Reviews for PURO Hotel Wrocław

Review 1:Dinning room to small. Staff slow at clearing dirty crockery from your table or don't clear at all!

Review 2:Modern, clean lines. Good breakfast. Comfortable room.

Review 3:The only thing I would say the hotel could change is when using the Internet through the TV provided we cannot actually get a keyboard up to type so internet cannot be used. Maybe provide a key board or make sure it works on TV. Otherwise there would be absolutely nothing I could fault. Foods amazing. Anyone who loves steak eat from the steak bar opposite as it is amazing! Lovely coffee/tea/hot choc ect maker in the reception area free of charge. If there was a 10* this would be in the running. :)

Review 4:Lovely hotel! Amazing location. Can't fault it

Review 5:The staff was not exactly unfriendly but I have had such great experiences with friendly staff elsewhere in Poland that I know it can be better. A "twin bed" room in combination with a bathroom with glass panes for walls is a bit of an oxymoron. The twin beds where too narrow for my tastse Perhaps the city, but in mid January this hotel was the most expensive one I had in Poland at €180,- for one room, 2 nights.

Review 6:Location, Location, Location! A stone throw from all the attractions, right across the road from a great restaurant and a few hundred meters from a great café for breakfast. The lobby, who needs Starbucks if you are staying at the Puro Hotel? Internet is actually working!!!

Review 7:We found the beds very uncomfortable with terrible roll together on the double bed. The staff are very young and inexperienced but try hard. The restaurant had no drinks menu and it was hard to order.

Review 8:The hotel is well located and very pleasant with lots of effort made to create a great atmosphere for guests. The room are well appointed.

Review 9:Shower could have a door and the staff seems to be surfing more the net then focusing on the customer.

Review 10:PERFECT location, clean with good internet and good breakfast. Around are lots of nice pubs and restaurant and the Jewish synagogue. 7 minutes nice walk to the city center.

Review 11:N/a

Review 12:Puro is a very funky modern hotel with a spectacular locations as well as all of the modern facilities in place. Highly recommend it and was very impressed.

Review 13:I was expecting to use the early check in as Genious Privileg, but it was not available. After new year eve the rooms where clean and prepeared a bit in a rush.

Review 14:As usual the rooms are great, the free serviceis a nice perk and the staff useful.

Review 15:1. water went out for a couple hours but staff gave us a case of bottled water. 2. runny powdered eggs for breakfast are a disappointment. they do have varied types of sandwiches though.

Review 16:1. one of the most comfortable beds I have ever laid in if not the best. if soft fluffy beds by hilding are your thing, then look no further. 2. heated bathroom floors! this should be mandatory for all hotels. 3. free hot drinks in the lobby. 4. 10 min walk to the rynek.

Review 17:towels are to small

Review 18:the hotel was very clean and i loved how they hav ipads for u to use .cleaned room everyday refreshd water exc .great location and everythings so cheap .refilled hot drinks with ur key card alday long was great.

Review 19:Great location and staff at this well-appointed hotel a few minutes from the main square. Seemed to be more geared towards business travelers but didn't feel out of place being there for leisure.

Review 20:Not much storage space in our room and the duvet was much smaller than the bed. Would have preferred non gas bottled water but didn't seem to be any way to ask for that. A map to show the quickest way to the old town would be useful. Also could the hotel stock the tourist maps and a map of tram and bus routes ?

Review 21:The bed was comfortable, nice location, nice view from the window of our room, quiet at night. The restaurant was good value and offered a nice selection of food. The free hot drinks and bottled water were good.

Review 22:more experienced members of staff were kind of bored and tried too much to look cool-style rather than just be cool and friendly :) ps. please give some instructions how to turn off tablet on the wall

Review 23:breakfast and service of it by new girl working there

Review 24:It is a nice idea with the transparency of the bathroom, but it is a bad idea not to be soundproofing.

Review 25:Great location, extremely clean and comfortable.

Review 26:In the middle of the night suddenly room systems stopped with a message "room is empty" while we were still there. It is possible to connect laptop to HDMI but remember to take your own cable as reception couldn't help us. Free coffee however during our stay two machines were out of service.

Review 27:Modern style.

Review 28:The bathrooms have glass walls with just a curtain to shield yourself, probably not the best place for a first time getaway with your new partner.

Review 29:Very stylish, right by the water, free coffee, relaxed atmosphere.

Review 30:Tiny, cold and very loud rooms. The whole time I had an impression that the window in the room was open, although it was closed. The furniture and in general everything in the hotel is of low quality. The staff has no idea about Hospitality management. Never again.

Review 31:The building on the outside.

Review 32:We had room 334, which was at the very end of a U shaped hotel. long walk from the elevator which was on the other side. Heating was broken (Only floorheating anyway :-( ) so it was freezing cold, since it was the outer room of the hotel (so 2 sides facing the outside wall). They couldn´t fix it, but we got free breakfast for 3 days, which was nice. Also, the TV System crashed and you couldn´t turn on the TV. Took a while for the staff to reset the whole room system. The touchscreen for the controls didn´t dim at night.which was annoying (only after I complained, they explained how to switch it off..with the light switch next to the bed..bit strange). There wasn´t enough space or shelves for 2 people to put your clothes away. small room..

Review 33:The Hotel has a great location close to the old town and the main atrractions of the city. Everything is in walking distance and some nice bars are really close by. You get 5 warm drinks in the lobby per day (Good Dallmayr machine with coffee, latte, tea, hot water etc.) The room has a multifunctional Flatscreen TV with a built in jukebox. Breakfast was good, with already made sandwiches, rolls, wraps, good polish sausage and scrambled eggs, as well as freshly baked bread, different salads and nice cakes and sweets...Staff was friendly and tried to help us as much as they could. the hotel is pretty stylish and modern, nice interior.

Review 34:The decor was great fun, and the lighting options in the room were incredibly extensive. The bed was wonderfully soft and everything was extremely comfortable.

Review 35:Only 2 English tv channels both were news would have been nice to have a film channel for the evenings

Review 36:Fantastic modern hotel with good wifi and free hot drinks. Also the goats cheese salad was absolutely divine :)

Review 37:No big problems, but the laundry didn't get collected. The cleaner persons and reception persons handled things really well. I was offered a free drink in return for the confusion over not collecting the laundry. I had not noticed to put my name and room number on the laundry bag so it was partly my fault. However the cleaner could have written on the bag for me. The 24 hour delivery does not work on Sundays.

Review 38:Great team in reception and at breakfast.

Review 39:Room is a bit small in size and the luggage area was not enough to place my 28" suitcase. Restaurant was very crowded if there were group tours.

Review 40:Great location to the old town in just a few minutes, modern room design, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and tablets were provided in the lobby area for free us. The complimentary tea and coffee provided in the lobby was also a nice touch especially after returning the hotel in a cold day. Very good value for money.

Review 41:This is a really cool hotel in which we really enjoyed staying at. The breakfast while not included in our room rate was very good with plenty of choice. Really appreciated the bottles of water in our room which were replenished every day. Location is super and hotel was spotless. Great atmosphere for the Ireland Poland match. we were two adults and a one year old.

Review 42:The restaurant/bar area is a bit sterile - Canteen like. Lots of mod cons that didn't work smoothly, like the wall mounted screen in room incl telephone and software problems with interactive TV. When issues raised, there was no feedback from the staff and I had to follow up.

Review 43:Very comfortable and clean. Good location near the Old Town.

Review 44:Air conditioning didn't seem to work, we got our rooms changed but it was exactly the sane .We came to the conclusion that the air condition was just terrible and not modern, felt like it was just a normal room temperature etc. No effect.

Review 45:Staff were extremely attentive and were very polite.

Review 46:Small room. Water is leaving shower and leaving all floor wet in the toilet.

Review 47:Very good location in the center of the city. Modern new hotel. Nice design.

Review 48:It is not possible to place costs at the bar to the room invoice number. Breakfast could be richer.

Review 49:Very professional but at some moments little bit to rigid stuff.

Review 50:The staff were really accommodating - we were a large party with 2 people in wheelchairs and they helped us with getting a wheelchair. Nothing was too much trouble. And the hotel was high tech and funky

Review 51:The bed was too soft and in double bed room we had to share one big blanket, we are not used to do so

Review 52:Great location, close to the city centre, many restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel is very modern, new, stylish. We did not try the breakfast, we ate in the cafe just round the corner. We parked the car in the underground garage for 60 PLZ.

Review 53:Breakfast would benefit from a few more hot food options, but otherwise an all round excellent hotel.

Review 54:Rooms are fantastic. Modern and trendy. Love the HDMI port next to the bed and the custom mood lighting is a nice touch. Great location too. Just a 5 minutes walk from the square but far enough not to suffer from the noise of the town at 3am like many of the central hotels.

Review 55:The staff on front desk mostly, are just not friendly or welcoming enough! More smiling more eye contact please!!!!!

Review 56:The rooms are high spec and the location excellent!

Review 57:expensive parking, payment in advance, no possibility to use restaurant on room account ( independent restaurant )

Review 58:location in the city downtown, nice, modern building

Review 59:The room tablet controls are a little fussy and to us it seemed that if you wished to change comfort setting during the night you had to turn lights on.

Review 60:Very contemporary and bright room. The hotel is in a lovely settin close to old town on one side and a linear park running alongside river the other side. Some restaurants of character nearby. A lot of new developments are enhancing the neighbourhood

Review 61:Plenty of tea and coffee available in the lobby and in the cafe but not in the room.

Review 62:Staff were very helpful, hotel is clean and in a convenient position, breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

Review 63:No reward scheme for loyalty, having stayed at every Puro it would be nice to be recognised by the business.

Review 64:Grt location 2 min walk to old town square. Tram just around the corner if needed to get to the galeria. Several bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The staff were very helpful to. Secure underground parking on site always a bonus.

Review 65:Apparently It's not possible to charge food/drinks to your room....this can be a problem if you dont have cash on you (as I didn't at my arrival), and also a bit frustrating paying for 2 beers with a credit card! And bar bills and food bills are apart, so you need to pay them separately.....

Review 66:The hotel, facilities and staff were all top notch.

Review 67:I always book a king delux but never get it unless I ask at check in which is a bit annoying - as it expensive in comparison to other hotels in the area...all the rooms are more or less the same and with an upgrade you only get robe slippers kettle fridge + extra 1ft space if you ask they only have a few of these rooms and if you upgrade be sure to get what you upgrade to in writhing or you just get the ordinary room - it's embarrassing to have to ask at check in for the room/upgrade which you booked/pay for. Nothing really to dislike it's just the rooms maybe should be sold as simply standard or plus extras.., certainly not deluxe Can be a bit noisy at night from the bar next door which didn't bother me but you can hear it.

Review 68:Stayed at this hotel several times it's always nice to see the staff who are friendly and helpful :) All rooms rates have free hot drinks in the main reception which is nice. It's a nice basic hotel the meals & service are very good - room service is included:)

Review 69:Football advertised which wasn't put on the screen. When I asked about this the male staff member was very abrupt. If I had known I would have arranged to see the match elsewhere. The TV only had 4 English Channels, 2 with films/programmes. At times there was nothing in English.

Review 70:Very comfortable beds, good food and great location.

Review 71:The staff seemed shy and wouldn't look me in the eye until I approached them with a direct question. Then they were more than helpful. Perhaps this is company policy.

Review 72:The modern vibe and sheer efficiency and the garden was superb.

Review 73:The TV suddenly came on each night in the middle of the night and so did the bathroom light.

Review 74:The location and ease of parking. The very pleasant and helpful staff. Everything was easy to use, and the room was clean, new and very stylish. It was excellent value for money.

Review 75:Lack of privacy of the WC; using the toilet in the ground floor recommended

Review 76:Most interesting architecture of the hotel and its facilities incl. garden. The room was rather small but well thaught through with very good TV

Review 77:There were no free parking places available, despite it was stated when booking. The breakfast was relatively expensive and for the quality of the other services provided it seems like a downfall to me.

Review 78:The location is great, right at the hearth of the old town. The room was very nice with comfortable bed. There was an option for free bikes, which was also great.

Review 79:although most of the staff were helpful and friendly, some were not which was a shame. the food seemed a little more expensive than the neighbouring restaurants and there wasn't much on the menu.

Review 80:the room was very nice, especially like the fact there was some English channels on the TV. the bed was incredibly comfortable also having unlimited hot chocolate was a plus.

Review 81:The glass bathroom could do with a privacy curtain that runs the entire length of the windows instead of across the centre of the room. Also, the rooms would benefit from a full length mirror.

Review 82:Excellent location, very close to main square! Staff were friendly and welcoming, and rooms were clean and comfortable.

Review 83:couldn't work out the air con in the room, but managed to open the window and the temperature in the room was ok so we didn't make a fuss about it

Review 84:very very comfy bed, excellent breakfast (choice and quality), complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby was a great bonus, great location, lovely courtyard to hang around/ have breakfast. Re glass bathroom - make sure you're close to whoever you stay in the room - while you can pull over the curtain while you shower, when you go to the loo everything can be heard.... We didn't mind it though.

Review 85:I would have the rooms a bit bigger especially with a young baby.

Review 86:I thought the chef was excellent his/her food was superb. The staff were very friendly and helpful the hotel and rooms itself were beautiful. I would definitely recommend the Puro Hotel

Review 87:I like everything about this hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were very kind and always ready to help. As I visited alone must say very safe place to stay. I will love to recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Review 88:Spotless and modern with some fun technology and details (self check in & check out, heated bathroom floor, tablet in room to control heating and check weather etc, free coffee and books downstairs, glass walled bathroom).

Review 89:Despite the sound-proofing the room was overlooking the outdoor area and unfortunately you could hear people below as well as the live band which inconveniently played in two out of our four nights. This wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't supposed to be a relaxing holiday

Review 90:The decoration, the hi-tech facilities, friendly staff and the sound-proofed rooms

Review 91:The rooms feel LIKE you are in an aquarium. The outer wall is a big glass window, the inner walls are of glass as well. So if you are sitting in the toilet you can look through to to toilet of you neighbor if you do not rid the curtains. The rooms are small and in my room the a/c did not work - and outside the temperature was 36 degrees!!!

Review 92:The locariam Free coffee and wifi

Review 93:The rooms are really modern yet super comfortable. The food in the restaurant is amazing and really reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful and all spoke English. Location is also great, a short walk to the city centre.

Review 94:The room is a little bit too tiny and the A/C is not working very well

Review 95:the design is great, the location, the cleaning, free coffee & bicycle (amazing)

Review 96:Staff not very friendly, duvet too short for two people, pillows too soft. No fridge in the room and air con didn't work at all during the stay. Staff was very rude when I asked how to work the hdmi on the TV didn't help at all. Picked this hotel as it's the 'only hotel with English channels'.. It had two English channels, bbc world news and an American news channel. Not worth the money paid for it at all.

Review 97:The location is excellent, the beds are very comfortable and the restaurants across the roads are really nice! Short walk to the town square which is lovely!

Review 98:I don't like the lay-out of the reception. It doesn't feel personal, just a bunch of people hanging around the counter… no clear indication who can help you. The music in the corridors where the rooms are. Young, funky and trendy is good, yet totally not suitable for business. At 1 am I still had to ask to volume down the music in the corridors. I like to sleep in an hotel, not sing along the latest hits in my bed. no possibility to change money.

Review 99:The breakfast.

Review 100:Loved this hotel. Very modern in both decor and use of technology - don't think I've ever stayed in a room where absolutely everything in the room was controlled from a touch screen. The glass-walled bathroom is quirky so maybe not to everyone's taste.

Review 101:Hotel was amazing what would have been perfect was a small fridge in the room

Review 102:Loved everything about the hotel would definitely go back again so so clean, food amazing and staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 103:This hotel has technology for the sake of technology that doesn't work. You can't shut down the air condition and can't change the temperatures even though you have a command for it on the panel in your room. The lights go out when you are in the bathroom and you have to constantly wave your hands to keep the lights on. The bathroom walls are made of transparent glass, very embarrassing when somebody enters the room and you are sitting on the loo.. Worse, if you don't close the curtains, you are showing off naked in the shower for the neighbors across the street.

Review 104:The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic

Review 105:Tiny things, but the blanket was really tiny for two people and fit more a single bed than a double one. As a couple, we could barely fit under it. The music in the hallway is by far not your typical elevator music which is fine, but if you have club music coming from speakers at 2AM than it can influence your sleep quality. It could have been turned slightly lower.

Review 106:Great modern high-tech hotel. There's a tablet on the wall that actually lets you control everything in the room, from light to heating etc. Fantastic location, loads of restuarants and cafes nearby. Friendly staff, super easy check-out (again, just use the tablet). Very comfortable bed and pillows. And absolutely super super tidy.

Review 107:Air con was poor in keeping room cool and beds not the most comfortable, but even with these issues overall the room was good with ability to link laptop to TV, cool lighting etc outweighing negatives

Review 108:Relaxed atmosphere, great location, helpful staff, very good value for money

Review 109:At my latest visit at Puro there were no free parking places left. This is of essential importance to me due to simplicity and lack of time at a business travel. I was offered a reduced (50% off) parking price at a garage approx 500 m from the Hotel. My only request was that I can pay it together with my hotel bill, since I did not have cash on hand and for a one day stay I did not want to withdraw any amount from my credit card (9 EUR cost!). I was promised that although it sounded difficult, there will be a solution available. By next morning nothing was done from the receptionist side, they just confirmed there is nothing they could do. I think, this is what differentiates an average hotel from a really good one. A good hotel knows the answer and acts upon. Next time I will book a hotel, that surely has enough parking lots. The above experience is not valid for the staff working at the restaurant part, they are doing a great job.

Review 110:Location, room style, quietness.

Review 111:Had a nasty trip/fall on last day. Tripped over marble plinth that parosol was based on in garden. No broken bones but badly bruised big toe which was also bleeding. Staff brought dressing and cleansing lotion when I asked, but a bit concerned that no "first aid" person available and basic dressing only available.

Review 112:Friendly staff, very helpful . Very clean. Very impressed with security- card for lift, stairs, room. Cleaners excellent too, could have room cleaned daily and appreciated bottled water. Garden beautiful with good choice of seating.

Review 113:the IT solutions are still not perfect, complicated to turn off the light in bathroom, transparent bathroom is nice if you travel with your partner that you really good know. Rooms were quite small. I ve been to better **** hotels but you must try this hotel anyway, one night is enough :)

Review 114:Very good location, modern and quiet room, comfortable bed, very clean rooms, nice view,

Review 115:Easily the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I've been to 19 countries. Softest bed ever, amazing room, helpful staff, amazing breakfast...really, the breakfast was on par with a restaurant, free coffee throughout the day and night, and the location is perfect. I know where I will be staying next time I visit Wroclaw.

Review 116:The bathroom had glass-made walls so you couldn't have any intimacy whilst using the toilet. The breakfast was pretty expensive: almost 11£ and it wasn't that varied.

Review 117:It was a new /refurbished hotel Air conditioner inside the room Everything worked properly

Review 118:There must have been some maintainable wrk going on as there was drilling on and off on the Sunday whih gave me a bit of a fright ( I was in town for surgery and resting), a little heads up would have been nice!

Review 119:The decor was gorgeous and th entire hotel was spotless. I loved the modern feel of the place and the garden was a fantastic place to relax away in peace. The staff were very helpful as I can only say a few sentences in Polish. The hi tech rooms were amazing, 35 degrees outside but I had my room lovely and cool thanks to he temp control and all so easy to use! Will be the only hotel in Wroclaw for me.

Review 120:Cleanliness in rooms requires more attention. TV system out of order and difficult to operate on. Worn out rooms.

Review 121:WIFI, breakfast free for kids. Free of charge hot beverages.

Review 122:Liked everything. Only a suggestion: a gym to use would be perfect.

Review 123:This hotel simply has everything you need. Stylish. Lovely foyer. Comfortable bed. Free tea, coffee and apples. Free strong wifi. Lots of TV channels. Wonderful, friendly staff. Great location, opposite some really good restaurants, a riverside promenade and minutes from the historic centre.

Review 124:The see through bat room just found it a bit weird and would prefer privacy there ...

Review 125:Very up to date hotel spotless clean and didn't realise location was so good till last day .

Review 126:Self-service is ok, but it would be not problem to ask something. I felt that person at check-in was not answering with pleasure to my question. All messages at the screen at my room very in Polish. Really unpolite! In addition, after checkin-out (key card had been left at the rooom), you cannot book special coffees at the breakfast room (should be done by card). However, I could have ask personnel to order coffee of that automat, but I felt it better to disturb personnel. This should be improved, otherwise nice hotel and I liked it. I had wished silent room, but I was given a room with street view. Fortunatly it was now silent because of rainy weather.

Review 127:New hotel. Really relaxing bed, location near nice restarants, cafes and park. Not far from main market place (Rynek). Last time I had garden view, it was beautiful.

Review 128:Not possible to switch off the air condition which is right above the bed, strange breakfast (no cheese, no ham etc), no wall to the toilet (just glas walls)

Review 129:Nice trendy modern furniture

Review 130:Room was too hot even with aircon on lowest. Limited alcohol/wine and no sprite.

Review 131:Modern facilities, nice use of lighting in rooms. Nice quiet room 323 overlooking river at back. Wifi was good. Staff were very helpful. You could bring your own alcohol back to put in fridge downstairs. Walking distance to everything. Ver nice place to stay. We left a day early so they gave us our breakfasts for free.

Review 132:Staff seemed all inexperienced and untrained for the job. Very bad client service, from reception to breakfast. It was also the first time that we had to pay the 2 reserved nights even before seeing the rooms, despite having made the reservation through booking.com and had given the credit card details.

Review 133:Location was perfect, just 500 mts from the Old City square but in a very quiet street.

Review 134:Staff were okay but not very friendly. Restaurant serves very good food but do not be late for breakfast as everything is whisked away one minute past the finishing time. Which you understand as all the staff eat the leftovers.

Review 135:Good location and good food

Review 136:Transparent doors of the rest room, toilets( + shower) should be sound proofed.

Review 137:24*7 Coffee machine Ability to adjust the light of the room as per mood.. Out of this world sandwiches for breakfast

Review 138:When I first arrived in my room I unpacked my case. The phone wasn'tworking properly, so I called staff who were helpful and changed me toanother room. This was fair but I had to repack my case, walk to the other side of the building, and unpack again. I didn't really feel like doing this as it had been a long day of travelling. But I thought to myself, these things happen, so let's just forget it.I got to the second room and unpacked my case again. On the 2nd day, I had surgery in Wroclaw so wasn't at the hotel at all. When I got to my room on the 3rd day, I was tired and bruised from my surgery. I just wanted to lay in bed and charge my laptop. It was then when I realised the USB port wasn't working in this room. I really needed that for charging. After all, it's why I paid a little bit more for the Puro (compared to some other hotels) in order to have these facilitiesSo again, called staff, very helpful, offered to change me to another room. However this time I asked to speak to the manager. She was polite and offered me to change rooms (again) and with some persistence on my part, she offered a free breakfast. So, in pain from surgery, I repacked my case, walked to the other side of the building and into the third room. I then unpacked my case for the third time. The rest of the stay was fine.I'm really not one to complain but after the 3rd unpacking of my case, all the lifting, walking and hassle of switching rooms it was getting a bit tiring. Especially since I just had surgery and was booked in the Puro for complete rest and recuperation.I assumed all the facilities would work but they didn't. I think it must have just been my bad luck because apart from this the hotel and staff were great. I would of thought after all this hassle that the Puro would of discounted me a nights stay for free (£60) instead of the free £9 breakfast and ANOTHER room change.

Review 139:Very clean, modern, stylish, good location, good breakfast and goodstaff. I liked this hotel and would stay again, however there were somenegatives.

Review 140:Staff were really lovely and spoke excellent English. Room was really comfy, bottled water in the bedrooms and 5 free hot drinks a day. 2 minute walk from the square and a few nice restaurants across the road. Hotel food was also lovely
