Reviews for Americas Best Value Inn & Suites

Review 1:Traveled with my service dog. Potty area was difficult to get go; not convenient.

Review 2:Staff were all very friendly and helpful. No problem with my online-reserved room. Room was a street level room with entrance directly to outdoors. Big room. Coffee pot, refrigerator, microwave, iron & board, hair dryer, love seat, TV. Quiet. Breakfast completely adequate. $52/nite. Great buy. Convenient to major stores and eateries.

Review 3:The Staff was AMAZING! Room was clean and spacious. The beds in our room were comfortable. But I really want to thank the staff for being so Nice, polite, and helpful during our stay.

Review 4:NOT HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE AS PER REQUEST! Toilet leaked water whenever it was flushed. Reported it immediately but the maintenance guy didn't want to fix it until the next day since we were only staying 1 night. Wasn't offered a different room just given more towels to mop up the water! Bathroom very small and not handicapped accessible.

Review 5:Staff was friendly. Location was great!

Review 6:Keys didn't work several times and had to go to office. Not very clean and very outdated.

Review 7:Smoking rooms. Pretty quiet. Thick curtains to keep sun out.

Review 8:When we checked in to our room I pulled back the covers on the bed to find food crumbs and Marijuana leaf and residue..carpet had food and crumbs. Bathroom was dirty. Looked like blood spatter on ceiling and smelled like pot. The whole place was dirty. We were moved 2 more times. The final room was acceptable but not overly maintained. You can tell their maid staff and maintenance do not care or take pride in their work at all. Will never stay there again or reccomend.

Review 9:The only tub/shower was in the room with the beds, not the bathroom. Also, there was no elevator to the 2nd floor rooms. And the location was not described accurately. This hotel was no where near Estes Park, and should not have been included in the search results.

Review 10:The room condition was poor. The table on which the refrigerator and microwave usually sets was missing. The coffee pot was missing. The bathroom door was in bad condition.

Review 11:Breakfast and the swimming pool were great. Check-in went well.

Review 12:We had ants in the bathroom, but the room was clean otherwise.

Review 13:A good basic place to stay. After a week of camping and visiting the place with the same name across town, we were very glad to have a shower, a bed, and a better neighborhood.

Review 14:The hotel was a 70's vintage structure with a new sign to draw travelers in or so it would appear. Maintenance on the common areas appeared to be lacking. Used mattresses from the Marriot chain of a hotels was a definite negative as well as the TV which had very poor reception and limited channels. The free breakfast wasn't worth the effort.

Review 15:The room had a bed and bathroom.

Review 16:The mattress on the bed, seams to be getting old and should probably be replaced. The control on the faucet is in need of repair. The towel rack needs to be reattached to the wall.

Review 17:The money transactions were beyond ridiculous! If you insist that I pay upfront, then the only charge I should have is exactly what I paid you for when I arrived. Instead you put a hold on my credit card for the original quoted entire stay amount and the amount that I actually had to pay. And the explanation I was given by the front desk is "that you have a weird system that often just randomly doubles, or even triple charges people. It'll come off eventually." I am sorry but that is completely unacceptable!!! You are messing with people's vacation money. My mom had a hold of $420 and $586 placed on her account, I had a hold of $286 and $581 and my sister had a hold of $420 and $420. That's a lot of money put on hold that took away from our vacation funds. That is completely unacceptable when all that should have been taken out was $286 on my mom's,, $286 on mine and $420 on my sister's. You must understand how your snafu and payment system can impact a family vacation when all that extra is being posted to pend on our bank accounts. Other than this one thing, I had no further complaints.

Review 18:Most of the staff was very helpful. The value of room for the money was very good and things were clean. The pool area was great!

Review 19:Credit card machine wasn't working. Double charged me for both rooms.. Overdrew my account. Key cards didn't work consistently. The breakfast was horrible. Really not happy there. 4nights in in e room 2 in the other

Review 20:Had a ground floor room. Beds had bugs in them! Yes, the creepy kind with legs and remind you of roaches! Then they charged me $40 for the experience, hated even worst then.

Review 21:We had to get new room keys 3 times because they stopped working. The entry hallway was dirty and was never cleaned. The hallway outside the room was never vacuumed. The bed was too soft due to being old (said Marriott on the side). Room smelled of animal.

Review 22:The breakfast choices were underwhelming, so we ate off site.

Review 23:We made last minute reservations, got the type of room we wanted, and it was a comfortable room. The young lady that checked us in spent time telling us about good places to eat and gave us all the directions we might need depending on our restaurant choices.

Review 24:need towel rack! Breakfast was disorganized and crowded...Don't have the big trash can in front of the food! Organize it better so you don't have to go back and forth across a little crowded room.

Review 25:location,

Review 26:It was a non smoking room and it hard a strong smoke smell. It also smelled of vomit. I would have asked to change rooms but my children already fell asleep. There were no screens one any of the window and the had the locks broken off. The floors were dirty and stick.

Review 27:the pool was ok

Review 28:The construction made the motel harder to access but that's out of their ability to control anyhow. The $115 rate was higher than for any night's room to and from California but it was peak of vacation season!

Review 29:The bed was very comfortable!

Review 30:When you go into the rooms bathrooms there was roaches and the inside stairway going into the hotel had roaches

Review 31:It was close to the freeway and not far from other stores

Review 32:Cigarette smokers station right outside door and heavy odor of smokewaking me up at 0130 coming from significant gap in adjoining room doorjamb 6 inches to left of my head. Ever have anybody blow smoke in face? This was worse.

Review 33:Large handicap rooms

Review 34:The Jets on the second floor room weren't working but that was OK since the young lady gave us the room on the first floor late at night thank you so much & please thank her for us!

Review 35:We didn't catch the young lady's name that worked graveyard Monday through Friday she was awesome help when needed to change our room to the first floor due to my husbands bad ankle. Every time I went downstairs she was always busy working cleaning something or stocking something.

Review 36:Breakfast taken up before 9 as people with children were coming in yet. Not good. Special needs room not safe with no grab bars, soap holder and slippery tile floors. Was not happy. Was told there was a recliner in room and there was not. Was not a happy traveler needing special needs room. I had called ahead and asked specially for this and was very disappointed. I have had spinal fusion and knee replacement and needed a safe room.

Review 37:I had trouble locating the motel. The instructions I had didn't mention that the motel is immediately at the exit from the highway. It was fine, once I knew.

Review 38:The room was comfortable, clean, everything worked.

Review 39:Was woke up at 5:50am by police beating on the door of the room next to us for over 35 min because the guy was on Parole and the girl was a wanted felon and they had drugs in room. No water pressure, no outlets next to bed.

Review 40:Right off I25, quick check in. Loved the jacuzzi tub in the room next to the bed, was very relaxing after our long drive.

Review 41:Had to change room room had been smoked in even though it was to be a non smoking room side of bed was stained from someones fluide on box spring

Review 42:Staff did give another room because room was not clean and had been smoked in was non smoking room

Review 43:the pool didn't have water. Mr T sock next to my bed. A lot of noisy guests.

Review 44:the location was perfect it was right off the interstate.the people at the front desk were very helpful about helping me find places I needed to be.

Review 45:The toilet ran and the microwave didn't work in our second room. The first room we were given was supposed to be non smoking but it reeked of cigarettes causing my moms asthma was acting up the rest of our trip.

Review 46:The staff was very nice and flexable in fixing Booking.com's mistake on a busy holiday

Review 47:The parking lot was NOT cleared of snow! Definitely unpleasant stumbling to reception desk, and later from the parking space in front of my room!

Review 48:Location and cost of lodging was good and will be reconsidered if I am in the Ft. Collins area.

Review 49:The housekeeping was very slow. I returned to my room at around 4pm, and my room had still not been cleaned.

Review 50:The staff that I spoke to was very friendly.

Review 51:I had made my reservation on booking.com at least a month earlier and requested a first floor, handicap accessible room with two beds. When we arrived they tried to put us upstairs. Then for the same price reluctantly gave us a king room, with a sofa sleeper (my kids would not sleep in, they are older) and a hot tub shower-Jacuzzi thing inside the room. so my kids slept on the floor at my daughters apartment, so they could get a private bathroom. I am going to have knee surgery soon, so getting in and out of that Jacuzzi to take a shower was nearly impossible. I feel like the room did not meet our needs, and would love to get a refund of the over $200 (including tax) that I paid to be poorly accommodated. Also on Sunday morning, we showed up at the breakfast at 8:50, the attendant came in and said she was putting everything away and to hurry up. So we had to grab a few things and eat in our room. That stunk!!

Review 52:Our choice was a last minute decision. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. Easy access to Fort Collins. Would definitely stay again on our next visit.

Review 53:We arrived later than expected due to road construction. The front desk person could find no record of my reservation even showing her the confirmation email she tried to say we must have booked at their other location. I did not. She said they were booked up except pricier suites. Mind you it is midnight & she keeps me standing there for 30 minutes. We've been driving for 15 hours, she's trying to reach manager to know what to do. I had even tried to leave & go somewhere else & her frustration wasn't pleasant or my fault. Finally got instruction to cancel another reservation that was tentative & register us. Room was exactly size & price I'd booked. The room was fine & all we needed but her customer service had much to be desired. What is the point of a confirmation of a registration if it doesn't mean anything when you arrive?

Review 54:boxspring and mattress a king, frame is not. Not very clean. Bathroom door would not close.breakfast not as shown in AD. Defrosted waffles, pancakes and a toaster.

Review 55:room smelled moldy, had spa room-spa too nasty to sit in, rough drunken construction workers partied late and loudly parking lot was scary and poorly lit

Review 56:Could not connect to wi fi and the young person at the front desk was no help, gave me a password that was one of the ones on the back of a centurylink modem, and not one in range of my room... and the connections I could see but not log in to looked feeble at best. Sorry to be grumpy but the advertised free wi fi was the main reason I booked this room so I was disappointed.

Review 57:Comfortable room, good bed. Breakfast included eggs and sausage of a sort.

Review 58:The room was clean, the hotel clean, staff friendly and the continental breakfast fresh and the lady keeping it up, fast and friendly! The pool looked well maintained, but did not get to use it.

Review 59:The place smells bad from the lobby in, like old sweaty/wet rags they try to mask it with an excessive amount of cleaner that makes it worse. Both my daughter and I got asthma from the strong odor. One of the beds had "something" that made you itchy, like fleas or something. The other bed was ok. I had a terrible night. The internet didn't work at first and we had to head over to the McDonalds across the street. Later on it worked but was bad.

Review 60:Breakfast was good, pool/ pool are was nice, good parking

Review 61:The location was a tad further than I thought it would be but it all would have been okay if their WiFi worked. I wasn't able to even get WiFi in their lobby.

Review 62:The staff were really nice and pleasant. They have a nice daily breakfast and offered a complimentary newspaper. They do have one computer available for guests but that didn't work for me because I had to have access to a computer for most of the day.

Review 63:There was no hot water. Spa tub was to deep for a special needs person to get into. Noisy as people walking above us all night. Not a very comfortable bed was lumpy. Not a pleasant experience. Cold water as hot water heater needed to be lit and just had to wash in cold water.

Review 64:Lots of smokers outside. First non-smoking room reeked of smoke. Hot tub right next to the bed is a little unusual. Hard to keep the sheets dry.

Review 65:The location

Review 66:Reserved a non-smoking room. Was given a smoking room. Staff gave me a new non-smoking room. The new room smelled like someone had been smoking in it - very stinky. We had to febreeze the room to breathe comfortably.

Review 67:Bed was comfortable. Breakfast good. Staff was pleasant

Review 68:After my first night, I returned about 3:40 pm to find my room not made up. The maid shows up finally around 5 pm. There was a metal bar approx 4" long, at ankle height extended from one side of the bed not far form the foot. Fortunately for me, I saw it before running into it! The WiFi was non-existent, even for my modern devices.

Review 69:Staff was friendly.

Review 70:The breakfast room was very small and had very limited selections - yogurt would have been.

Review 71:The room was roomy, clean and the jacuzzi hot tub was a bonus! The staff was friendly and for the money, the hotel was better than we expected.

Review 72:Overcharged and had to push to get a refund. (in fact, no refund yet, still in processing) Accommodated in a room with hottub. Did not request this feature and found the tub to be slick and dangerous while showering. (I am an older person ... did not want to fall) Somewhat overpriced for value received.

Review 73:Small breakfast selection which is included, but I was fine with that. All that I needed was an included breakfast and a couple cups of coffee to start my day.

Review 74:The staff was very courteous pleasant, and helpful with directions or suggestions for local directions. The grounds keeper was the nicest man and did an excellent job keeping everything clean. The room was clean and large. Nice big jet tub with shower. The refrigerator with small freezer was nice to have. No concerns with area, and I was comfortable stepping out to smoke at night. Very good for a budget hotel, and at the top of my list stay when traveling.

Review 75:Apparently wifi was being revamped the entire time I was there. Very inconvenient for a business traveler. Front desk seemed unconcerned- I was given the run around!

Review 76:Nice that they have both hard and soft pillows that are labeled!

Review 77:The whole facility appears very run-down and has a funky smell throughout-except our room, thankfully. There is what appears to be a blood stain on the carpet in the middle of the upstairs hallway, which just served to fortify the "sketchy" vibe of the hotel. We had unknowingly reserved a hot tub room, which would have been fine if not for the fact that the shower was therefore in the main living space. Makes it a bit awkward for a father with his teenage daughters. None of us showered there. I suppose that was my fault, but it should probably be mentioned before a reservation is confirmed. The pool was out of service and the restaurant next door was shut down. Overall, not a good experience. I will not be back. We booked our last two nights at another hotel in town with adequate, working facilities (including a shower in the bathroom) for a lower cost.

Review 78:The staff was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. The location is very convenient to old town and CSU. The beds were comfortable, including the pull-out. Parking is plentiful.

Review 79:The restaurant attached to the hotel is not open and would be a bonus for weary travelers.

Review 80:Good location to stop before going into Denver. Great beds. Staff pleasant

Review 81:our toilet leaked and made noise all night; couldn't log onto the Wi-Fi after the first day. Doors didn't close on their own. caution tape right outside our door.

Review 82:Breakfast was pretty good

Review 83:The room was dirty, the hotel entry doors were left open, different air fresheners seemed to be masking odors throughout the public areas, the breakfast area was crowded, the lobby décor was outdated, internet access on the computer was very slow, and faded unattractive artificial plants were used for décor.

Review 84:The pool looked nice and the room AC worked well.

Review 85:The hotel is still listed under a different name, so we were routed to another location. Had to call the hotel but could not give specific address. Gratefully our Onstar was able to locate it through their phone number.

Review 86:Our family liked the stay and room. Great night staff.

Review 87:Very outdated. All of the furniture was old and chipped. Bathroom fixtures were old and some parts were rusted. Carpet was old. The room smelled, not bad, but old and musty.

Review 88:The price was the best thing about this hotel. We had a huge 2 room suite with a jetted tub that could have held 4 people. Everything seemed to be pretty clean.

Review 89:I wasn't looking for perfect but this was a lot better than I was expecting it to be. It was comfortable enough, it had wifi and was a great rate compared to other hotels I researched. The staff was friendly and I had no problems. I would definitely return.

Review 90:It was not clear from the online description that the huge tub withshower was actually in the room with the beds! When we asked to changerooms we were told that all the rooms were like that! The rug and chairsin the room were all stained. The wifi simply didn't work. There wasno elevator to access the second floor--something not noted in thedescription. We heard many complaints from other guests. The staffreaction to these complaints varied. Some were quite unprofessional, particularly in their lack of effort to assist disabled guests. We wouldhave left, and lost the money, however, there were no other rooms in thearea available.

Review 91:Carpet in room was filthy, breakfast very limited. Bed sagged.

Review 92:I like having a microwave and refrigerator.

Review 93:The first ro was not good. I asked for a better room and they moved me to a much nicer room. My wife was very satisfied after the move

Review 94:the tub was fabulas!!!

Review 95:Comfortable room, great shower pressure.

Review 96:Great location, close to I-25, but not noisy. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Review 97:Hotel cleanliness and staff availability. Breakfast really needed some help.

Review 98:Location and room layout was good.

Review 99:Very good staff always happy to help. I stayed at the econo-lodge had a terrible experience due to their staff.

Review 100:Scarry needs a lot of work lobby smells like mold coffee even stunk definitely did not eat there was not worth the monie

Review 101:The room wasn't ready when we came in

Review 102:The staff was very friendly and professional

Review 103:Many nice brewpubs in Fort Collins. Nice place to visit.

Review 104:The furniture looked like it had urine stains or something on it. Didn't smell bad but looked horrid. Made me nervous about the bed.

Review 105:very friendly

Review 106:Had a bad odor when entering lobby. Room also smelled. Old and seedy feel to entire hotel.

Review 107:everytime we left the room and came back our keys didn't work the carpet was nasty weird people were just hanging around

Review 108:The hallway smelled musty vs. fresh or odorless, and the area was extremely loud, waking is in the middle of the night with a huge explosion

Review 109:Staff was helpful, kind and cheerful!

Review 110:The rooms were very nice and spacious and the price for the rooms was the best value for this area.

Review 111:Road construction, but that's not the fault of the hotel.

Review 112:Good location, easy to find

Review 113:Pool....young man at front desk very personable.....overall everything

Review 114:Great prices for what we got!

Review 115:It was very clean. ..
