Review 1：The hotel is not corresponds to 4 - stars standart. It hardly could be marked as 3 stars. I do not know according which criteria it got 4 stars. There were not slippers, dressing gowns in the room. The breakfast is very poor. I do not recomend this hotel strongly.

Review 4：They have a total mess of pics on booking.com site. E.g. superior rooms have pictures taken at business-category rooms, etc. So don't get surprised if you're settled not into the room you expected (and paid for).

Review 14：The location is good, it is only 10 minutes away from Subway which is a very fast method to get to the heart of Moscow. Breakfast is fantastic and staff was very friendly and helpful assisting us with our small needs.

Review 15：Poor location. It is 15-20 minutes walk to railway and subway station, but 1/ it is too far if you have a luggage and 2/ surrounding area doesn't look safe to walk. Taxi is the only practical option.

Review 19：the most i was disappointed when 1 minute after 12pm housemaid opened room's door and told that administration personnel told to clean room. i had to check out before 12pm. i was already dressed and packed all my things to the luggage. this behavior forced me to tear up feedback form, which was filled with the most best ratings.

Review 24：Someone started drilling and hammering in the wall next to our bedroom at 10.30am, and the noise seemed to come from within the hotel. Upon our arrival the room had a bad odour. This is our 3rd time at Mandarin, this time (for the first time) breakfast was stale - fish, cheese, eggs, all seemed gone off. When we asked some fresher cheese, we were denied it. The receptionist - Roman - was quite helpful, but using polite words is certainly not part of his repertoire.

Review 49：Stayed for 3 nights. Very uncomfortable bed, second day there was no water supply. Missed a very important meeting. No apologies from staff except 2 small mineral water bottles sent in lieu?? Fitness centre is kms away. Won't stay or recommend it to anyone again.

And that type of Noise on top of your room and impossible to sleep really, really bad starting at 9.30 in the morning " For Crist Sake!!!" we call them and say hey !!! stop .... but they didn’t, my girlfriend call twice and the 3 time she was not so nice (like half hour later) and the machines keep braking the walls on the floor above us!! Final she tool then (she is a Russian Lawyer) you don’t stop Monday I go to a place.. And they will send an Inspector here to check the Books and you are doing.. she spoke in Russian with then ... I think the get the picture , construction stop immediately ! Final we can sleep a little ... One “small” additional thing I (we) did take breakfast ...wow, can you believe it that I open a small cereal to put milk and the smell was a little strange, then I taste it .... hmmmm Arghhh, then I look at the date well is just expiries in January of 2013 !!!! (more than year ago) We call the Service (buy the way they even don’t replay to you if you speck in English) My Girl Friend ask what is this ???? The guy goes in the Kitchen and comes back saying the Restaurant chef, grants 2 additional years on the cereals, so they must be good ... guess what we laugh for about 5 minutes, we check out and run way very fast from there ... this guys "eventually" will kill an innocent soul ....

Review 53：Never ever again. They tried to charge me for the early check-in andstopped trying only after my complaining to the manager. The first roomwas tiny, very hot and some very loud renovation activity happened nextdoor, the window doesn't open. Again, I was relocated to anotherroom after the second request only. A pint of beer at the hotel'sbar costs 480 rub (8gbp, 13usd), so please do not suppose that notexpensive room means not expensive staying.

The bathroom could have been cleaner, when I looked up above there was an old soap shampoo and conditioner which it looked as though the shower itself had been cleaned but not obviously a thorough clean of the entire bathroom. Review 84：Non smoking floors but there smoke was coming in from the other roomsand the room smelt bad. Mentioned it to the staff but they said it was ano-smoking floor so no-one would smoke there. Was too tired to call themat night when the smoke smell woke me up. Music is loud in therestaurant on occasion and could be heard as a distant thump thump frommy 5th floor (that would be 4th in the uk) bedroom. Decoration was a bitornate but that's simply a matter of taste.
