Reviews for Seafar Resort
Review 1:The hot water in the shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold. There was no inbetween. The outside light on the bungalow needs the key to be in the holder, so it is hard to see to unlock the door at night.
Review 2:The kayaks were awesome. The beach is beautiful.
Review 3:We stayed in one of the beach front houses. This is not as shown in the picture and is really more like a container on stilts. Not sure it's worth the extra money even though it's really close to the shore.
Review 4:Fantastic beach. Free rental of kayak and snorkelling gear. Waterfalls
Review 5:A lovely place to stay, close to the beach and with very nice and caring staff. We stayed in the little villas and they were comfortable and lots of space. We looked into the blue containers and they looked ok and had a perfect placing close to the beach but we prefered the small houses. Just outside ours they were building a pool which will be nice and a good view when it is ready. This place have everything, you can: rent a scooter, go snorkeling, take a trip with a kajak, have a good meal and/or a drink or just do nothing. A lovely place and a lovely island!
Review 6:It's an island, so expect mosquitos, geckos and other insects and spiders to inhabit your room with you. Also the doors to your room will not fully close, and the gap will let in insects.- as for the TV if you don't understand Thai then don't bother flipping through the channels.
Review 7:A bit pricey but it was a good resort with very friendly staff and good BBQ
Review 8:Beach cabins are very basic for the price but the location right by the sea is well worth the price.
Review 9:The location is stunning. Like having your own personal beach. Sand is great and we loved swimming in some of the clearest sea we have ever seen. We just loved our stay.
Review 10:Our stay at Seafar was incredible. Not only were the staff some of the kindest people we've ever met, but they were helpful in every sense of the word. The beds were comfortable, the beach was second to none, and the food was incredible. While the wifi in the public space was spotty, you don't go to an island like Koh Kut to spend your entire day staring at your devices! Also, be aware that there is some construction going on, but it didn't bother us too much. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and one I hope to repeat all over again in the future.
Review 11:Lots of building happening right next to the dining area. Not too noisy but didn't help the otherwise lovely scenery.
Review 12:Very friendly staff and gorgeous beach location
Review 13:All great ! A bit pricy but worth it.
Review 14:Very helpful staff, always ready to help with everything like booking of boat trips, renting of scooter, cooking. Location is right on the beach, 10 steps.
Review 15:I think it is a little overpriced. The location is perfect but the room is just normal. I expected something more "fancy" for that price. Also the mattress is quite hard.
Review 16:I really enjoyed the location - few steps and you are on a really nice beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful too. The bathroom/shower was very clean and nice.
Review 17:That we had to leave
Review 18:the resort was amazing, we were in bungalow on the beach, which we could see from our bed. Only very few people on dreamy beach. Friendly staff, great manager, very good sea food. Lovely and clean.
Review 19:Very overpriced. Beach bungalows are very simple containers. The bathroom is the same as in a budget accommodation. No wifi available.
Review 20:Location, right in front of the beach, quiet, crystal clear water, near a small reef to snorkel.
Review 21:Service: The hotel is run by one family and only one person can speak English. The restaurant staff does not understand a word of English. We ordered food there 6 times and 5 times we were given a different dish than we ordered. We also had to argue with them to take back the food and bring us what we ordered. Careful: Sometimes when they brought the wrong order, they tried to convince us that it was the dish we ordered just so they dont have to prepare a different one. It was always a huge hassle to order or request anything which was really stressful and not at all what we were looking for. No Wifi at all (not even in the lobby). Food: The fee breakfast is okay (toast, egg, jam, butter, tea/instant coffee) but should be a lot better considering the room rates. The hotel own restaurant serves food all day. The food is good but insanely overpriced (250THB for a curry). The hotel is in a pretty remote location so unless you have a scooter and are willing to drive a dark, bumpy road after 18:00 you are forced to eat in the overpriced hotel own restaurant. Cleanliness: Although the room got cleaned every day, we constantly had a lot of ants in the bathroom All in all, I would not stay there again. The location is great but the price for a room is not justified.
Review 22:Location: The hotel is located right at a empty beach, only one other resort is located on the same beach. We visited the hotel during high season (Christmas) and we only saw a few other people at the beach. Only downside is that its located really close to the pier (~200m) where tourists are getting dropped off and picked up several times a day. Facilities: The hotel seems to be brand new, the facilities were good and clean
Review 23:Very good beach and new hotel with very good stuff, you will enjoy it when you are there, They are very nice to allow me to change the room, and help me to book appropriate motor bike, communicate with mini-bus to send us to the right place to avoid communication issue.
Review 24:Staff not particularly attentive, needed prompting to change room . Only 1 English speaker. A bit overpriced for service and facilities.
Review 25:Location. New buildings of reasonable standard, relaxed vibe, nice beach.
Review 26:Bungalows a bit too basic for the price.
Review 27:Location is excellent. Not far from the pier but the beach in front of the hotel is BEAUTIFUL! Since only two hotels on this beach, you get to enjoy the entire beach by yourself most of the time. Our room/bungalow was literally right by the beach (get out and walk 5 steps, you are there!). There was a swing right in front of our room. I could sit there to watch sunset or the ocean all day long if I wanted (no one was there to use it). Our bungalow (or a small wooden house to be exact) was kind of small and simple, given that we paid almost 4000 Bahts per night (I am assuming price on this island for most hotels maybe a little higher compared to elsewhere), however, the price we paid included free use of snorkeling gear, life jackets, kayak boat and paddles, free pickup and drop off from/to pier. The owner (or manager) was very nice and friendly. She helped us to book ferry tickets, contacted tuk tuk driver for an half day tour around the island as well as renting a bike. She even personally came to our room at night to tell us about the meteor shower during our last night stay there! Breakfast portion was large enough that we couldn't even fishish every morning (though limted choices, but was not a problem for us at all). They are expanding with more rooms (bigger and nicer), which are actually cheaper than the bungalows. I would stay in these rooms next time we return (hopefully Ko Kood would not turn into another Ko Chang when we come back).
