Reviews for Casa Vallejo

Review 1:A little bit overpriced for its price (around 90$ per night). The staff is not so hospitable as it could be, but OK

Review 2:Really beautiful historical building, nice location (close to the center of Baguio, but not in the very center with its hustle&bustle), really charming restaurant and spa near the hotel, incredible view if you are lucky (ask for rooms with a valley view)

Review 3:Place is old, no breakfast included with the price for the rent. Wifi is weak, you would hear the sounds of other rooms and even their footsteps. You would also hear the sounds from nearby bathrooms. Over all, it's poor.

Review 4:none

Review 5:There was actually none, but, i think it might just be the Cost; it was expected due to the season. But the hotel location compensates it anyways.

Review 6:I decided to drop earlier than the booked time of arrival, just to check that the reservation was okay. The staff of the hotel was so accommodating that she even allowed us to check in earlier, for the room was available by then. Also, our reservation was for 4 individuals, but my brother in law decided to go with us. And the staff without any hesitation allowed us to grab an additional bedding…

Review 7:Room and amenities. It's old and outdated and not so clean for the value of what I paid for

Review 8:The convenience of the location. Helpfulness of staff. Early Check-in assistance.

Review 9:We booked a family room but it was essentially a standard room but with 2 beds crammed into it. Room was different from the photo shown on website

Review 10:Location is central. Best thing about the stay was the good food in Hill Station.

Review 11:The price is high compare to other budget hotel. Other budget hotel includes breakfast when booked from booking.com but at casa vallejo, no meals included.

Review 12:We were initially inconvenienced during the first night because while we informed ahead that we were a family of five with young adults (got an extra bed) we were not told to expect a smaller room but this was resolved soon enough. :)

Review 13:The place was historical, not modern but well maintained. Smell is pleasantly old but gives you an ambiance of the real Baguio in earlier times. The staff accommodated our request to move to a bigger family room when it was vacated because we were five. (with extra bed)

Review 14:So convenient and very accessible to burnham park. My daughter enjoyed our complimentary bfast and most especially their french toast and dark chocolate icecream.

Review 15:No breakfast meal was included in the room rate unlike before when we went there for the first time. The family room is not that spacious if there will be four people staying.

Review 16:The hotel is across SM Baguio. It is accessible. We were allowed to check in early. The staff are courteous and accommodating.

Review 17:Love the Casa Vallejo - friendly, professional staff. Great dining, great view of the valley, optimal location. I'll stay there again when I go back to Baguio.

Review 18:No local telephone inside the room. I need to go out and go to the reception to ask for cold or hot water. There should be a water heater available.

Review 19:The staff are very accomodating and approachable

Review 20:They have poor service, staff are unhelpful, they don't clean up rooms and the rooms are dark. They don't offer room service for food. On top of all other things...

Review 21:I like that the location is right smack at the center of the city. Mall and restaurants are walking distance away. I also liked the fact that the hotel was preserved, I loved the wood cabin feel.

Review 22:upon reservation i requested for 1pm or earlier check in but when we arrived the room was not yet ready, also i specified in my request that i need 2 beds since i'm travelling with 3 kids i even stated their ages. i thought my requests were approved, just imagine how 5 persons sleeps in one bed really uncomfortable. also the ceiling fan not working well.

Review 23:the location is perfect.

Review 24:No power of electricity at tje time we arrived.they should have a back up generator, wasnt able to charge our phones and power banks.every morning should've clean sheets..

Review 25:We love the location, its jst steps away from sm.bathroom is clean, bed is comfortable.

Review 26:Staff had no enthusiasm.Staffs don't greet. You should hire staff with knowledge in hospitality industry. Noise from the street.Too expensive for this standard.

Review 27:The location is just perfect. It's walking distance to Session Road, the Baguio Cathedral, Burnham Park, and the market. Nice old-fashion feel.

Review 28:The location is just perfect. It's walking distance to Session Road, the Baguio Cathedral, Burnham Park, and the market. There are also plenty of restaurant choices nearby. The famous Hillstation is also right in the property.

Review 29:The hotel could place airconditioning system especially during summertime. We have to accept the fact that the province is getting hotter unlike before and the fan is no longer enough especially during day time. The hill station could have added more food on their menu. It will open for more customers to visit the restaurant because of the wide array of choices. They need to give into consideration that people have different choices on food especially on first class restaurants.

Review 30:Privacy is excellent and the customer service of the reception and crews of the hotel and the restaurant is excellent as well

Review 31:The room is outdated and very old, very dim lighting, ceiling fan does not work and it can get very hot in the afternoon. The windows are very small also. The towels look so old and dirty. It can get very noisy with vehicles passing by. Overall, it's way too overpriced.

Review 32:The only good thing is the location.

Review 33:The additional mattres has payment which doesnott include yet the breakfast . With the price of 550 it should have included the breakfast.anyway it is not buffet.

Review 34:Breakfast was very creative, specially the rice .location is ok near church, SM and walkable to nearby shops

Review 35:I didn't like that the window had no screen to prevent the insects from flying into the bedroom. My children received extensive bed bug and mosquito bites :(

Review 36:Great location and nice onsite restaurant.

Review 37:There is no aircon so the room reallly feels hot even they already provided an electric fan. The towels are already dirty white must have been used for years.

Review 38:The staff is not approachable, they always want the guest to adjust, to their attitudes, for example greeting the guest, the way they greet the guest, mukhang hindi msaya, and kapag nag- ask kami ng direction walang matinong sagot, and when we want a flat iron hindi nila alam kung nasan OMG!!!

Review 39:The place, convenient in sm,burnham park and also in other tourist spots in baguio

Review 40:the location is very good. facilities is okay but not that fabulous which is understandable since it's an old hotel. food at the nearby restaurant 'hill station' was excellent and the spa was the best! overall the experience was pleasant and definitely recommended.

Review 41:Upon check in, the staffs weren't friendly and accommodating. No greeting and smile from the Reception and other staffs. The staff who was supposed to guide us to the room was almost running and we had to almost run as well until we lost him. Then we saw him coming out from one room and didn't say anything to us. There was one lady staff standing outside that same room (which happened to be our room) while chatting with another lady staff. I asked where is our room and she just simply told us "here", without saying anything and left us. This gave us the feeling of not being comfortable. They were talking about the guests which is so unethical (because I heard and understand them). My husband and I was taking picture at the Reception one night. No one even bothered to ask if we want assistance. I didn't ask them because we were not comfortable anymore. Then there was one group of young men who were taking picture after us. They asked assistance from one of the staffs but seemed to be reluctant so we offered to take them picture instead. To our surprised the following day, one of the staffs was talking attentively to a foreigner guest (about looking for another Hotel ). And at lunch time, the staff at the Reception greeted the white guest. So I concluded that they are not happy to serve Filipino but only to foreigners. The linens are too old. One day, we didn't have towels as they ran out. We had to buy at SM. But good thing somehow with the staffs, when I requested for something, they would act on it immediately (but forgot what I requested). Couldn't sleep much because we could hear the footsteps and the staffs talking in a very loud voice.

Review 42:What I did like the most is location and next is the uniqueness of the Hotel.

Review 43:None

Review 44:*friendly & accommodating staff *location-proximity to cathedral, Session Road *amenities- necessary basics *rooms/bathroom/beddings clean & comfortable

Review 45:Noisy! Unfortunately the hotel sits on a main road which results in pedestrian and vehicle traffic all night. Also being old, you hear people running up and down the hallway. The free breakfast is excellent in taste just a little short on serving size... My wife and I both chose the American breakfast which was two eggs, home fries, toast, choice of meat (sausage, ham or bacon) and a drink. Eggs were good, toast great but each of us had just 3 little potatoes for our home fries and one sausage link ... yes it was free but 3 tiny pieces of potato???

Review 46:The value for a simple room with shower. Easy walking distance to SM Mall and lots of shops and eateries. Not too bad for going out to Camp John Hay. Very courteous staff. Internet was good too.

Review 47:I can't think of any as of now.

Review 48:Excellent Accommodation Friendly Staff Cool Spa Service Nice Breakfast Clean Will definitely be staying at this hotel again. We actually booked our next return. :)

Review 49:old bedsheets, blankets, pillows, towels...poor wifi signal

Review 50:the location- near the mall, near Session Rd, accessible to public transportation, near Victory liner..a charming hotel..

Review 51:no aircondition

Review 52:the place is super cool and has a very nice restaurant with superb food. plus will give you an "unforgettable experience" at night

Review 53:an additional lightings inside the room could make it a little more brighter and additional mirror too

Review 54:its location, one can easily go from one place to another and get back to your suite

Review 55:-I tried emailing them to inquire about the breakfast since it is stated on the voucher that room rate includes breakfast for two but the booking conditions doesn't. ALAS, no reply received from their end. -Friendliness of some front desk personnel were so-so. Some are friendly, some seem moody. -Rooms are very basic. Smelly cabinets. Heater inconsistent and they badly need major cleaning of rooms and tiles. -One thing their housekeeping staff should KNOW IS- NEVER THROW AWAY guests' ziplocks. They threw mine. They should be aware that ziplocks are gold to travelers since we always place our liquids in it. -Food in their restaurant are so expensive. Better eat out instead. -Another guard shouted at us because my companions were smoking out the window. Again, very wrong.

Review 56:-parking and proximity to SM City Baguio. -They have the STEEPEST road I have driven on and I was really hesitant to go down that steep road. And the parking attendant/guard was soooo irritated that he somewhat shouted at me stating that a lot of cars have passed by that steep road. They should retrain their guards to be polite to the PAYING GUESTS. -We got a family room with two double beds. It was okay. The place isn't scary at all as what most people think.

Review 57:shower a bit old. A bit expensive for what you get, and the restaurant as well.

Review 58:Character and location were great. Restaurant - good service and menu. Fantastic coffee.

Review 59:Location couldn't be better. A brisk walk from SM Baguio, hotel is conveniently located within minutes to restaurants and shopping. The food is also great and at a fair price

Review 60:Lighting in the room is soo dim. Perhaps carry your own light bulb to lighten up the bathroom at least

Review 61:Just a stone throw away from Baguio SM. Elegant restaurant located just downstairs

Review 62:old building, room phone purposely disconnected because wifi goes down constantly, tv has a few channel and most of the time does not work. Broken mirror in the CR.

Review 63:Nothing

Review 64:The fact that there's no AC installed that can be used, since the fan is not enough to make the room temperature cool and comfortable.

Review 65:The ambiance was great, very homey.

Review 66:Rooms located right beside a busy road and very noisy at times.

Review 67:The location is good & assessible to lots of places especially the bustling Session Road.

Review 68:1. The room assigned to us doesn't have telephone, this one is essential so if we have queries we can easily contact the hotel lobby. 2. The room assigned to us doesn't have bidet

Review 69:I like most the comfy, homy and american country style ambience of the hotel

Review 70:There's a problem on a shower, defective and water pressure is low. No intercom. Limited power outlets for cellphone charging.
