Review 1：Wife didn't like the bed.All a bit dated for her!

Review 2：Large room dated but very clean.2nd time I have stayed right accross from the river! chanels the 70s but everything works.

Review 3：Great place. Easy to find, lovely outlook. Large two bedroom unit that was super spacious. Great shower and hot water. We arrived very late after a long 7 hour drive and the owners were very helpful with our late arrival, and again with our very early departure. They allow pets and our little Chihuahua was welcome, we had planned to bring him also however he stayed at home this particular trip. Would stay again.

Review 4：The front of house was rude. A faulty fridge froze everything I had in there - no apology from the chap at desk upon checkout either. Poor shower. Cold room, useless heater.

Review 9：electric blanket didn't work on one side, drawer in kitchen extremely hard to open, room service poor - did not include making bed, hand basin old and cracked, no Sky TV, couldn't get wifi to work. Unimpressed would not recommend or stay there again

Review 11：I guess there's not much the owners can do about fighting cats waking us up in the middle of the night but still we would have preferred not to be woken during the night. Also, one cat that seemed to live on the premises walked straight into our unit every time the door was opened.

Review 12：Given the price we were worried about cleanliness but it was lovely and clean. Plenty of things you might need (iron, hair dryer, toaster etc) and the owners are friendly.

Review 13：Upgrade of room is not an option if unsatisfactory. Unlike most where you can choose if there are other rooms available as long as you pay. Staff not helpful at all.

Review 23：Stayed for one night, just passing through Whanganui. Bed was comfortable, slept very well, and the Kitchenette had everything we needed. Not a new place, and a little bit tired in parts, but inexpensive.

Review 24：The host Graham seems overs sensitive and is quite moody. His wife Helenwas fine and pleasant at all times. Have stayed there before and thoughtthen that Graham seemed moody but gave the benefit of the doubt. Thistime however, we were left with no doubt. He is very sweet one minuteand can be quite unpleasant the next. Unit 3 has an offensive lingeringsmell, but we could not seem to work out what the it was. Looking atprevious reviews, it has been described as musty but we were not sure.After awhile inside, it is not noticeable. Only when you have been outawhile and come back in. Host denied he could smell anything. Units arenot serviced properly. Only the bins are emptied, towels replaced andthe windows are opened. It states in the booklet that all units arefully serviced but this is not the case. The beds are not made, thesoaps are not replaced and certainly, nothing is vacuumed. Perhaps thisis a thing of the past but I have never stayed in a motel where this isnot done. Will not stay again due to the moody host.

Review 26：The entrance to the unit was a sliding door and this was hard to lock. The outside light to the unit didn't work either so was dark when we got back from dinner to see the lock to the door. The milk didn't make many coffees either

Review 32：The cycle/walk way across the road was great along the river and up to where the paddle Steamer docks, the shops are very nice and i really enjoy the Brick House restaurant the food is so yummy i go there every time i visit Wanganui

Review 34：The location was great, being handy to town, parks etc. The unit was roomy, but another armchair or two would have been an improvement. King sized beds very comfortable.

Review 35：The staff seemed to be almost monosyllabic. The rooms smelt musty and I certainly would not have hung clothes in the damp, musty smelling wardrobe. The decor could do with some sprucing up - very 80s in style.
