel in Sur village was beyond of our expectation because we were expecting the standard to be low. But the staying was pleasant and the standard was good. Its advisable for family and friends visits. Helpfull Staff.

Review 57：We travelled to Sur specifically to see the turtles. The man at the check in desk offered us a "special discount rate" to see them. We enquired at the time to make sure it was for a night viewing and a morning viewing to which we assured it was. After the night viewing we checked the time for the morning viewing and were told that we would have to pay full fare again! Very expensive 18OR for one short tour! The hotel wouldn't budge or even negotiate a deal for a morning tour. Not impressed at all!!!

Review 59：the location is on the edge of town. the car park was always full and congested as people would drive in to use the cash machine and block the car park. the view from rooms at the back was of a sheer rocky outcrop and the rear car park - not very nice. window is low level and and if opened completely could be very dangerous for young children. pool is too small. door key system is ancient, needs to be updated to a modern swipecard. room was a bit too small for our family.

Review 60：despite the decor of the hotel being a bit dated, the cleanliness and maintenance of hotel was excellent, couldn't fault the place at all! staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful. I had requested an extra bed which I was given at no extra charge. restaurant was nice environment, breakfast had a reasonable selection, whole family was happy with. I would be happy to stay here again.
