Review 1：Very clean and comfortable. The bedroom is in a separate room at the back of the unit, so even though we had a room on the main road, it was nice and quiet for sleeping.
Review 2：Very comfortable bed and everything we needed was provided. Clean. Bedroom was a bit cramped but as it was clean and comfortable this didn't matter.
Review 3：Although not a problem for us, there is a short flight of stairs to the rooms which may pose a challenge to those who are less mobile.
Review 4：The room is very clean and comfortable. The kids were captivated by the shower head with lights. The motel is quite close to town centre (about 10 minutes walk) and near to the Durie Hill Tunnel.
Review 5：Loved the rooms! Spacious enough for two of us, nice kitchenette and bathroom and lounge area. Good storage space. Showers were very nice. The whole property are maintained very well and has a nice welcoming feel.

Review 9：Perfect location and easy to find. The room had clearly been refurbished and was comfortable and clean. It was lovely to have a little milk provided so I could have a cup of tea when I arrived. Nice to watch the sunset from the balcony.
Review 10：Virtually no wi-fi reception in the top cabin - a known problem. (If you know about something why dont you fix it?) Bar stools very uncomfortable way of eating meals - no table. Stools not comfy either. No heating in bathroom. A bit 'style over substance' in this cabin.

Review 14：Loved that it was small but had everything. The kitchenette was small and did not have stove but with an electric hot plate, we could cook up the dinner we intended to have there. Each bed had a warmer which was important for us in this cold weather.

Review 31：A nice motel overlooking the river, opposite the town centre. Easy to get to from the highway, good access to the Wanganui town centre. Sky TV and a trampoline made for an enjoyable stay for the whole family. There was also a private spa pool, which we didn't get time to use but is an attractive facility.

Review 35：The owner told us that town center was only 500m away... the longest half kilometer I've ever walked! More like 2 km - if you have kids, definitely take the car.

Review 37：No bad experience just the jug wouldn't go on arrival, contacted the proprietor he came to replace the jug turned it on and blew out the lights in the unit, rung again replaced jug again with new and everything was all okay.

Review 41：Bathroom door catch didn't lock properly so had to push bath mat under the door to stop it sliding open. Owners weren't there when we arrived so I used the phone on the door to ring. Nice cheery greeting, room 3 is ready for you, key inside help yourself. Settled in only to be told an hour later we were in the wrong room and we had to move. Bit of dicking around and didn't have to move in the end but not until after we had started to pack up. Tried 3 times to check out next morning. No one in the office. In the end left a nice note thanking them for a nice stay and contact details (charged to cc). Packing car, owners arrive. Hadn't read the note. From the upstairs balcony ...ah you haven't paid? Well excuse me and good morning to you too. Bit embarrassing as weren't the only ones in the carpark. My aunty had paid her room when she checked in!! So I trooped back up the stairs to sort. Left. Unfortunate as the room and the venue were nice and good value for money.

Review 52：My son was in hospital following an accident and I traveled from Auckland to be with him after an operation. Te Awa team did all they could to accomodate me as timing was unpredictable for my stay.
Review 53：Great value for money with very clean facilities - one of the cleanest places we've stayed in. The unit was very spacious for two and had a separate bedroom. Although the motel was full when we stayed we weren't aware of noise from the other guests. Handy to the town centre and river walks. We didn't need to use the free WiFi although it was available.
Review 54：I was very pleased with this motel. The owner was very friendly and helpful, from the welcome when I arrived, until the farewell when I left. I was travelling alone, but felt quite safe and secure here. Although the motel is situated on a main road, I found it quiet and restful, and I slept very well every night. There didn't seem to be any noise from other residents either, although most of the rooms were occupied every night I was there. The facilities were excellent too, tea/coffee making,free guest laundry with washing powder supplied, and iron and ironing board available. The shower was one of the best I have ever had. The rates are very reasonable. All in all I would recommend this motel to anyone, and will most certainly return when I am next in Wanganui.
Review 55：Big, with an actual bedroom and another bed out in the main area. Nice terrace, although the view is really just of the road, and satellite TV was a nice touch. Wifi was free but theoretically limited to 100mb. Wasn’t a login, though, so we couldn’t tell how much we used and aren’t sure how they monitor it. Worked fine for us. Good kitchenette, big bathroom, awesome shower.
Review 56：we like the size of the space and size of the room, the outside table and chairs were great to watch the sun go down, BBQ was ready to use, the kitchen and bathroom moden and very clean. We had space to park the trailer. staying at Te Awa Motel worked really well for us. We will be back.
Review 57：Friendly co-operative staff - i was held up at work and was not able to get to Wanganui until 10.30, rang and they cheerfully made arrangements for me to get into my unit after office hours. I put excellent for location as I was participating in a course within walking distance, so for me it was excellent - for others just a short walk to the banks of the river and relatively close to the "old" bridge into the city centre.

Review 59：Cabin sits on its own on an elevated site behind the motel. We loved sitting outside looking out towards the river. This was a last minute booking and we were amazed at what we got for our money for four adults. Great stop.

Review 68：It was small but very clean and refurbished simply but tastefully. Right across the river from the town centre so only five minute drive or less to get there. Staff were very accomodating with our late arrival.

Review 75：Though hardly a luxury hotel, as a basic, clean, comfortable and value-for-money motel, I am happy to recommend the Te Awa Motel in Whanganui. It is a 10 minute walk from the heart of town, the bed was good and the staff were friendly. It even has Sky tv!

Review 77：Everything was great. We stayed in the 'log cabin' and the facilities, quantity of Skye Channels, beds, kitchenette, shower etc were all A1++. The Moteliers were pleasant helpful and friendly. We are certainly going to stay there again next year.
