Reviews for Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel Tokyo

Review 1:Staffs are most caring and response to problems immediately. The location is perfect, lots of good restaurants in the vicinity. Metro station is just a few steps away.

Review 2:nothing, it was a very confy room in a nice location

Review 3:New hotel in the center of Ginza, right next to Hibashi Ginza metro station and close to many shops, department stores and good restaurants. Staff is very friendy and speaks good english, tough sometimes a bit slow. The deluxe room is very nice, a bit small (but enough space for a Tokyo hotel) and everything easily finds its place, the toilet is great, we also appreciated the cosmetics samples and complimentary bottle of water every day.

Review 4:Internet did not work Non smoking room smelled like an ash tray No gym facilities and no near by gym

Review 5:Great location Strong staff presence with a knowledgeable polite demeanor. A nice room lay out considering the smaller room sizes found in japan.

Review 6:The windows could've been cleaner

Review 7:They have a very personalised service, the staff is really nice and helpful, I didn't encounter any inconvenience. It has a great location, you can see the kabuki-za theatre from your window, it is across the street, and super close to Chuo street.

Review 8:Room size a little bit small.

Review 9:Excellent location. Higashi Ginza station A1 exit has lift to ground floor just in front of the hotel and opposite to the Mitsubishi department. Not far from Ginza station A5 exit too. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 10:There is very little not to like. Possibly the rooms could be a bit larger.

Review 11:Really great location in Ginza. Very friendly staff. Restaurant is wonderful.

Review 12:Overall the hotel is clean, except for the carpet in the room. It's dark color so it's easy to spot any dirt/dust. Would be good if the cleaners can work harder on the carpet.

Review 13:Great location

Review 14:There wasn't any good supermarket nearby.

Review 15:Everything was good. Many subway lines just around the corner and most of the restaurants we've booked were walkable distance. Room is spacious and very comfy.

Review 16:Nothing at all..........

Review 17:Location in terms of Metro accessibility....... Elevator to the station is 1min walk outside the hotel entrance Quiet neighbourhood in close proximity to shopping areas and restaurants

Review 18:Nothing

Review 19:Location very easy access to both ginza and higashi-ginza station. Close to shopping and eating area. The room is a pretty small but its japanese standard size. Love the bathroom that provide both standing shower and bathtub

Review 20:My wife, the younger sister and I stayed here for 2 nights. We all rated highly of this hotel in Ginza. Location and Surroundings: There is an elevator to the Higashi-Ginza subway station. The Toei Asakusa line will connect you to Tokyo Skytree, Odaiba and Shimbashi (a major transfer station to Yamanote line and Yokohama a major plus for JR Rail Pass holders). There are also many convenient stores within minutes of the hotel. Taxis are also always available in front of the hotel. Room: We had 3 people in our group, so we got the corner triple bed room which was spacious considering it was Tokyo. Shower was the best we had in Japan so far. The washlet was a highly advanced one as well. Bed was super comfy and I even snored on one of the nights. Staff: We want to give a special mention to one of the staff member, Takahashi-san who is a trainee at the hotel. My wife was suffering from a health condition and needed to consult a doctor. We realized that we would face difficulties in communication and getting a doctor's appointment. Even though she was a trainee, Takahashi-san went above and beyond to look for a English speaking doctor (or with translator service) when we explained our situation to her. Her command of English was good as well. Takahashi-san managed to secure an appointment at a nearby international hospital (St. Luke International Hospital) and my wife got her consultation and was feeling better. We would like to express our utmost gratitute to Takahashi-san for her efforts (Domo arigatou gozaimasu Takahashi-san!).

Review 21:Lobby is small and more seating would have been nice.

Review 22:Location is fabulous. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel next to Metro and close to many shops, restaurants and attractions.

Review 23:The space in the bathroom and the toilet felt a bit tight.

Review 24:Very friendly staffs, nice flower arrangements in the common area, very convenient location (in the heart of Ginza, metro station exit right in the front, direct train to Haneda Airport), Very clean. Bathtub, Nespresso machine.

Review 25:Outlook from our room was directly on to the building across a narrow street, however the twin room of two of our family group had a fabulous city view. We didn't have breakfast included in our booking rate, the restaurant looked amazing but too expensive for breakfast for our family.

Review 26:Location fantastic. Subway at the door step. Contemporary design of foyer and restaurant. Big department stores right across the street. Staff were friendly and efficient. Room beautifully appointed. Shower fabulous!

Review 27:Carpet felt a little dusty on the first day, we requested for housekeeping. Thereafter, everything was perfect.

Review 28:Very impressed with how every corner of the room was thoughtfully designed and how every space is used. Room is very new. 2 minutes walk to Ginza station Staff went extra mile to meet our needs with bus and restaurant bookings

Review 29:No separate concierge dedk, no one with good English to help, very limited lounge and other facilities for guests, wifi didn't work well in room 201 was very inconvenient, not enough English speaking content on TV system and difficult to use, very disappointing buffet breakfast for western palette, cold bacon, cold potato gems, cold eggs, nothing cooked fresh to order, required us to carry vouchers for breakfast which seemed unnesessary. Absolutely no views worth talking about, we were put in the beck corner and lowest level despite booking 3 rooms for 2 nights totalling a spend over $3,000 AUS. Found Mitsui Gardens Ginza Premier Hotel much better for similar $'s.

Review 30:The rooms, whilst small which is expected in Japan, were new and really we resolved from a design, function and comfort perspective, particularly the triple bedroom for the children. Great proximity to everything Ginza.

Review 31:The hotel is packed! Long queue for morning breakfast - gave ours a miss. There are often suitcases left at the hotel lobby. Given the modern design of the hotel, it would have been nicer if these are kept away from sight.

Review 32:Great base as close to Tokyo station and one of the main shopping areas in the city. Updated and modern design of room, giving a clean vibe. It makes the room feel bigger as well.

Review 33:Not a lot of drawers to put clothes in if you like to unpack out of your suit case. Had a lower floor and heard noise from outside. Shower area was different. There's a curtain to draw and that blocks off part of the room when using it.

Review 34:Location was excellent. Very clean and comfortable room. Had a automated currency exchange machine in the lobby. Refrigerator in room was a plus. Coffee, tea and water provided in room.

Review 35:Staff command of English poor for a Ginza hotel and overall not that helpful, eg no help was offered with our luggage on either arrival or departure. One was quite aggressive when we reported a missing key. No direct buses to Haneda or Narita whereas even Courtyard by Marriott did

Review 36:Location. Room small but very well furnished. Close to Ginza

Review 37:Excellent location. Bathroom size is considered big as compared to several hotel in Japan. They have separate closet and bath which we like it so much. Walking distance to Tsukiji, metro subway, shopping area in Ginza and Tokyo Station.

Review 38:Pls change the pillows. They do not provide neck support.

Review 39:Cleanliness was excellent. Though small, room was fully functional with toiletries replaced daily.

Review 40:We arrived for breakfast a little late (at 09.50am) to be told we had 10 minutes to finish as they were closing. The hot food was in fact cold and the other choices remaining pretty limited.

Review 41:Very modern hotel in an excellent location both for Ginza and its dining and shopping areas as well as the Metro connections (only 100 meters from closest metro station)

Review 42:Nothing in particular

Review 43:Location is excellent, lots to do within walking distance Room, although limited sized, very comfy Breakfast Very helpful staff

Review 44:The more often we came this property, the less impress we feel. Hotel staffs become less friendlier. One staff's guidance was misleading us when sending baggage in advance to the airport. Room key wasn't functioning properly in the elevator every time we're using the elevator back to our room.

Review 45:The choose this hotel because of its convenient location and stylish interior design.

Review 46:The size, but then again this is Tokyo. There's not much choices when it comes to the sizes of hotel. It's all really small.

Review 47:The overall layout of the room, location and all is great.

Review 48:the location is excellent, right in front of Higashi-Ginza exit and less than 5 min walk to Ginza metro, front desk staff friendly and helpful, well managed new property

Review 49:This was a perfect location and central to everywhere we were going. The rooms used space to it's benefit, facilities were great, breakfast was good, we loved the Jira coffee machine and would highly recommend this hotel.

Review 50:The pillows in Japan are not for everyone, but this is not a complaint, just an observation

Review 51:This is a great hotel, in a nice part of Tokyo, close to train stations and shopping. The staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke good English. Room was spacious, by Japanese standards and very clean, with loads of extras.

Review 52:It would have been nice if the hotel would have had a bar.

Review 53:The size of the hotel was perfect, had a nice warm feeling. At the same time felt a bit luxurious but homely.

Review 54:Tried to arrange early check in they emailed saying we would have to pay for another nights stay so had to wait 9 hours for room after overnight flight

Review 55:Clean

Review 56:We love the pillow! It's very comfortable. Unluckily, we asked to buy one but they didnt sell. It's close to subway but not many restaurants around. If you love premium shopping, the hotel is your choice!

Review 57:No gym.

Review 58:Central location, close to Tsukiji fish market so that you can walk over. Next to subway lines and Kabuki theater. Amazing toiletries (Shisedo) and very cool, modern design.

Review 59:The bed was harder than we're used to and the pillows were flat, hard, and the bottom one has beads in. They're probably very orthopeadic but just left us with aches each day. Once we left the room around 14:30 with housekeeping in our hallway and despite leaving the 'make up our room' card & there being time left for housekeeping [posted as until 15:00] our room was not made up when we got back.

Review 60:It was a great little room, really handy for many shops in Ginza and the subway, the staff were all wonderful, we'd definitely stay there again. I would appreciate the addition of room service tho.

Review 61:Loved. Location, subway underneath, excellent shopping and food ..hotel is fantastic great staff, rooms, bed, pillows , bathroom & super cool toilet. Perfect

Review 62:Room is quite small but price is little bit expensive

Review 63:location is pretty good, which behind A1 exit of East Ginza. Near to many famous hot sightseeings.

Review 64:HDMI access to the TV monitor would be nice

Review 65:Location is unbeatable. Metro is 50m away. Room is spotless, tidy & functional. Smallish but roomy by Tokyo standards. Staff is friendly & speaks English well

Review 66:Nothing bad, just those funny pillows with the beads inside.

Review 67:Beautifully appointed hotel with all the extras. Staff spoke very good English, and very helpful. Rooms were a good size, particularly the triple corner room we booked. Great location for shopping and not far from the train station, so easy to get around.

Review 68:Very few facilities in the hotel.

Review 69:Modern, clean hotel with a good sized room compared to other Tokyo hotels. Wifi worked well. Good location in the heart of Ginza. No complaints about the room.

Review 70:We wanted to upgrade to two twin beds, far too pricey. We also needed tostay one additional night, we were quoted double what we originallypaid. We ended up going online & booking the room ourselves &getting it for less than the daily rate we originally paid. Staff wereunwilling to negotiate on upgrade or additional one extra night rates.Disappointed about that service.

Review 71:Location of the hotel was excellent.

Review 72:Nothing to really complain about other than the name being similar to another hotel in the area and the taxi driver taking me to the wrong hotel even though I showed him the hotel name written in Japanese that I had printed from the booking.com website.

Review 73:I arrived before my scheduled check in time and only for the purpose of leaving my luggage and returning later in the afternoon, the very nice receptionist said that my room was ready and I could checkin straight away. Considering I had just arrived from an all flight, being able to check in and shower at that time was a blessing. The room was good and the location was absolutely fantastic. The hallmark of a good hotel is would I stay there again and yes I would.

Review 74:Had breakfast at the onsite restaurant one morning, both my wife and I were very disappointed in the selection of foods and preparation, there was very little we enjoyed. Although I did like the granola cereal.

Review 75:Loved the layout of the room and the amenities, the staff was very courteous and helpful. Very good location for site seeing in Tokyo, if you don't mind riding the metro.

Review 76:You might be confused with their sister hotel which is Mitsui Premier.

Review 77:Location is perfect. Near the station and shopping. :-) Also near the Fish Market and if you want fresh sashimi/sushi, it is just a walk away. Staff were very courteous. Facilities also quite good. Will stay here again if I visit Tokyo again.

Review 78:room way too small that we could not leave even a single bag opened fully. all clothes need to be hung up. lack of drawers n storage space.

Review 79:location, cleanliness of room, WC separate cubicle from shower/bath.

Review 80:The room was tiny for the price. Also I don't like having a sink in the room (should be in a separate bathroom area). Not their fault but breakfast was chaotic with a lot of Chinese tourists leaving plates and things around everywhere....

Review 81:The staff were helpful, courteous. The location is superb.

Review 82:It would have been lovely to have a pool but really that wasn't so bad given the plus of the location.

Review 83:The location was fantastic. The staff were lovely. We loved the room and wanted to take the toilet home - best in Japan! Seriously!

Review 84:This is my second time with Milliennium Mitsui Garden Ginza but the day of check-in, we found hairs on the bed and in the basin. The used shower cap was hagging in the bathroom. This is disappointed me. Moreover, wifi is unstable and slow to download emil.

Review 85:Great location and good service from staff

Review 86:Like the location very much! Walking distance to fish market and the palace. Room is very quiet though it is very center of Ginza. Hotel facilities are in perfect condition, you can tell it is a new hotel still.

Review 87:Lack of places to hang change of clothes in bath area. Lobby can get very congested with great number of people and luggage.

Review 88:Loved the location and ease to subway/metro stations. Also lots of dining and shopping options very close to the hotel.

Review 89:Location cannot be beaten - walking distance to the Imperial Palace / Fish Market / Ginza main strip / Tokyo station - and literally surrounded by metro stations on a variety of lines. Rooms are very nice - comfortable, spacious. Staff couldn't be more helpful.

Review 90:found hair inside the towel on the 1st day staff impression wasn't great at some place in the hotel (mostly good though)

Review 91:location is great bed is very comfortable good to have a sofa in the room, not just a bed

Review 92:they didn't allow me to check out at 2 pm also the non smoking room was available, I checked in at 8 pm, they could easily upgrade me for a better consumer experience, anyway the room was empty, no one would come after 8 pm.

Review 93:location

Review 94:Bed was to hard, room was very small, no bar, air conditioning did not cool enough & had to pay for English speaking TV channels.

Review 95:Location was outstanding & staff were exceptionally helpful

Review 96:What mostly o didn't like was the cleaning level of the hotel. They didn't change the towels in our room although we put them in the bath tub. The breakfast was horrible. We only had it in the first day and the we had it outside for the rest of our trip.

Review 97:The only good thing about the hotel is the location in the heart of Ginza.

Review 98:Some of the staff were not always helpful. They did not go the extra mile as other hotels would in terms of travel tickets, information about good restaurants, or anything NOT related to the hotel.

Review 99:The location is the best

Review 100:The services are extremely limited, no cleaning after 2pm, and the non-smoking rooms smell smoke. And the staff speaks very little English.

Review 101:The hotel is located in the heart of Ginza and brand new

Review 102:Duvet was too thick. Felt a bit heavy and suffocating but i guess that is a "taste" thing.

Review 103:Great staff. Smart room ( small but you don't feel it) . Metro access in front of the hotel. Great anemeties. We loved it

Review 104:Outside noise of traffic.

Review 105:Friendly and helpful staff, even hailing a cab for me at the end of my stay. Comfortable beds, good shower, decent complimentary products. Excellent location

Review 106:Our room was a little cramped with only two small people and two pieces of luggage. So if you were both larger people with lots of luggage you would find it difficult and maybe a little stressful.

Review 107:The room was very functional for the size. The check-in and out process was very smooth and the bathroom facilities were great.

Review 108:cleaning personel knocks on door at 10pm and asks when they can start cleaning the room. breakfast area is way too small and results in waiting time plus very small choices on buffet. on my last day, there has been a dirty homeless person roaming around the breakfast area (I don't want to know what he touched, but I got an upset stomach that day - not pleasant when travelling on a plane). breakfast vouchers should be tied to the hotel room.

Review 109:very convenient location staff speaks sufficient english

Review 110:not in particular.

Review 111:Everything was great, good location - close to subway and Ginza shopping centres. Room was big compare to many other hotels in Tokyo. Modern design, comfortable bed. free English newspaper everyday.

Review 112:The staff at the reception didn't speak good English so it was very difficult to help us although they were very polite. There isn't a lobby where you can sit and have a drink or snacks.

Review 113:The location is great. The room is not bery big but perfectly organized. Clean and cozy.

Review 114:Room size is a bit small compared to other rooms in the same price range that I have stayed in in Tokyo.

Review 115:Great view, right next to subway station and shopping, very modern minimalist design in lobby and room, fancy toilets!

Review 116:Very convenient location and good service. The room is relatively large compare to most of hotels in Japan. The hotel is quite new, so all the facilities are up to date

Review 117:the level of staff services is not consistent depending on which staff I speak to other guests from other Asian countries like China made the place uncomfortable and down grade despite the quality of the facility

Review 118:facilities

Review 119:Nothing.

Review 120:Everything. Outstanding staff, great location - just a few short blocks from central Ginza. A very well appointed and comfortable hotel with good sized rooms for Japan. Loved the way the room amenities were laid out.

Review 121:No negatives. Well, we did select the superior twin room even though we are a married couple, because the superior double room seemed much smaller. We were worried about being cramped, but we never saw the double room in person so I can't comment on how that would be. The superior twin room was the perfect amt of space for 2 adults with big luggage, and lots of shopping bags.

Review 122:The location is the very best. Train stops are super close and there is so much to see and do in ginza, right around the hotel. The rooms are set up so efficiently, we were delighted by how well designed everything was. Bathroom is very nice. Shiseido products were also very nice. We loved the hotel.

Review 123:Nothing whatsoever

Review 124:The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. The design of the rooms is modern and compact without being cramped. Excellent location for shopping and dining in Ginza. A truly impressive hotel.

Review 125:I had to check in at 5pm because they had an electricity power test in the middle of the day

Review 126:New hotel, nice room, very clean and good location for the money

Review 127:Nothing that I don't like

Review 128:Very happy with the hotel location, very clean and hotel staff are very nice , the design of the room is very user friendly , will definitely recommend this hotel

Review 129:having to go from the 13th floor to the 2nd just to get a bottle of water. the level of spoken English with the staff was not great, no breakfast included for almost 250 usd a night, in addition very poor food in café / restaurant or how you like to call it.

Review 130:I like the design of the hotel and the location.

Review 131:There is nowhere to sit in comfort to wait for the room to be ready. This is really very bad for travellers who have arrived early morning after 12 hours flying!

Review 132:The rooms and especially the bathroom were very good as is the Ginza location. Also very good and helpful staff.

Review 133:The wash basin being located in the body of the room near the entrance to it was a little strange. My room overlooked a construction site and the noises during the day were distracting. My wifi connection kept cutting in and out or swapping to one associated with a department store across the road.

Review 134:The location is great and staff were simply superb

Review 135:We checked in late and the girls at the reception were trainees with rather poor English. Other than this, we were given a smoker room although with our booking we have specify we want a non-smoker room.

Review 136:The location is perfect, the staff is friendly, the rooms are small but comfortable.

Review 137:Room is rather small for 2 adults . No space for you to open the luggage on floor. Also finding one face towel is full of black stain and dirts.

Review 138:Close to metro and shops . Take Narita express train 4000 yen round trip take 1 hr to Tokyo stationAnd take taxi around 1200 yen to hotel is more easy and fast if you are not familiar the location of this hotel.

Review 139:We liked everything.

Review 140:Perfect hotel with perfect service. Excellent facilities, restaurants with view... The room is not very big, but good organized ...the bed is perfect.
