Golden Clube is located in the heart of Ria Formosa Nature Park, a 10-minute drive from Tavira. It offers indoor and outdoor pools, a tennis court, a gym and spa facilities.

Review 1：The facilities, such as the gym and the rental bikes, are unfortunately not very well maintained and the exterior of many buildings look a very "tired". However, it seems like some repainting has started. Pathways through the complex as well as the street around it contribute to the tired looks. The breakfast (the only meal I had) was a bit disappointing.

Review 2：The location is great - both in Cabanas and in the region - and most of the staff is very friendly, helpful and sociable. The studio I had was very basic but quite nice. I had a nice balcony with great views.

Review 3：I found that noise was the most annoying aspect of my 15 day visit. A small number of people staying in the hotel made sleep very difficult for me, banging doors of apartments, laughter in the early hours some times due to Alcohol was my main complaint, so much so that I moved into C Block Apartment 3303 from above the reception area, yet even here noise was unbearable

Review 4：Wonderful Location and balcony view of the Rio Formosa. Very good breakfast and close for walks and cycling.

Review 5：It is a very convenient and quiet place to stay on my way from and to the airport. I particularly appreciate the quietness of the area and the friendliness of the locals.

Review 6：Reception staff!!! We have never experienced anything like that before!!!! The attitude of people working at the reception ranged indifference to utmost rudeness!!!!!!! Young lady (Claudia) was shouting at me and calling me names (though I am at lest twice her age)!!!! Lack of wi-fi - though it was supposed to work for free!!!

Review 8：An on-site shop would have been handy. Lots of ants in the room and were biting us on the bed. Didn't feel balcony was safe for toddler - there was a big gap that our 1 year old could've easily fit through and it was the third floor!

Review 9：Both pools were fabulous and just the right temperature. Kids club and entertainment well done. Gardens kept very nice. Short walk to Cabanas. Boat to beach just outside. Felt safe.

Review 10：Air con was not working properly. We were moved to another room which was below standard we had paid for. The site was looking tired and in need of investment. Our balcony was very dirty, covered in bird droppings. Kept the curtains closed. Unable to use it for drying clothes.

Review 16：We got there having booked a superior room and was sent to a standard room . We went back to reception to ask why and found they had no superior rooms for us . But had one which was for sale but empty of several items . They did get us some but they were old eg kettle and toaster etc

Review 26：Studio was small, dark and very dated. The area of the complex where our studio was located badly needs a revamp. It is dull, dark and run down. There was no basic equipment in the apartment such as a kettle & toaster. There are some lovely new apartments but ours was in the original bulding and was very dated. The staff are not the most pleasant and could be more helpful.

Review 52：It's really closed to the beach and the staff is friendly. We had breakfast and dinner: at dinner the food was different every day, with both meat and fish. The room was really nice and big, with a small kitchen and a nice balcon.

Review 53：There was only soap in our bathroom, no shampoo or shower gel. When we came to check in no one showed us where is our appartaments, only gave us a map, so it was pretty hard to find it at 11 o'clock at night. Also cabanas is really quiet place, no clubs at all, and if you don't rent a car you have nothing to do there. We had no entertainment in the evening at the hotel. Also the main pool was closet all week. The maids were only doing our beds, not cleaning the floor.

When we told reception they seemed to know??? So why put a family in that block, we also seemed to be the only ones in that block, other blocks had clients? Not sure of the logic to that one. My daughter near cut herself on a broken chair, maids should have seen that

Review 60：No comfy chairs in studio(photo showed a couch). Light switches fell apart. Very limited cooking facilities (no microwave). Small TV (brochure said flat screen). Rear window blind broken. Not sure I would describe as "superior" studio. Indoor pool closed (we were informed of this 2 days before we travelled.)

Review 66：Stayed at the Golden Clube for 9 days in August. Weather fantastic.Superior studio ideal for me and partner and 3 year old. Studios largeand modern and equipped with kitchenette and dining table and sofa. Westayed self catering which was ideal as lots of great places to eat inCabanas. We loved the location - just a few minutes walk to Cabanas withgreat restaurants, supermarkets etc. Loved Cabanas and Tavira not tootouristy and very reasonable price wise - much cheaper than the West.

Review 67：At our arrival the apartment was very clean, but during the stay the cleaning services are very superficial. They don't spend more than 5 minutes in the apartment.

Review 68：The apartment was located in the new part of the resort and was well equipped with all necessary appliances. The apartment had good areas and sea view. The 2 swimming pools are great for kids and adults. The dedicated boats to take people to the beach were very handy.

Review 69：The apt was very worn . Couches all faded. The lock on apt was difficult to open . No handle on door so had problem on closing on way out. Patio doors did not close completely ? Some glass on doors fogged up.

Review 75：We tried to check in using the (very useful) Booking.com iphone app but they insisted that we had to have a print out of our booking. This was a bit of a pain as we had to pay a Euro to use their internet corner to log in and print out our booking details. Their PCs and internet are a bit slow and clunky so this required a bit of patience. The room are furnishings were looking tired.

Review 76：Cabanas is quiet but nice Nice friendly atmosphere amongst the guests at the resort (mostly English and German I think) Service at the little bar was pretty good and they will do you a Decaff coffee.

Review 77：Our appartment was on the edge of the resort. The surroundings felt veryneglected and almost forgotten about. The closer you got to the mainarea the nicer the grounds were kept.

Also being right on the Ria Formosawhich is a nature reserve the wild life in particular the birds aresuperb. There are also some excellent golf courses in the area.
