Reviews for Stadshotel Jeroen

Review 1:Everything great: the atmosphere, staff, location, price, breakfast. I spent there 5 days and felt like at home. My suite was big, well designed and equipped. I would definitely come back to this hotel. I really, really recommend it.

Review 2:Wi-fi was rather poor.

Review 3:This is absolutely one of the best hotels I've ever been to and I think my favourite. The staff was great, very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Rooms (or actually suites) were spacious, clean, quiet and very comfortable with high standard equipment. The hotel itself is small, very cosy and its design as well as the atmosphere make you feel like at home. Breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend Stadsotel Jeroen to everyone, especially business travellers tired of all commercial and impersonal chain hotels, looking the same in every place. If you want to spend time at a fireplace and in your private sauna in the evening this is the best choice :)

Review 4:Remember you'll need to contact the hotel in advance if you're arriving after 6 pm. The hotel has no evening or night reception. Not a critique - it's a small hotel and an evening reception wouldn't make sense.

Review 5:My first time staying overnight in Den Bosch, a delightful city with a rich history. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of the train station - Den Bosch is one large pedestrian zone. Arrived at 9 pm to be met by the owner who explained all I needed to know and showed me to Room 4 on the 3rd floor. Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable (Auping) bed. Large bathroom with bath. Heard nothing except very distant chiming from the cathedral clock (not at night). Generous continental breakfast the next morning which included fresh fruit. Was initially curious about the very high rating for this small hotel. But they do everything to earn the extremely high rating. Well done.

Review 6:The only negative point, and this would be difficult to change, is that parking has to be done in a P&R car park. Perhaps more information on its use and which one to choose would be helpful. Once one has arrived all is very much within walking distance, and there is plenty to see and do.

Review 7:The excellent and personal service we received, starting with coffee (and a biscuit!) and a discussion about what we would like to do, and excellent and useful advice on where to go could not have been better. Breakfast was excellent too. Also, an offer to leave luggage until we wished to depart was gratefully accepted.

Review 8:Nothing bad to say about our lovely stay.

Review 9:Absolutely wonderful place to stay in Den Bosch. Our check-in concierge, Henk, was the most courteous, gracious and friendly staff person we have met in our many hotel stays around Europe. He took the time to explain the history of the hotel, surrounding artwork and places of interest around town. In the morning, he even made us eggs and bacon to order. We've never felt more welcome! Henk is a true gentleman.

Review 10:Coffeshops in the city are not available for foreigners :)

Review 11:It was pleasant stay. Hotel is in a very center of a wonderful city. Instead of late check-in i was welcomed warmly with some drinks. All staff people were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Hank (administrator) for his hospitality.

Review 12:This is an excellent hotel. We were on a week-long cycling tour of Belgium and Holland. The hotel provided us with a knockout suite that was a delight to stay in. Everyone in the hotel was extremely helpful and Hank, the manager, went out of his way to help us find somewhere great to eat (Allerlei). We travel around Holland every year and we will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Review 13:For the cost of the room, the breakfast options could have been better

Review 14:I made an error with the booking, however the hotel were happy to change the date, free of charge.

Review 15:In spite of our late check-in, we were greeted with a complimentary glass of wine and directed to the best place to find a late supper. We had a free room upgrade to a spacious and stylish suite. The hotel is ideally located for the historic parts of Den Bosch, and especially the Hieronymus Bosch Art Centre right next door.

Review 16:Staff people are friendly, always waiting you to for welcome. Room was really good and hotel near city center. Perfect breakfast like at home, always homemade.

Review 17:Den Bosch is really a nice city to visit! Beautiful view of the Cathedral from the hotel room is very impressive. The breakfast choices were perfectly fresh and delicious.

Review 18:There is nothing not to like about this hotel.

Review 19:I am a regular at the Stadshotel mainly because of its lovely interior, excellent location and cleanliness, but above all its personal service.

Review 20:I like everything... This doesnt apply to this hotel.

Review 21:The staff here are amazingly friendly and will go the extra mile to do anything for you. Breakfast is great, beds are comfy and you are a short walk from the market square and catherdral.

Review 22:The bed was not comfortable and it was really unfortunate that you can not check in after 1800 which made it really hard for us to be able to check in, in time.

Review 23:The location is brilliant and good for a quick stay in Den Bosch.

Review 24:The WLAN did not work. I seemed that they were in a hurry and did not manage to finish cleaning my room. There was still dirt in the toilette and also cleaning agent. In the trash was still waste and a candy paper (hidden by a cup) was still on a saucer. The check-in and check-out took a lot of time. I think the hotel is nice for vacation (when you have time), but not for business.

Review 25:The hotel is in the city center. It has a small size and therefore a familiar atmosphere.

Review 26:I hung my towels to reuse and I received new ones. Unfortunately I find this happens often at hotels. When guest are following the instructions to be more environmentally friendly, more often than not they still receive new towels!!

Review 27:Welcome drink and friendliness of staff. Cleanliness and decor.

Review 28:No complaints at all!

Review 29:I most like the personal touch this hotel has. After my business dinner, I had a drink with the owner at the fireplace. I really feel at home at this hotel.

Review 30:Henk, the manager, has created a home from home, with a personable hands on touch the big hotel chains do not understand ho to do. If you are planning a couple of days in the N Brabant region, put the Stadshotel Jeroen at the top of your list.

Review 31:+ excellent location in a quiet part of the city center + we booked the suite which was quite spacious, large modern bathroom + nice breakfast and very kind host

Review 32:We were warmly welcomed by Henk the manager, the waiter in the restaurant was helpful and chatty. Breakfast was very good and we really enjoyed our stay

Review 33:I marked clearly on my booking that I would arrive late at 11pm. TheOwner missed it and when I called to say I was lost he gave me amouthful about having to wait 5-hours after normal reception time forme. Then when I arrived the gate was locked and when the owner finallyarrived he told me I couldn't stay and that I would have to sleepelsehwhere, then after a conversation he let me stay. The main livingroom with sofas was locked during the day making my room the onlyplace to hang out outside meal times. Milk was not left out atbreakfast and on the Saturday the owner cleared breakfast away beforethe 10am finish at 9:30am. There is no free parking near the hotel, itis all pay parking and very expensive so if you are driving and notrich then this isn't the hotel for you! The service I recievedfrom Owner was mixed.

Review 34:There is a bath in the bathroom. The bed was relatively comfortable. Theview was great - facing the church and street. Quiet at night. The otherstaff were polite and friendly. Owner lent me an adapter plug and helpedme with maps to find my course on the first day. The service I recievedfrom all other staff was great.

Review 35:The hotel was overall excellent. The rooms are large, very comfortable and have everything you could want. Breakfast was tasty and the fresh squeezed orange juice made it even better. The best hotel I have stayed at!

Review 36:We stayed too short

Review 37:This small scale hotel in the very center of town is an oasis of unusual quality: great eye for detail in both outfit and genuine hospitality. Unexpectedly quiet at night. Great breakfast. All highlights can be reached on foot. Good and personal guidance for places of interest and restaurants. Easy going staff.

Review 38:Set in a beautiful building with lots of interesting antique furniture and artwork, and in a great location with the best parts of Den Bosch just a couple of minutes walk away. The city is also wonderful for night life. The hotel staff really make an effort to make you feel welcome and are very personable.

Review 39:Parking was bit tight, but even then the hotel went out of its way to help.

Review 40:Friendly service. Made to feel special and welcome, excellent food, beautiful location.

Review 41:Trying to find the hotel by sat nav if you are driving, it is not obvious from the street only because the hotel is actually a very stylish classical former rectory and does not look like a hotel at all. So really not a negative just an observation. Typically you have to use a local car park as the town is more people and bike friendly, yet again not really a negative as once you are in the hotel there is very little traffic noise even though you are in the middle of town.

Review 42:The Staff were superb, the rooms were fabulous, everything was clean and stylish. Boutique hotel but not at all pretentious. Breakfast was fresh and the staff were attentive but never overbearing. Only stayed in Den Bosch because of the car train connection but would now come back because of the hotel and the town. Just charming for all ages.

Review 43:We spent two nights in Stadshotel Jeroen with family. We had booked regular rooms but on arrival both of our rooms were upgraded to suites. Henk was most welcoming, offered free coffee and drinks at checkin and gave us some great tips about Den Bosch. Breakfast was excellent, in fact the best breakfast we had during the week we spent in The Netherlands. Juice, eggs and fruit were prepared fresh. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Den Bosch.

Review 44:Lovely room, staff very courteous and friendly.

Review 45:Welcome by owner & very relaxed atmosphere, amazing buildings.

Review 46:nothing at all

Review 47:Feels like your home away from home because of the friendly staff and unique building.

Review 48:Very helpful staff Very good accomodation Good value for money

Review 49:Quiet, small hotel, big rooms, friendly staff

Review 50:Quite expensive because large room which we did not need

Review 51:Superb location with the most welcoming hospitality

Review 52:Beautiful stay in a cosy atmosphere.Felt at home.

Review 53:Excellent location in the middle of town. Not like your usual hotel thanks to to personal touch and small scale.

Review 54:Quiete and well situated

Review 55:Location and quality of the facilities

Review 56:No one avaiable in the evening

Review 57:Location

Review 58:I have stayed at this hotel before and was rewarded with a super suite room. It was lovely! I really enjoyed my stay. Too bad it was not for longer!

Review 59:Very friendly and helpful staff, great location

Review 60:Incredible welcome. Fantastic food.

Review 61:I was upgraded to the suite and it was bigger than my appartment. Super friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere.

Review 62:Location, ambiance, care, it has it all! More than a hotel can give. A place you will call home.

Review 63:Room was a bit small and stuffy

Review 64:Location, friendliness of staff, quality of breakfast

Review 65:Excellent hotel with professional, helpful and very cordial staff, large and comfortable rooms, high quality breakfast.

Review 73:friendly reception good located in the city center quiet area very well maintained supportive staff good breakfast

Review 74:Amasing hotel, outstanding place, charming staff and lavish breakfast!

Review 75:Had a kettle in room and cups but no milk, tea or coffee a bit bizarre! Mattress was not so comfortable

Review 76:Warm welcome, great location.

Review 77:Zero

Review 78:Staff and welcome

Review 79:A small mirror directly behind the basin in the bathroom would be useful .

Review 80:Great hospitality. And everything relating to the Hieronymus Bosch experience.

Review 81:A well run hotel with a good location in the centre of Den Bosch. The price is good for the quality of the hotel, and my room was very comfortable. The free hotel internet actually works, which is not something you can say about many places. The people running the hotel are very attentive and welcoming, on arrival they take time to give you an introduction to the city. On the whole, I'm very satisfied - this is a hotel I will return to.

Review 82:- Very professional and friendly staff - Modern, elegant, but at the same time a warm and welcoming atmosphere - Very comfortable beds Also, it may seem unimportant to some but I have to point out how well the free wifi was set up with individual connections and option to use a wired connection in every room with more than adequate bandwidth.

Review 83:Nothing really, I think rooms would be hot in high summer so air conditioning would be nice.

Review 84:I stay in Denbosch quite regular with work, it was my first time at Stadshotel Jeroen since my regular hotel was full. The hotel is quite small with only a few rooms and suites. It is situated in a nice part of Denbosch close to the center but in a quite area. I arrived late and the owner/manager had stayed to personally welcome me with a complementary beer which was nice. I had not eaten and he also made me some sandwiches since most restaurants were now closed. On arrival he showed me a map of the city and explained were all the best places to eat/visit were. He then showed me my room with a small guided tour of the hotel. The room was small but clean and tidy with everything you could need including tea/coffee making. The bathroom was also clean with clean towels and nice quality soaps and shower gels. The rooms are on the top floor with slanting roofs so height is restricted in some parts of the room, but the views was excellent, overlooking the Cathedral. I think rooms could be hot in summer but there was a fan in the room (air-con would be cherry on the cake). The breakfast was good with a continental style, but the owner made me fresh eggs and bacon. The hotel offers a very personal touch were the owner was very polite and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay here again and the hotel deserves all the good reviews it has.

Review 85:I have never stayed in a hotel with such personalized service, took a moment to appreciate it and realize that it is actually truly exceptional in the most positive sense of the word.

Review 86:Friendly, personalized reception Great attention to detail Fantastic service

Review 87:The staff were friendly and helpful, and very welcoming. I was given a map of the area and a drink on the house when I arrived. The room was well equipped and had tea and coffee facilities, as well as plenty of power points for plugging in a phone charger etc. There was also free wifi. There was a good breakfast in the morning. This hotel is centrally located, and is very close the the beautiful Cathedral. If I ever went back to Den Bosch, I would definitiely stay here again.

Review 88:Nothing whatsoever

Review 89:Excellent stay. Nicely located next to the Jeroen Bosch museum, and integrated in the center of this beautiful town. View from the room window on the cathedral. Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff. With personal touch. Fitting well with the social culture of the city.

Review 90:They were very friendly and advised us a very good restaurant, the room was very clean, the breakfast had everything you want. the building was nice renovated. We advised our Dutch company to use this hotel whenever we need to book a hotel for clients.

Review 91:Just 1 minor point. The quilts on the bed were too thick, so even when the room was not too warm it got hotter and hotter under the quilts during the night. There were no thinner ones in the wardrobe.

Review 92:Very friendly and informative reception with a drink. Upgrade tot a suite without extra charge. Nice breakfast with fress juice and a very well fried egg served by a very kind waitress. Nice well-chosen classical music and original art on the walls. The room was the right temperature. The building is nicely renovated. Next to the hotel is the very enjoyable Jeroen Bosch Art Centre with an interesting exhibition of photoprints and statues of the works of Jeroen Bosch, of whom there is unfortunately no original painting preserved in his own town.

Review 93:I enjoyed my last stay at the hotel so much that this time I combined staying at the hotel with a business trip. When I called from the railway station upon arrival the staff even offered to pick me up!

Review 94:We received a very friendly welcome on arrival at the Stadshotel Jeroen. This is a beautiful old building, which has been tastefully restored and decorated. It is in an excellent location. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was first class with freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs cooked to order.

Review 95:I am a business traveler and have lodged in this hotel many times. You will get a great price for a great hotel. This is a unique hotel. Stated in the heart of Den Bosch about 300m from the infamous Sint Jan Church. Looking out of the windows you will have the breath taking view of this Church… especially at nights you will enjoy the great light work which illuminates the church. The hotel itself actually is part of another ancient monumental church, Jeroen Bosch church. Which it gives the hotel a special vibe. You will find chesterfield fauteuils, burning fireplace and portrait paintings on the ancient brick inner walls of the hotel. In the restaurant there are original Jeroen Bosch paintings on the wall. Perfect choice for a romantic weekend.

Review 96:Stadshotel Jeroen is centrally located in a beautiful building. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. All staff was polite and friendly during our entire stay and I enjoyed an excellent breakfast. It has been a wonderful experience and I will definitely rerun to this hotel.

Review 97:The local weather.... ;-)

Review 98:Wonderful atmosphere in the heart of the city; very friendly welcome by the hotel's staff. Got a free upgrade to one of the suites on the top floor. Felt like home away from home. Absolutely recommendable. Look forward to going back.

Review 99:N/A

Review 100:Very warm welcome and helpful staff. Comfortable room with excellent facilities and a very good breakfast. Two nights of comfort at first class hotel in a very attractive part of the town. will certainly return

Review 101:We liked the friendly and service oriented atmosphere, the unpretentious, yet tasteful interiors, the personal attention at the breakfast table, the quiet, yet central location, the cleanliness. In short: everything one would want from a hotel of that size.

Review 102:- Rooms are clean; - Beautiful view from the window at the attic; - Location: 10 minutes by foot from the Central Station; a lot of shops an restaurants nearby

Review 103:Friendly and caring staff. Always open and willing to help you with whatever you want. Breakfast was excellent, all fresh, various choices. Room was clean with spaceous wardrobe which I appreciate when travelling for business. Small hotel, just few rooms, quiet and cozy.

Review 104:Wi-Fi range.

Review 105:This is a small hotel where you come in direct contact with the owners who try to make sure you enjoy every minute of our stay and offer a lot of valuable tips as regards the town. There's nothing to dislike here. I like the anonymous character of large hotels but for those seeking home outside home, Stadshotel would be a perfect choice.

Review 106:Very friendly welcome with a cup coffee offered while registering, anduseful information given about the town. We had a free room upgrade toone of the two suites (we had a sauna as part of the ensuite), very wellappointed indeed. Excellent breakfast with eggs cooked to order, freshlysqueezed orange juice. Was a shame to only have one night there andwould thoroughly recommend
