Reviews for Quest Serviced Apartments Launceston

Review 1:Bathroom fan was very noisy and parking time limits were a bit inconvenient.

Review 2:Staff were friendly and very helpful and location is excellent being right near the restaurant strip on Oxford St and walking distance to most attractions in the city precinct.

Review 3:The church clock- every 15 minutes. If you value your sleep, give this hotel a wide berth.

Review 4:Great location and close to many attractions and restaurants

Review 5:The wifi was disappointingly slow when we tried to skype family.

Review 6:We asked for a late checkout which was agreed to. Our request for an extra setting in our apartment to host an elderly relative was met, and we were given instructions for a step free entrance to the building.Staff were exceptionally welcoming.

Review 7:We were happy with everything.

Review 8:There was plenty of space to spread out and a well equipped kitchen. Free parking was offered at the parking station across the road.

Review 9:Room was hot- no air-conditioning. Too noisy due to traffic. Sofa bed mattress so uncomfortable you couldn't sleep on it. Bad night sleep for everyone.

Review 10:Extremely noisy and was unable to sleep due to vehicles hooning around the block. Did tell staff on the desk. Also rang the police. The bathroom had no storage.

Review 11:We had to use a carpark across the street that was complimentary by the hotel but it was in convenient when we had to load and unload our baggage. The free wifi is very unstable, even in the main lobby.

Review 12:The location was perfect, right in the middle of the city. It is within walking distance to everything!

Review 13:Our plans changed and we needed an extra night's accommodation. Quest was fully booked so they arranged alternative accommodation, transport to and from and complementary wine to ease the inconvenience. Attention to detail and great service.

Review 14:Stairs at the front, we stayed at the property to compete in the Tasmanian Karting Titles and it was a slight pain dragging the trolley up the stairs from the street with engines and helmets aboard. It was OK when you were in the actual hotel as there was an internal lift just not to the street level. Maybe there was a disabled lift at the rear which I missed ??? (Dunno)

Review 15:Location Location Locations, Staff, great large rooms. Really quiet property, no internal noise, extremely good facilities in the apratments, would have loved to stay for 2 weeks to relax and enjoy the apartments, and the dining experiences walking distance. The secure partking was great, and with the fob to allow access at anytime this is a great feature.

Review 16:Free WiFi was a bit hit and miss and when you did get on it was quite slow. Road noise (if you have a room on the main road side) can be noisy.

Review 17:Plenty of space, washing machine, mini bar, great location within easy walking distance of shops, theatre and Aurora Stadium.

Review 18:Remember to get the keys to access the car park as it closes quite early, otherwise you will have to park at the roadside.

Review 19:The spacious room. The friendly staff. The location.

Review 20:Car park across the road and a little bit of effort to bring luggage up to room.

Review 21:Close to restaurants. Undercover parking across the road. Staff very helpful. Guest laundry saved $$

Review 22:Noisy boy racers driving along the main street each evening up to approx mid-night - not much Quest can do about them though.

Review 23:Very comfortable apartment with lots of character.

Review 24:The vanity basin with shelf above making it impossible to wash face, shave etc. Old TV with terrible sound, it should have been a new "smart" tv ,with channels included on one handset. Rubbish lounge that was dirty. Rattling Windows. Noise from adjoining rooms. Bathroom fan too noisey. No TV in bedroom, this is expected. We have stayed at Quest apartments before and all have been good. This was disappointing . I will not stay again.

Review 25:Within CBD and close to a very good cafe for brekky. Lovely old historic building.

Review 26:Not a thing. We loved our stay.

Review 27:Great location in a lovely restored building. Staff were friendly and obliging. Room was very comfortable and very clean. Facilities exactly as listed.

Review 28:The chiming clock every hour through the night is very loud and wakes young children up early (5am in my case). Despite the hotel being very good I decided to change hotel on second stop through Launceston.

Review 29:Service and location are excellent. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Review 30:It is not easy to get luggage up to your room. Have to walk down an alleyway to get in as front door has many steps. Parking is offsite in a carpark.

Review 31:Nice big apartment with great facilties. Cooked our dinner in each night to reduce costs. Staff were very accommodating

Review 32:We have stayed here twice now and will be back again next year. We love the place. Nothing about the place is bad.

Review 33:Convenient to the city centre, restauants and York Park (for Hawthorn football matches).

Review 34:The street noise was unbearable and there was no where else to go other than the apartment, not child friendly at all. Dishwasher was unusable and therefor had to wash up but dont have to at home. Not a place I will go back too

Review 35:The Wi-Fi was clunky and slow and required repeated log in. Annoying. (but we were on holiday, so not a major issue!)

Review 36:Great central location - near lots of restaurants/venues. The slippers were a nice touch, to avoid cold tiles in winter!

Review 37:With no cleaning services on weekends or public holidays, the unit certainly needed a freshen up after a long weekend.

Review 38:The location; the friendly and helpful staff - especially helpful in liaising with local airline staff over missing baggage.

Review 39:Because the building was built a long time ago (however refurbished) the parking was across the road which made it a little difficult with loading and unloading the luggage.

Review 40:The furnishings - so pretty. The King Size Bed - amazing! The staff - Helpful and friendly!

Review 41:No heating system in both toilets and it was really cold during the cold seasons. There isn't any thermal bedding for the beds and it can be rather chilling during cold nights. Otherwise all perfect!

Review 42:Love the rooms and the kitchen. Got a three bedrooms and two was at first level and the master bedroom at second level with ensuite toilet and a small kitchenette for the master bedroom. The kitchen are well equipped with pots and pans and plates etc except the knife wasn't sharp enough for meat cutting.

Review 43:Difficult set down and pick up on busy road with no designated spaces. Loud- REALLY loud. Street noise from people simply talking carries through and cars sound like they are driving through your bedroom with traffic going all night long.

Review 44:Clean and centrally located. Parking option is confusing and off site. Staff were lovely and helpful.

Review 45:Some dust present downstairs in the bathroom which gave one member of our party allergies. Otherwise nothing.

Review 46:The location, convenient parking, very spacious with two floors for family of 4. Good heating. Highly recommended.

Review 47:power went out when using their iron. had to fumble around in the dark to get to door. but all up they fixed it in no time, flick of a switch ...

Review 48:convenient position,

Review 49:Bed was joined queen which wasn't comfortable, only 1 pillow each, couple of items in room were dirty

Review 50:Great location, reasonable price, loft was cool

Review 51:central location, comfort and cleanliness. Quest is within easy walking distance of the Tasslink bus from Hobart. It also has a good arrangement with a very trendy little cafe next door named Inside.

Review 52:Wi fi inconsistent. Bathroom had nowhere to put toiletries except floor even though the room was large. Furniture needed to be cleaned, badly stained.

Review 53:Size of apartment. Comfortable.

Review 54:Musty Noisy church church bells all night ,boy racers and sirens. Car park wasn't on the property (public car park) across the road Wifi poor and FOXTEL was just 6 limited Chanel's very grainy

Review 55:Nice receptionists, well appointed

Review 56:Decor and lounge furniture a bit tired. A nuisance not having onsite parking. But the arrangement with the parking building across the road seemed to work, but should have been free all the time to guests.

Review 57:Self catering , being able to launder clothes, spacious apartment

Review 58:Quest Apartments were within walking distance of heaps of things we wanted to see and do. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped. We would recommend the location to others.

Review 59:You need to walk down stairs to access the bedrooms which weren't very suitable for my elderly mother at all. Wifi provided didn't work and we had no room service due to it being a Sunday & public holiday.

Review 60:Great location! Rooms were big

Review 61:Noise of motor bikes riding around (and around) the central city blocks.

Review 62:Central location, self-contained apartment facilities (save on meal costs), reasonable parking charges, friendly & helpful staff.

Review 63:WiFi is hopeless. The so-called IT expert had no idea what he was doing and was indifferent to our cries for help. He suggested we go to the foyer and log on there! We struggled until the last minute when one of your ladies returned after a few days off.

Review 64:Location

Review 65:We could hear motor cyclists racing past on the road at night.

Review 66:Great location for restaurants and shops. Also good central location for going out sight seeing. Nice comfortable and clean hotel.

Review 67:Limit to WiFi usage we wanted to search attractions for the area & we had used our limit the first night.

Review 68:Very spacious & felt like home. Nice and clean.

Review 69:Air conditioning was just a portable one in one corner of the room with no instructions as how to use it, it was very noisy & not cold.

Review 70:Clean room, large bathroom.

Review 71:The stomping from above, no idea what they were doing, but they lights in out room were shaking and then you could here kids running up and down the room Very hard to get anything to eat for breakfast on weekends and even after hours in Launceston

Review 72:Size of the room Amenties well decked out, everything you need Close to everything

Review 73:There was nothing we didn't like but if there was one thing we could ask for improvement on would be more light. our room only had one window, and the room was a little dark at times even with lighting.

Review 74:The bed was amazing after a long day of adventures..

Review 75:I reported an iced up fridge and not able shut the door Nothing happened. The one way streets in. Launceston!,,

Review 76:The friendly staff, the location, the. Transport Museum and the other museum and the free transport All accommodation places should advertise this. Access to washing machine and dryer too. It was free to use..

Review 77:Wifi in our room would not connect, otherwise all was good

Review 78:Staff happily moved us to a new room when the sign out the fri t squeaking was going to bother us.

Review 79:We had the studio apartment - not a good choice as the door opens straight on to a long flight of narrow stair, almost impossible for luggage. Should have a warning when booking.

Review 80:Staff were very friendly

Review 81:Our stay at quest was very good enjoyable inside cafe good no parking but council option was good and very reasonable no problems have stayed quest before in Melbourne and sydney will look them up again when travelling.value for money

Review 82:It is very noisy even up on the fifth floor. It was a Saturday night and you could hear car noise until about midnight. would recommend the side of the hotel away from the street. This was the only negative - such a shame

Review 83:Lovely apartment close to everything with easy parking. Friendly staff.

Review 84:No shelves or vanity cupboards in bathroom to sit anything on or in! Have to place your personal items on the floor. A rather un-hygienic concept.

Review 85:Location. Friendly Staff. Size of Apartment (plenty of room).

Review 86:The bedroom had no window and no airconditioner. The bathroom (which included the washer and dryer) was large, but had almost non-existent shelf/cupboard space for toiletries, and a lot of wasted space!

Review 87:location was great

Review 88:Room not serviced. Noise from nearby business. No ice available despite promises from the manager. Wi Fi non existent. Kitchen without clean crockery. Very poor

Review 89:Not much

Review 90:bad odour in the corridor on our floor. Slow wifi. No easy access to car after a certain time.

Review 91:Location was great. It was well renovated. Quality inclusions. It was very clean and spacious. Convenient parking across the road.

Review 92:Nothing bad. But would be great if the Launceston town clock stopped chiming earlier and started later...kept us awake until midnight and from 6am! The price of a great location. And one other whinge which is not unique to this property - I wish hotels would put more more shelf space in bathrooms.

Review 93:Very comfortable and nicely appointed. Loved the soft bed. Staff were helpful.

Review 94:Dishwasher and drier faulty. Parking only ok as had to be out of car park after 10 in morning or else charged parking fees.

Review 95:Lovely apartments, plenty of room, kids enjoyed having their own adjoining apartment. Very comfortable. Nicely furnished, good to have free wifi. Friendly staff. Well situated in town.

Review 96:The room was difficult to access due to stairs. The room was not serviced at all during our stay. When we asked for clean towels we had to collect them from reception. Moreover the rooms are not serviced on Sunday's or public holidays! Why rent an apartment if you have to clean it yourself?

Review 97:The staff did a s best they could

Review 98:A little pricey but it had a washing machine and dryer.

Review 99:We liked the central location of the hotel. The staff were professional, friendly and very helpful. The apartment was roomy and comfortable with a usable kitchen area. We were there 8 days and were very happy there.

Review 100:There were hoons speeding up and down the street on Friday night until about 1am in the morning. Not sure why police weren't called.

Review 101:Friendly staff, fairly comfortable and modern.

Review 102:We tried to cook a couple of meals but the kitchen facilities left a lot to be desired. Very much lacking in utensils, stove top so old and not working etc etc etc. Some guests don't wish to eat out all the time!

Review 103:The Central location was excellent. Right in the city centre. The apartment was spacious and lovely. Staff most helpful and friendly.

Review 104:Wifi was rubbish. Slower than dial up! You still have to pay for parking like most hotels it seems.

Review 105:Fantastic friendly staff and special mention for Alex on the front desk. Excellent room facilities from the kitchen to the laundry/bathroom. Located just around the corner from the restaurant strip. Very comfortable bed made sleeping no problem.

Review 106:Newspapers were just Tasmanian No option to buy the Australian or AFR Car parking - the town council is literally next door and the parking inspector is like a hawk. Just popping over when the car was like 2 minutes late...

Review 107:The washing machine and dryer! Wow! The way the rooms are set up :)) And the way you can just check in and eveyrthing is where it is supposed to be with an amazing amount of space and power plugs!

Review 108:Although the room had a beautiful big window, it needed some better lighting.

Review 109:Excellent all round experience from first step into the door greeted by professional, friendly and helpful staff, to checking out!

Review 110:We paid when we checked in. Upon checking out I was informed that we had been undercharged and would need to pay an extra $15, in cash, as the eftpos facilities weren't available. I explained we were charged the amount quoted when we booked as per the confirmation email. After some further discussion , I was told not to worry about it. Left feeling like they had tried to rip us off. Shame

Review 111:Location, spacious room

Review 112:Not much not too like

Review 113:Our group had a lovely stay at the Quest Launceston for 2 nights, staff were very helpful and facilities good. Lovely old building.

Review 114:We like the location which is in the city centre. The design is unique, the 2 bedroom are self contained, accommodated our big family and at the same time provides privacy.

Review 115:Booked 3 bed apartment, turned out to be 2 separate apartments, not conducive for a holiday. Located in the basement with no outlook. Gloomy and noisy.

Review 116:The most annoying aspect of this apartment was the VERY strange glass wall between the main bedroom and the living room. This meant that people sleeping in the main bedroom could be seen by one and all. No chance for privacy!

Review 117:The apartment was in an excellent location and was very roomy. All facilities were perfect for our group

Review 118:Great convenient location, great sized room, clean and modern, comfortable bed, large LCD TV, free WiFi, reasonable car park rates across the road. Perfect.

Review 119:It is very convenient and close to shops, restaurants and city centre. The room is clean and comfortable. The little kitchen has got a dishwasher and the bathroom has got a washing machine and a dryer. The only drawback is the internet which is extremely slow and we eventually gave up!

Review 120:Internet access not useable - very slow and keeps dropping out Some Studio rooms are too close to another room and have stairs.

Review 121:Friendly staff, good location.

Review 122:For those who are driving, to be bare in mind if you choose to park your vehicle at the opposite multi-storey car park overnight or the night before Sunday, remember to remove your car by 7pm as the carpark will be closed after dark, if not you have to collect the access card from the receptionist the next morning after 8.

Review 123:The apartment is definitely up to 5 stars hotel in term of cleanliness and their staffs services. They are very helpful and friendly. All the kitchen facilities, toilet and bedrooms are very neat and clean.

Review 124:The extremely small lounge area that was provided in the apartment we were supplied We have stayed at three other apartments prior to this apartment during our 24 day stay in Tasmania ; all had far more space and might I say we're cheaper than this apartment

Review 125:The courteous attention booking office staff provided us during our stay

Review 126:Worried about the town hall clock ringing through the night as mentioned in other reviews. It now stops at 23:00 and starts again in the morning

Review 127:Friendly staff and a very clean and comfortable accommodation. Very convenient to town centre and local attractions.

Review 128:*oh boy...there is a thumping, loud night club nearby. I had to buy ear plugs to get through the rest of my stay. The music starts at midnight and goes until 430am. We travelled with about 20 others and they all had the same noise problem in varying degrees.Sleepless nights.

Review 129:*location a 5 minutes stroll to the main mall *friendly staff *clean 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with kitchen & laundry facilities *amenities provided

Review 130:They changed our room without notifying us; which caused some problems on arrival. These difficulties were sorted quickly and appropriately.

Review 131:Spacious apartment in the centre of Launceston, so you could walk to everything. Old building gave some character and meant we heard nothing from next door apartments. Parking arrangements across the road were very good and economical.

Review 132:exhaust fan is activated in both bath rooms when either is turned on, which was very annoying. the chimes on the town clock went all night.

Review 133:good quality and spacious rooms

Review 134:We stayed in room 304A. The fan in the bathroom was soo loud that it was noisier in the lounge and bedroom than it was in the actual bathroom. Terrible!

Review 135:The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable.

Review 136:Noise from adjacent nightclub which went on until 4am, not fault of hotel as they have soundproofed windows.

Review 137:Spacious rooms, great laundry facilities, comfy bed, helpful friendly staff.

Review 138:Room dated Too dull room lights Bathroom old Too many steps from road to reception, hard with luggage.

Review 139:Location Staff Parking arrangements Room clean
