Review 1：Stayed in one of the cabins in the micro village. The units were well designed and it was very peaceful sitting out on your own terrace. Good location for setting off on a tour of white island.
Review 2：This is the second time we have stayed here and both times have been very consistent. We choose here again because even though it is close to town it is a very quiet motel. There is no issue with road noise and you are only metres from the water. The staff are always friendly and they have a lovely little cafe which has a number of choices for breakfast and very inviting cabinet food that you always end up buying something to take on your travels. Would recomend to anyone travelling though Whakatane.

Review 13：We stayed to do the white island tour and it was cancelled that morning. We were moving onto our next area so couldn't book on the day after. I was gutted so potentially think about giving a two day window incase of cancellation of tours so you have back up.

Review 16：We stayed in one of the huts. They seem to be brand new. The room and the bath were very spacious, it was all clean. We especially enjoyed the terrace to sit outside. Also the staff was extremely friendly and the Location was quiet.

Review 19：We stayed in the new Pods in the mini village. Only a month old and very very nice, self contained and very comfortable, the bed was massive and perfect. BBQ area was newly opened and has everything you need, including oil and seasoning and BBQ Tools.

Review 23：No fan in the bathroom, and the wet-floor shower (not enclosed, except by a curtain) meant steam and condensation were an issue, and the bathroom floor stayed wet for ages. Also, we were in a budget room (downstairs) which meant everyone walking by could see in if we didn't close the drapes.

Review 35：Our room was very spacious and the location was directly opposite Wally's fish and chip shop and Whakatane Sportsfishermans club. It was also only a couple of minutes walk into town. Would stay here again.

Review 38：The trip to White Island was amazing and the staff both on the boat and at the accommodation could not harve been more helpful and friendly. The food in the Cafe attached to the accommodation was excellent and even after the cafe closed the admin staff went into the Cafe to arrange food for us. We were very happy with the experience and wished that we had stayed longer.
Review 39：The hotel was in a beautiful location just a short walk from the beach. The staff were extremely friendly. We stayed at the hotel to go on the White Island your but unfortunately it got canceled due to bad weather- the cafe staff were fantastic in suggesting what we could do in and around the area instead. The breakfasts in the hotel were fantastic, you were always welcomed with a smile when you came in.

The location was perfect for being able to walk to shops and restaurants. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. We would definitely recommend this accommodation to others.

Review 68：Staff is helpful. Place is clean and confortable. Pleas be aware, that excursions to White Island or Whale watching shall happen only if weather conditions allow and some people wait up to a week until that happens. In the meantime it is not much you can do in that place.

Quiet, comfortable and well situated with an attached bakery coffee shop that provides yummies for breakfast, lunch and picnics. Free laundry was a thoughtful bonus. Review 75：Loved staying in the 3 bedroom bungalow. Plenty space for my partner and I + 3 young children. Had everything you would expect or need in a house. Full kitchen facilities + appliances which is obviously handy with a family and I thought the price was very reasonable, being only a little more than a 1 bedroom unit.

Review 88：I have stayed here several times now and had the same great experience. I do a lot of travelling and this is my favourite motel. Clean, comfortable, attractively decorated and well-equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful and there's a great cafe on site which does the most wonderful breakfasts. It's worth travelling to Whakatane just for the mushroom breakfast!
Review 89：I was kept awake by the creaking flooring above me as my upstairs neighbour walked around their room from 10pm to 1am. Heard next door neighbours talking through wall even though they were not talking at all loudly. Very disturbed night. Had to turn the fridge off because it was too loud. Also the bedding wasn't warm enough for the season.
