Reviews for Hotel AreaOne Obihiro
Review 1:Staff are very friendly and helpful. Extra's available (pillows, humidifiers) Easy walk to the station and plenty of parking is available if you drive a car. Great selection in the breakfast option too. Thanks!!
Review 2:friendly staff, spacious room, the bathroom alone felt like 3 separate rooms in one, breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired so it's not the closest hotel to the station but just a short walk away
Review 3:basement restaurant doesn't have wifi. Varieties and quality of food have room for improvement.
Review 4:It was a surprised that i have my private sauna in the room. Friendly and helpful staffs
Review 5:Two levels carpark with limited slot and tight maneuver space, access to lobby through a flight of stairs from carpark, can be a problem with large luggage.
Review 6:Clean and large room with huge bath room. WIFI access in all areas including bed rooms.
Review 7:Breakfast was limited. Staff we meet was deadpan.
Review 8:Room was unique among all the hotels we've been to. Excellent layout and facilities in the room.
Review 9:This is an extraordinary hotel. Rooms are huge by any standards, and very comfortable; we were upgraded to a room with four beds, a settee for eight people, a sauna and an enormous bathroom! The staff were wonderful. We had booked for two nights but mistakenly stayed in a different hotel on the first night. We were able to recover our booking and stay for night two; and the staff arranged for the usual cancellation fee to be waived. Wonderful service.
Review 10:For Japan it was a very large room. The bath was huge. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast were beautifully presented and suited all tastes although more so Japanese. A washing machine and drier centrally located. Tea and coffee available in the room and lobby. A lovely area to sit in the lobby area.
Review 11:Still need a car to get around, especially in winter. Kids need to buy a separate meal coupon for the buffet, but it's cheap.
Review 12:Conveniently located in Obihiro and staff was friendly. Free coffee in the lobby was a bonus!
Review 13:Nothing
Review 14:The room was huge and the largest I have stayed so far in Hokkaido. There was even a sauna in my room. The room could have easily fitted 8 beds. Breakfast was superb too. Quality of food was excellent. Not overly plentiful but adequate. The staff was super courteous and helpful.
Review 15:Absolutely nothing!
Review 16:Everything! It is an old hotel given a new lease on life. The decor was modern, cheerful and tasteful, and the staff were very helpful. The breakfasts were very good even though we had to pay for it (it was not included in our booking). The location may be a little far from the train station for some but because we had a car, we had no trouble getting places - downtown was just minutes away by car. But the two best things about this hotel is the air conditioning and the free upgrade we got to a suite - complete with a private sauna and sofa set. Car parks were a little limited but this is one hotel I would happily stay at again.

Review 51:Very spacious room, with sauna inside the room. Staff extremely nice.
Review 52:The hotel looks like it was formerly an apartment building, and common areas and rooms were well renovated, but bathrooms were clearly quite old, though reasonably well-kept.
Review 53:Very spacious triple bedroom. Amazing breakfast buffet. Laundry facilities within the building.
Review 54:Not close to JR station, a 7-10 mins walk to there. It is more suitable to drive there. I arrived at 1 30 pm and asked if I can check in early (normal check in at 3 pm). Staff explained that the room can be available at 2 pm but I have to paid 1000 yen. This is not the practice commonly found in other countries than Japan.
Review 55:Value for money. Big room is large and well equipped, clean and comfortable. Hotel staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet was unexpectedly good, and has the level of fine dining. Will stay there again.
Review 56:Very sumptuous and quality buffet breakfast. Clean, modern, and spacious room. Free parking in the hotel. Definitely my choice of hotel again if i revisit Obihiro!
Review 57:It was all a bit strange. The ensuite bathroom looked like it was an old apartment. The girl at reception didn't know which page of the passport to photocopy and whether there was breakfast or not. We had a car so didn't bother but it's not the closest hotel to the JR station.
Review 58:Lots of space in the room, actually a sort of suite. Quite cheap, very comfortable bed.
Review 59:super clean, modern and new. i'm not sure how we booked it for as cheap as we did but it was by far the swankiest place we stayed during our trip to japan
Review 60:balcony full of bird droppings.
Review 61:Very big hotel room with big bathroom.
