Motel Arista of Rotorua sells fast on our site. Each featuring a private hot tub and a private patio, Arista of Rotorua studios are 20 minutes’ walk from the famous Polynesian Spa. The property features a BBQ area and a pirate ship children’s playground set in lovely gardens. Guests enjoy 3GB of free WIFI per day.
Arista of Rotorua is 5 minutes’ drive from central Rotorua, and 10 minutes’ drive from Rotorua Airport. Paradise Valley Springs are a 15-minute drive away.

Review 1：Friendly and helpful staff. We dealt with the receptionist, maintenance man and manager and everyone above the expected service while we were there. Perfect location and very affordable. Studio was a little hot upstairs but we were provided with fans. Very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed having the spa.
Review 2：The only problem I had, was that I booked through booking.com & they gave me a "locked-in" price of $139/night but on arrival, about 3 months later, I found that the price was actually $152/night!
Review 3：I found the spa in the apartment very enjoyable. I liked the loft- style rooms as they gave one a feeling of "space". The owners were lovely & very helpful with directions to attractions & sight-seeing spots. The Arista is also well positioned for travellers, as it is only a 3 minute drive to an excellent Countdown supermarket & a petrol station.

Review 5：Great self contained unit, perfect for families we had plenty of beds and space for our family of 5. Mike went above and beyond to help us organise our plans for our stay. We also arrived to some Christmas goodies for the kids as we were there over Christmas Day.

Review 8：We are a very big family holidaying in NZ, As our group have very young children (<10 yrs old) and few senior members (>80 yrs old) . ,planning and searching for suitable hotels and activities were never trivial. When we moved from South Island to the North, we stayed in many hotels. We universally agreed that Arista is the best we had in NZ and far exceeded our expectation. Beside great facilities including spa pool for every room and usual cleanliness and good location, the staffs and owner Mike went out of their way to help us booked last minute activities, arranged trout fishing ( our kids had a ball of time catching many rainbow trouts) and even setup a bbq for us. We were very grateful and thankful we had chosen Arista. Mike, your hotel is really outstanding.

Review 10：There is only one toilet / bathroom for a family of 5 and it was challenging.
Review 11：One of the best motels in South Island. Check-in was a breeze and location was excellent and easy to find. Secure. The unit was well appointed and clean. Quality of utensils in the kitchenette was good. There is no air-con but the temperature was a cool 20C. I'm not sure how it would work out during Summer. The kids had a great time using the family spa bath. There is a playground for the kids but they were more engrossed with the spa bath. Staff, Fay, was most helpful. She even offered to help with our laundry so that we could enjoy our holidays during the day!
Review 12：Apartment was very well furnished with nice thick carpet and everything new. Toilet was very clean. Kitchenette was very well equipped. Spa at the back of the house provides a good relaxation at the end of the day. Convenient parking right in front of the apartment Most of all, the owners Mike and Annemarie were very friendly and helpful. Mike came over one night to fix a short circuit and Annemarie delivered some panadol to our doorstep late at night as I was suddenly feeling unwell. They also arranged for our laundry to be delivered to our room as we were rushing off and the load was still in the dryer. Their manager Faye was also very helpful and provides good advice on where to go in Rotorua (including 10% discount vouchers for some places) Highly higjhly recommended.
Review 13：It was great being able to hire movies for free. Friendly staff, especially the owner! We arrived a bit late, after check up but that wasn't a problem at all as the owners live on site and were able to let us into our room without any hassle- he even gave us a map of Rotorua and all the top spots to visit despite being late to take his kids to the xmas carols! Close to the city. Very comfy room, loved how they had the bed upstairs in a little attic type set up! All in all a 10/10 stay!!

Review 23：Mike and Annmarie have a great location. They were there personally to greet us and let us know where to find services we wanted. And they have turned a tragic older motel into a chic, modern aparthotel with unlimited hot springs water for the hot tub!
Review 24：The staff were lovely!! The rooms were HUGE too, my friends and I got a free upgrade as they were redecorating some of the other rooms. The beds were super comfy and we had our own spa too. We never used any of the kitchen appliances as we were only there for one night, but the owner recommended a lovely restaurant that we went to. They were also helpful when it came to giving us directions to all the attractions we were visiting. The owners of Arista have a beautiful story, its inspiring that they share it with everyone. I will definitely stay here again :)

Review 26：We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Arista of Rotorua. The staff were friendly and happy to offer recommendations for restaurants and activities (along with discount coupons). A great selection of DVDs was available at the front desk.
Review 27：With high ceilings and a mezzanine floor bed you need to give better options for controlling the heat. The old fashioned panel heaters combined with limited ventilation mean you're either very very hot or too cold.

Review 29：The bed is upstair on a mezzanine, and is quite hot if sun is shining around. No A/C unit. Steet noise are really heavy from 7:30 am till 7:30pm, occasional trucks at night. Ask for a remote room if you're concerned about this (some units are better suited than others).
Review 30：Marvelous accomodation, very clean despite the sulphuric environment. Kitchen very well furbished (micro-wave + oven...), bathroom with gigantic italian shower, and private spa as advertised.

We hadn't received confirmation for our activity, so the owner called them for us to double check; good thing he did because our request had not yet been processed!!! We received loads of planning help and a fantastic room. Thanks for a great experience!
Review 32：It is a motor lodge. The room was split level with the bedroom in the loft open to the living room downstairs. Only bathroom was downstairs. Fees for internet use over certain usage. On a main street.

Review 36：There is Cigarette smelling in all the bed lines. Doesn't have private bedroom. There are all open room therefore it is too noisy for baby to sleep. There is not toilet in up-stair.

Review 46：We came to Rotorua to ride Te Ara Ahi cycle trail. This property was very accommodating for our needs - it was very warm and comfortable. The heaters allowed us to dry our wet clothing and shoes - it was a wet and cold September day outside. What a pleasure was to dive into the hot spa after a long ride and have home cooked dinner! The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a facility to wash your bikes too.

Great heating downstairs and electric underblanket on each bed fitted. TV up stairs where the kids slept which was great for downtime, they could watch a movie and a second one downstairs for adults. could get movies for free from reception. BONUS private hot tub. So lovely after a days sightseeing to relax in this. Fresh towels everyday and little extras like bubblebath for hot tub, soaps, heaps of facewashers and even towels for the hot tub. Also a guest laundry available. It was centrally located, handy to all the sights. we really LOVED our stay here.
Review 55：I didn't like there was no carpark outside office so everytime we came back someone was parked in our space. also we left early so the people could clean our room and we came back at 1pm to have lunch and they were still cleaning our room.

Review 67：Myself and my partner stayed for 4 nights in room 10, We didn't want to leave :( The staff are very lovely and make you feel welcomed! Our room had a real cosy feeling about the apartment as soon as you walk in there is no smell of the sulphur. The room was already nice and heated when we had got in as it was 2 degrees outside. Really good facilities from extra blankets to plates and utensils to eat with, heaters/fans. The bed is super comfy and I just wanted to stay in bed all day(but couldn't) We only used the spa once during the day it was awesome. Overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend for anyone!! I will be back :D

They have a Filipina lady on their team who would have to be a real asset when it comes to helping with event organization. We had a great stay at Arista, and were only sorry that our time in Rotorua was so short. Apartment was very cosy and clean, decorated with modern furniture. there was daily housekeeping and fresh towels. Kitchen was well equipped and the spa in the courtyard was just amazing. The motel is at a good location, nice and quiet and easy to find. Just 5 minutes drive to town and 15 min drive to skyline rotorua, rainbow springs.

When our young grandson visited with his parents he just loved the novel playground (that's one of the reasons I booked Arista :) ). The bed was so comfortable. We will definitely be back soon.

Review 120：This is the best place we stayed during our entire NZ trip. Regret we kept only 2 days in this property. The property, location, facilities, hospitalities everything was excellent. Mike and his wife were excellent host. We wanted to watch India Australia semi finals but the channel was not playing in our room. On knowing this they have gone extra mile and got a TV fixed at their big garage in their residence next door. Mike remained awake with both of us and watched the match. We enjoyed Mike's company and in no time Mike has become a very good friend. I strongly recommend this property to anyone travelling to Rotorua.
