Review 53：Lithuania is filled with lots of rich history set in well-preserved Old Town areas. It would be hard to beat this vacation experience if old world history and charm are on your radar. All the rooms in the very reasonably priced hotels we stayed in were larger than any we’ve seen in other European cities. Santakos is a modern hotel set inside an old building in Old Town next to a music school. This hotel has convenient on-site parking, however, driving and parking in an Old Town area is always challenging and this was no exception. We easily missed the turn down the narrow street to access the lot behind the hotel. The helpful staff let us leave the car there for several hours after we checked out. Santakos is run more like a nice Best Western might be run elsewhere. For an Old Town hotel, it is bigger than most and has an elevator. The breakfast room and restaurant were much larger than in other hotels but still very nice. The breakfast buffet offerings were quite good with a lot of variety, but we were disappointed with the hot entrees. We also ate supper there one evening and enjoyed our meal. The location is excellent for access to all of Old Town. It is just off the main pedestrian boulevard. You can easily walk to Town Hall Square, as well as the castle and park beyond that. We even walked to the M.K Čiurlionis National Art Museum – very impressive and worth your time. Our room was new, modern, and regrettably, like in many modern hotels, style trumps function. But it was clean, pleasant and comfortable.

Review 54：it says there is a swimming pool but that is not a swimming pool, that is only a small square full of water for kidsplay i guess. you can not swim there! also you have to pass through restaurant if you want to go there which is not nice.

Review 59：At check in they took a long long time to find my reservation, eventually they said "It was a single room you booked?" - I stated it was a double, eventually they told me they were going to give me a larger room, then when I got to the room the girl came with another key card and put me in the room I originally booked! The toilet in the room was completely random, not in the bathroom, and I had to squeeze between the toilet and sink to use it. 2 single duvets on a double bed. No tea and coffee facilities in the room - later discovered you had to order them (for free!) to the room! - Not 4 Star facilities. Absolutely hideous painting above the bed! I've read replies by the manageress - she seems to copy and paste responses - shows a lack of actual care as to the experience of the customer. Location of "splash pool" and small sauna absolutely ridiculous.

Review 60：I can't see how people have been complaining about the breakfast, it may not be exactly what you are used to (i.e. if you are English, you might not like the sausages, the way the eggs are served etc) but it was an excellent spread. Most of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Review 120：one of the four stars which this hotel claims has simply got tired and fallen off. Small details are not up to standard anymore, eg sending me to a room where the previous occupant had been smoking (against hotel rules by the way) and not being able to find me a new toothbrush when I realised I had left mine behind. Breakfast just lacked the sparkle I would expect of this hotel - a sparkle which is found in Lithuania even in cheaper hotels because the level of cuisine in Lithuania is generally high. At 7.10am the sauna was not yet hot enough for guests to use and the swimming pool is only a sauna plunge pool (or if there is another one somewhere, I didn't find it and nobody directed me to it). So just a long list of little things which mean this hotel doesn't hit the mark anymore.
