Review 1：We arrived at night and after owner left we discovered hot water service and heating not working. At 10.30pm we had to ask a neighbour to call owner. Owner said he would come but did not. After 45mins neighbour called owner again and was given instructions over the phone on how to start the heating in the apartment. Next day owner did not apologise. Very bad sewer smell permeated the bathroom and bedroom. We couldn't have the windows open at night because of the street noise and the wind coming in. As was the case last year when Kim stayed the toilet seat was loose, and the shower cubicle tiny and the doors was really hard to slide shut.
Review 2：The room is in a good location for buses to Amalfi and Salerno. It was spacious and clean. The owner was happy to have breakfast ready very early twice in a row and came on time as promised.
Review 3：The room description mentioned the private toilet but we had to share with other guests. The private toilet is quite important for me and for that reason I was disappointed about that. The toilet was quite narrow and the toilet seat was broken
Review 4：The staff was really nice, he helped us with the parking and gave us tips on the best restaurants of the area. The room was really big and comfortable.
Review 5：Fausto (the owner), while is a nice guy, doesn't really speak English. If we needed something, we had to communicate through a translator app on his mobile. Also, there are 3 showers/bathrooms for 4 rooms. So although we booked two rooms with separate bathrooms, we had to share one. And the one toilet we had did not have a seat (which was a quite common problem in that region; probably after it breaks, they simply don't replace it). This was quite puzzling because otherwise everything was very clean and tidy. And as Kim mentioned in another review before, the water heating for the showers is not the best.
Review 6：Great location (although no view of the sea) and good atmosphere. Everything was clean; the furniture looked real nice. Breakfast was croissant, corn flakes, jam, butter, biscuits, coffee, juice and one time, a cake baked by the owners mother. It was delicious and always on time.
Review 7：*Owner was absent when I arrived at 12.20 pm so I had wait for 15 minutes with my heavy luggage, not knowing what he looked like and how he’d recognise me.*Owner offered keys and showed me my room, before quickly excusing himself, saying if there were any problems just call him on his cell. I had no phone, so he suggested I see his friend in the shop dowstairs and he would lend me his phone. Before hurriedly leaving, owner said he would not accept credit card payment – it had to be cash, because he didn’t want to pay tax on his earnings.I asked the owner if I could put a cucumber and some lettuce leaves in his fridge, but he rejected this request. Later I saw that the fridge contained only a bottle of water and a bottle of juice. Pretty mean of him.First problem, the water heater did not work properly – ran boiling hot one minute, lukewarm the next minute. Shower cubicle was very small, so I was scalded by hot water because I could not move to avoid it splashing on to me. Second problem, the room was cold. I turned up the heaters but there was no change to the temperature. By this time, his friend’s shop was closed, so I could do nothing about it. Next day at breakfast I told him about the heating so he switched something on in a cupboard near the door. Heating now working. Breakfast was ONE croissant, assortment of jams, juice, biscuits and coffee. Pretty mean of him. Bathroom did not contain a cake of soap in case of shaving and the ceiling had wires hanging down from a hole there.Heating system failed on last night and I had to chase up people in shop below to call owner. He offered to move me to another B&B but I declined. I was already packed to leave the next day. Tech called in at 9 pm to fix problem (took 30 minutes).For the money I paid, his service was very poor, and the fact that he wanted me to help him cheat the Italian government by paying cash reflects very badly on the type of clients you offer.
