Review 1：No where in the ad for the hotel, at no time during in the check process, and no where to seen anywhere inside the apartment we rented was there ANY mention about the water quality. The water was basically non-potable. We were shocked to drink from the tap and find that it tasted like salt. When we inquired at the front desk about this they claimed that people did not drink the water and that it was full of disinfectants. We were not offered complimentary water bottles, but were told that we could purchase some in the hotel restaurant or at the market. The bathroom window glass was not frosted and the curtain was see-through. This was the only window in the apartment that did not have shutters. We had to hang a towel over the window to feel like we had privacy in the bathroom. The kitchen had dishes and utensils, but there weren't any kitchen towels or napkins.

Review 2：Views of Faial from the apartment were excellent. Spacious two bedroom apartment with full kitchen, dining table, living room with sofas, bathroom, balcony, porch, and clothes washing machine. Bathroom was stocked with bath towels, toilet paper, and bar soap. Bed linens, drapes, chair cushions, floor mats, wall decor was cute, quaint and themed. Free breakfast was plentiful with a variety of items to choose from.

Review 3：Was a complete deception, we have chosen this hotel based on the classification, regretful we haven’t seen careful some of the comments. The accommodation is minimal or less and cleaning is very poor. The breakfast is horrendous is basically cheap products from the local supermarket and is a petty that they cannot provide local products. Summarizing there much better accommodation in Madalena less expensive with a better quality.

Review 4：The view is exceptional.

Review 5：The hotel is very far from Madalena, basically you need either to rent a car/take a taxi to get there or walk for 40 minutes. The room is very small, especially when compared to other 6 hotels we stayed in Açores. In the room there was a persistent and very strong sewage smell coming from the toilet (the cleaning lady tried to cover it by closing the bath plug and the sink plug). It was disgusting. On the wc there was a scaring notice: in case of clogged WC, 100€ would have been charged to guests, very rude and unfair as it's quite impossible to attribute the liability to the current guests of the room when previous guest may have been responsible for the problem. Only few rooms have a view ("vista") on the sea. The breakfast is very poor (again when compared to all the other 6 hotels we stayed in Açores) and many ants were invited to the buffet. The small swimming pool was closed (during the first week of August). It was not easy to find the staff at the reception and when they were talking to the phone you had to wait up to the end of their conversation to have a reply. Definitely overpriced.

Review 6：The hotel is very close to the Landscape of the Pico Island Vineyard Culture that is in the World Heritage List compiled by UNESCO. The building and the furniture/furnishing is new.

Review 7：The room and bathroom were really clean, but there was some light smell in the bathroom comming from the cloak, which made our stay a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor. Little variety. If they put traditional azorean products, it would make a difference.

Review 8：The Al-Novavista is well located, near from Madalena and from Wine Culture Landscapes. The owners are really attentive and helpfull. The rooms are modern and nice.They take care of details in decoration. I really enjoyed the swimmingpool and the jacuzzy.

Review 11：Very freindly staff and manager of hotel with exellent english that washelpful. Nice with a distance to town so could walk 30 mins or cab for5-10 euro. Fair room that was clean and had basics of what was needed.

Review 12：We had an excelent, calm and relaxing evening at al novavista. The owners provided us everything for that, including a three hour jacuzzi session with an one life time view to faial island at night! When there, In the morning, you have to stop and enjoy the landscape, pico's mountain In the left, world heritage vinyards and faial at the right!! For sure, it was a good surprise!!

Review 13：This is a new, fairly small, 100% family-owned and run, hotel. The facilities were super clean, with all modern amenities, and excellent customer support. If you find something is not 100%, Fernando and/or Lurdes (the owners) will do anything in their power to addess any issues you might have; you will definitely never feel abandoned. The on-demand home-cooked meals were superb, and were - by itself - an amazing culinary experience (thank you Lurdes). I had a great time there, and will be back soon.

Review 14：We really enjoyed the reception. The owners were available for their guests, they even took us to a local festival. A really great place to stay, swim in the pool, walk in the vineyards, ... Only 3 minutes by car (or taxi) to Madalena Our baby also appreciated laughing with the owners, the boat in the pool, and the babybed & babychair ... And a good breakfast ;)

Review 15：- We selected this hotel based on the Booking score (9.0). This score is surely "poisoned" by the multiple anonymous high rates. - The description and pictures are misleading. - The name "Nova Vista" is completely misleading because most of the rooms face a narrow parking and a construction area. - The room was very small (around 9 m2) and claustrophobic with a small window. - The room door was not sound proof (low noise in the corridor could be heard inside the room) - The manager was unfriendly when we asked to leave earlier because the room was unsatisfactory.

Review 16：Breakfast was very good (us type oriented), but some "real"hot (cold is available) milk would definitely have made thedifference for me.
