Review 2：This is paradise! white beaches, palmtrees, clear water, beautiful sunset, fish in all colors, quality food, nearly no tourism on the island, ...
Review 3：The bed is too hard. And there are too many ants in the room that can bite you. Also, the hotel itself has no beach so you have to kayak to the nearest beaches possible.
Review 4：Free kayaks and the food. The place itself is a bit isolated, no connection to the main road. So it's very peaceful and quiet. No party. Nice view. Clear water. Nice and friendly staff.

Review 10：There were few mosquitoes and I have gotten allergy from they bit...just be careful and bring some mosquitoes protection with you...

Review 12：structure of the bungalow had several large gaps and as a result we were eaten alive by mosquitos. there were so many nothing we did helped the situation. sometime during the evening the bathroom was visited by rodents leaving their poo on the vanity unit. we had booked and paid for 4 days and the maids didnt come in once and for a 4 star hotel this is not acceptable. the complemetary coffee we had on the balcony when we arrived remained there for the duratuion of our stay. dirty cups on full veiw of the staff not removed! what they dont tell you about the location is that you have to get their boat to pick up the road. the last boat to return to the hotel is 5.30 therefore you can not stay out and have dinner anywhere else or watch sun set. the cost of bike hire is 400 which you have little choice about as the nearest location to rent a bike is a 45 minute walk up hill to nearest town. there are no taxis to flag down. the restaurant on site is over priced and only average. the swmming pool is tired and in need of updating. there was only 6 sun beds. all in all i would give this hotel a rating of 2 stars. if you want to go to Koh Kood i suggest you look at hotels int he area of peterpan hotel as there are several restaurants and bike hire places. oh on a final note if you dont like dogs do not stay here as the hotel guest are mainly thai who take their pets with them on holiday.

Hotel is big but most people staying booked through a 3 day package so they mostly out in activities, and the restaurant has a private table behind the pool that luckily was empty everyday for us. Kayak is free and you can get extra activities at the lobby. Go to the beach (around 15 mins kayak) that's behind the rocks, and walk to the tip. It's a lot cleaner and it felt like we could walk half the way to the next island. We found it was cheaper to stay 5 nights and do only the activities we liked. Definetily do scuba diving.

Review 19：The location is very nice, but if you don't kayak, you can only stay there! And I didn't like the attitude of a staff member while I was paying the bill, as for me it was confused I misunderstood the amount to pay and she laughed at me (she was not the cashier)

Review 22：Really enjoyed our stay at Captain Hook. The location is stunning. The beach is a short swim or even shorter kayak and is really beautiful. Next are the amazing cocktails, the best we had on our trip blended in with a brilliant sunset. You really cannot fault the location. A great first step into Ko Kood, a beautiful island.
