Review 1:Around the sink in the bathroom looked tired. Tour operator giving instructions to a party of tourists about the following days events whilst we were trying to have a relaxing evening meal. Noise of one loud guest !

Review 3:The location is great, the staff fantastic. However, for a hotel in this price range we expected a bigger, more comfortable room and a much bigger bathroom. Also, charging 20 Euro daily entrance fees for just using saunas, etc. seems out of line.
Review 4:Landscape around the hotel was outstanding but if you plan to visit Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi etc during your stay then it is a little far whether your getting a bus or self driving. We drove most days so it got a little tiring but also allowed us to see plenty of the beautiful sights. If you are happy sitting by the pool each day then you wouldn't want to stay anywhere else, you will not be disappointed or get bored of the view at Hotel Raito. Bed was a little hard but that is personal preference and after a long day exploring or sunbathing you won't even notice.
Review 5:Hotel Raito, well what can I say.. Thank you! We had a partial sea view room with an added view of the valley. View from the room was fantastic, as were the views from every other part of the hotel. Room was very big and clean. The furnishings were a little dated but we didn't plan to sit in the room on our holiday so didn't mind at all. The bathroom was modern and clean. Room service carried out daily and of a high standard. Pool and view was perfect and the swim up bar is fantastic. Helpful hint: Keep an eye on your bar tab. All staff are very friendly and helpful. We also had a lovely meal at the hotel on our last night, I did request a table to have the best view but was advised first in first served but when we arrived the restaurant was full and the best table was already awaiting our arrival. A nice surprise.

Review 22:The staff are rude, they are very un professional at check out, they are especially not good with resolving any complaints or queries you have. The air conditioning had to be turned on or off via the main receptionist. The pool was out of service the gym was poor with no water or towels provided, this hotel doesn't deserve the 5 star rating at all. I advise them to close the hotel and renovate it and give it to better management.

Review 24:First room we had, was next to the sewerage lines, watermark on the ceiling, electrical cover plate missing and the outside chairs were broken. We got moved to another room, smaller and was told it was the same price-because it had sea views! Wanted to speak to the manager, until eventually the next day we did. He was understanding and upgraded us to a much better room. When we checked out the night before because we had an early departure, we got the final bill and paid. Upon departure, they had miscalculated and we had to pay for an extra night (that's right), but landed up costing us an extra 10 minutes we didn't have to catch a flight 50 minutes away. The hotel has great views, but at least a 40 minute walk to the beach on a narrow road and very street descent and ascent.

Review 26:Extremely high cost of restaurant Poor attention to detail by staff- namely forgetting to keep the schedule of the shuttle service to Vietri Centro even when customers have booked a specific return at night , I was stranded for 30 minutes ...fortunately I had a phone and called. Reception said the driver was busy doing other things !!! They need to be diligent in keeping to their published schedule , ESPECIALLY when customers book the shuttle .This Hotel doesn't warrant a 5 star rating...4 or 4.5 at best. Staff had poor command of English despite almost all clientele being English speaking. Breakfast was good but canned fruits? Really now ...everywhere else in 3-4 Stars we had FRESH ALWAYS !!

Review 30:The bar closed relatively early. The reception staff need some further training, staff member was very slow at check in and again at check out. We had already put our luggage in the car but she asked twice if we wanted help with it, while another guest stood beside us struggling with her luggage and wedding dress and they did not offer to help her.

Review 36:Where can we start? We had a suite with beach view (room 418) and a private terrace. It was dusty and smelly. There was also a window which existed only on the inside!! Yes, it had some wood covering it in the balcony. Regarding the staff, they were neither attentive not helpful. Didn't even look Italian!! After 11 pm there was nothing open in the hotel (not even room service to serve you a pre-made sandwich or a plate of fruits). Moreover, breakfast in the room was always late (15 min, at least) and the order was never right (they forgot the juice or the cup for the coffee, etc). When requested to provide with an iron board and an iron at the room, it took them over one hour to deliver it, after 3 calls. A housekeeper came and replied "we have too many weedings and they are using all the appliances. You must wait...). Finally, check-out took them over 15 min for a 2 nights stay... Unbelievable for a 5 star hotel. The hotel is more of a weeding venue site for locals and not more than that... We have seen 4 different brides and respective guests in 48 hours... It is probably a low segment 4 star hotel...

Review 40:Front of house staff were not overly friendly or helpful. Room a disappointment. Considering it was a 5* hotel, no English channels except news, not even pay per view channels. Breakfast was ok, asked for fried eggs but were unable to eat them as had so much salt on them.

Review 42:The Inclusive Spa is not worth paying for. Basically it is an indoor pool with jacuzzi type seats that half of which didn't work. And 2 big showers, one of which didn't work and the other one basically sprayed water all over the ceiling. The "relaxation room" was nice if you don't mind ants crawling all over you and the floor. View from the room, not so good. The photos of the exclusive balcony rooms were a false representation of the actual view, which was actually of some type of out building. Really disappointing. Take your own bag to your room unless you want to wait ages to get it! Bathroom was like something from the 1980s. Nothing about this hotel made you feel special or like you were in a 5* hotel. Seriously, unless it's like €120 per room a night expect to be disappointed.

Review 46:Definitely not a five-star hotel. We found out after we arrive that the owners are under court because of criminal affairs. Other guests told that their friends who checked out earlier paid more extras than they had. Food is so-so, shuttle to and from the sea is 30 minutes late and the guests are waiting at the road and calling the reception, spa people made us wait several times and then said they cannot do the treatment that I wanted, wi-fi does not work - three, four times a day you cannot use it, usually in the evening. The excursion that I ordered was twice cancelled and they suggested to use public boat if we want to go to this excision... bad service, employees are rude.

Review 50:The staff should have done a bit more to give more comfort to the guests. there were a couple of episodes that left me speechless. I kept a positive attitude as I wanted to enjoy my staying as much as possible, but i trust other guests might have a lower level of tollerance. Here what disappointed me:1) during my staying there were maintenance on the spa but they didn't informed me when i make a booking; whan i found were continuous noises from maintenance workers, sauna not available and even smell of sigarette inside the relax room. When I asked the hotel staff to invite the maintenance workers to make less noise and respect the quiet of the place, the hotel staff replied they cannot do anything because those people are not part of the hotel and they are "working". Wow, their reply left me astonished: I respect other people work and i pretend also respect for my relaxing time (which is the main reason why u go to spa). Am I not paying you for a moment of relax after a year of work? should you respect my need of a relaxing time as well and schedule the maintenance when no guest is inside or at least ask the maintenance people to respect the hotel rules?)2) there were a few electricity interruptions which caused some inconvenients (i.e. lift not working, no aircon, sauna out of use, the room card not working properly). Also in this case, the staff said it was not their fault - and i can accept it - however they asked me to carry my luggages by myself by hand up and down to the 3rd floor, then doing again up and down by stairs because the card was not working, and that nothing could be done with aircon, well... at this point I wished they could have been more empathetic and try to help me more concretely than just saying they cannot do anything (at least with luggages).3) finally, I drunk 2 bottles of water from the minibar (0.5 liter each) and I surprisingly found a 15$ charge on the bill because of that water.
Review 51:the hotel faces the bay from an excellent location. The facilities are awesome and comfortable. You can enjoy a delicious and rich breakfast, having sunbath by the panoramic pool or relax in the spa.

Review 79:Restaurant was atrocious. We had to send the meal back on the firstnight and the next time we tried it 3 days later, I had food poisoningfrom the tuna and was sick all night. Reception staff generally do notcare, not helpful, our initial Deluxe Room was awful with brokenwindows, a window boarded up, and we had to be moved twice before wewere given a room to the standard that was expected. When booking on thesite the picture clearly showed a different style room and we noticed 3weeks later it had been changed to a different picture. What we ended upwith was a deluxe sea view room which I would recommend every time asthe others are just not up to standard and certainly not worth the €200+price tag. I wrote by email 3 times before we arrived as we would not bethere until 7pm and check in apparently closes at 6pm. Not one email wasresponded to. We were rudely phoned in our room at 11.30pm for a copy ofour passports (please wait until the morning!). A coffee in the lobbywas too much to ask (even though staff were merrily eating their lunchthere), wifi was intermittent (this does happen a lot in Italy however)and our complimentary fruit and wine did not arrive at our room (aspromised by booking.com) - when we raised this we were told there was nosuch offer and it was only when I showed them our booking which clearlystated it, the receptionist retracted and sent up a bottle thatafternoon (on day 3). This is a 3 star hotel masquerading as 5 star. Notworth the stay

Review 91:We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Raito wellness and Spa. Staff were veryfriendly, gave us tips on different areas to sightsee and generalinformation. The location was good as we were not too far away fromautostrada. It is literally in the beginning of the amalfi coast road.So it was convenient. We did not have to lug our luggage 100 steps ormore as in many small towns or pay for car park which can get quiteexpensive when you are parking for 4 days. . This place has a big carpark and the porter got our suitcases to our room. Food was good,breakfast was so, so... They could have had more breakfast items.Anyways, most of the time we ate in different places. Overall, roomcomfort very good, views were breathtaking as we got a great room witha huge balcony facing the ocean. The only negative point was thetemperature in the room- you can't control it. You can't turnit off, it has to be between 21- 23 deg and it was so warm at nightthat we had to leave the glass door slightly open and mosquitoes gotin. I wish each room could control their thermostats. Great Stayotherwise.... H & k

Review 95:Beautiful location with great views of the coastline. Wonderful breakfast and enjoyable breakfast room and relaing lobby with great views. Very helpful staff that spoke English and helped us enjoy our experience. They also provided a free shuttle to a local restaurant and back which was appreciated, since driving the cliff-hanging roads at night was thus avoided. Spaciaous parking on premises. The facility is very nice with tasteful marble and wood accents, a very nice atmosphere. Very clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Review 98:For starters, this is not a 4.5 star property. I have stayed in 4 and 5star hotels, and there is no way this is in the same universe. There isa total lack or professionalism on the part of the employees. They actlike they are doing you a favour by hosting you. Our room, which wassupposed to be in the 2nd highest category, had a 1/2 window, with theother window drywalled in, so our "seaview" was seriously limited. Itwasn't until after we spoke with the manager that they moved us toanother room, which actually looked like the online photo. We also neverreceived the "welcome" fruit and wine we were anticipating. The room wasnicely decorated, but the beds hard as rock. The air conditioning iscontrolled by the front desk. Your options within your control arebetween 20 and 22c. Never ever seen this in my life. Part of our roomcategory included wifi. For 2 days this was not possible, because theprinter that issued the internet passwords was not functioning. In lieuof this, we were offered 2 communal computers, located 3 floors from ourroom, which constantly froze up and were painfully slow. Other gueststrying to use them commented on this as well. The food, and room servicewere a mess. Room service got every order incorrect, and one timebrought only one meal out of 2. We were told things shown on the menudid not exist. I understand there may be a language barrier, but seeingas this hotel caters to tourists, it might be a good idea to havesomeone with better knowledge of English, which was spoken by about 3/4of the clientele.The calibre of the food, while costly, was veryaverage. With all the wonderful fruits and vegetables in the area, itwas cafeteria like. Our best food was enjoyed off the hotel premises.Pool service was supposed to have lunch offered.

Review 102:Staff is nose-up, arrogant and absolutelly unhelpfull. We sayed in plainsummer and the air-conditioning system was not working properly. Ourroom tempetature was around 25 degrees centigrades at night, which is tohot to me. I had to buy a fan to be able to sleep. Despite my constantcomplains I was never contacted by Daniele (the director) thatcompletely disregarded our problem. Our laundry took 3 days to return,and probaby only arrived because we complained. Enough only to take theclean clothes back home. We had to wash some T-Shirts by ourselves as wedidn't have clean ones anymore, ridiculous... In the day we rented aboat our son was sleepy in the morning and did not want to takebreakfast so we requested a container to bring some food to him and itwas denied to us. WiFi is only available @ public areas of the hotel butnot @ the pool. The towels are changed just once per day even if theyare wet. So if you want to take two or three baths per day to get rid ofclorine from pool or salt from sea, be prepared to use wet towels orrequest a dry one and wait aroud 20 minutes for them to arrive!Definitely this is not a five star hotel....
Review 103:The rooms of the newly built Sirein area are spacious and welldecorated. Our room (also at the Sirein area) however had some bigstains in the gypsum roof. The pool is nice and the views of the SalernoBay are really beautifull.
Review 104:The fitness center was outdoors and it was cold and rainy most of thetime we were there so it was closed. The hotel receptionists knew verylittle about trips around or near Raito. They just kept calling thetravel agents office, which was closed for the Easter holiday. Theydidn't even have a ferry schedule for Capri for us to use or at leastdidn't offer one to us.
