Due to rain in Phuket, I got a little fever and they gave me medicine and also staff used to guide us for our visit in Phuket everyday. Taste of food is outstanding, highly recommended for everyone to give it a try. External services like rent a bike & pick n drop service to airport are tremendous & everyone is so friendly. Review 12：The owner is and his wife are super friendly and help with every question you might have. Our flight was in the evening and we still could use the pool, towels, and shower the whole day. Food is excellent and freshly prepared.

The menu rotates depending on what's available fresh. We had several of the best meals of our life here, including a couple of entrees that Winnie created especially for us, and she was happy to share the secrets of each dish.

The food is excellent. Very clean and advice provided on places of interest to visit as well as supporting with any additional needs such as phone adaptor and travel plans.

Review 22：My boyfriend and I stayed for a long hotel in Pen Villa Hotel. Our favourite things were: Both the hotel and the room were very tastefully decorated. The room, the dinning area and the pool were very spacious. Beautiful gardens. The bed was really comfortable and the place was very peaceful - perfect if you need a good long night sleep! The whole place is extremely clean. Walking distance from beautiful beaches, shops and restaurants. There was not a single mosquito in the room. Doors and windows' protective nets were very effective indeed. The staff was very lovely and helpful at all times. Special thanks to Peter for looking after us so well!! We'll be back!!

Review 35：Just returned after a wonderful week at Pen Villa. The pool is large enough (19 m long) and never crowded. Sunbeds and umbrellas surround it, together with trees, bushes, flowers, birds and butterflies. The hotel itself is well situated, facing the sun and pool, only 200 m from the main road but still a very quite place. The reception, restaurant and bar are in an open space on the same floor, which gives easy access to everything. The food and drinks are excellent. Don't be afraid to express personal tastes - Winnie, Pete and the rest of the staff will meet Your wishes. We had a standard double room, on the same floor as the main facilities, which we found very convenient. We also had our own small outdoor space with two chairs and a table, where we watched the sunsets.The standard room was perfect for our needs; refrigerator, AC, hairdryer, comfortable beds, enough space and very clean. It also has a TV, which we never used. We highly recommend Pen Villa, and we would love to come back. Thank You, Winnie and Pete!
Review 36：Old and visually unappealing wooden furniture in the room. Bathroom facilities are rudimentary, the tiles are uneven and, in white fluorescent light, the bathroom has an institutional, hospital-like look. I heard that some bathrooms had been remodeled, ours (room E2) apparently had not been one of them. Unfortunately, I have to mention that there is an air of stinginess about the way the hotel is being managed. The breakfast is not included in the room price. In addition to being quite expensive by Thai standards (200+ baht), they serve you a toast sliced in half (!!) with the omelette and no jam. When we asked for jam, we received a really tiny bowl of it, not more than 5 g -however, it later found its way into the room bill at 10 baht apiece. For the record, a large jar of that same jam in the nearest supermarket is 50 baht, so they resell it with a 1000% markup. Also, they do provide beach towels but again, instead of buying relatively cheap towels from a supermarket, they reuse the ones that had been left behind by previous guests. Towels are a mismatched lot, washed many times over but still full of stains. This is also very unpleasant and needs to be improved. Finally, the location is not that great if you plan on going to the beach rather than staying by the swimming pool. There is no shortcut to the Surin beach and you've got to walk a long stretch along the busy and dusty main road.
Review 37：Peter and his wife are doing a great job keeping the premises clean and trimmed. The hotel is an oasis of peace and tranquility, it is set sufficiently far from the main road. Great views from all the rooms on the (large) swimming pool and the surrounding hills.

Review 43：This is a very special hotel. Winnie and Peter are the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. Winnie is an excellent cook and Peter makes incredible cocktails. The hotel itself is immaculately kept. Our room was large and very comfortable, with efficient A/C. The swimming pool is just wonderful - very large and surrounded by attractive gardens and ample sunbeds. Every evening we sampled a different cocktail before dinner and then a different malt whisky from Peter´s collection after our meal. We also ate here a number of times, which is unusual for us as we normally prefer to try local restaurants, but Winnie´s food was just too good not to keep trying it. On our last night she made us an incredible red snapper which had been stuffed with lemon grass, coated in salt and then baked - very succulent and delicious. My husband, who is also a great cook, joined Winnie in the kitchen for a cooking lesson, which he greatly enjoyed and learned much from. Pen Villa is well located. Within 5 minutes from Surin beach and also a short walk from Bang Tao beach. Also close to local restaurants.
Review 44：Price: very affordable and comfortable rooms. Restaurant was even very affordable and delicious! Location: about a 10 min walk from Surin beach, there are nice shops and restaurants on the way. Rent a moped for a 15-30 min cruise to Kamala or Patong beach's. Customer service: was outstanding! Since its ran by a family it makes your stay feel like your home away from home.
Review 45：Winnie and Peter are great hosts, always available with tips and help. Staying in Pen Villa almost felt like staying at friends. Do yourself a favor and enjoy Winnie's Thai cuisine, you won't get that anywhere else!
Review 46：bed was pretty firm, but typical in SEA. there was a light outside our room to illuminate the mural painting, but not able to turn off. When I asked management to turn it off, they suggested I wear a night mask.

Review 48：This was not an inexpensive hotel. The facilities were basic. On the first night, I was 'so called' upgraded to a better room which had a strong smell of mold. As it was late and there were no other rooms available I was stuck with that and did not sleep well. There was a kettle but no tea/coffee making facilities, so no point. I was then moved to a room between two chain smokers who smoked at all times of the day and night so I could not leave my window open for a bit of fresh air after a long hot day. As I was out and very busy most of the day I did not complain, but this is an obvious no-no if someone fit and healthy has requested a non-smoking room. People do not want to be cooped up with aircon on all the time. Breakfast was not included, which is very unusual for Asia. I paid for it on the first morning but did not persevere as it was not of a high standard, we ate elsewhere.

Review 55：Pen Villa is a wonderful place just a short walk away from Surin beach. It is perfectly run by Aussie Peter, his wife Winnie and staff who made our six day stay a very comfortable, happy, relaxing and memorable one. With such lovely friendly hosts who were always on hand to help with anything including advice on how to get around, local knowledge to booking day trips, the villa is set in a immaculately kept garden of tropical trees, plants and flowers with the lovely cool pool in the middle. The meals from a set daily, varied menu were excellently cooked by Winnie herself and with a big value for money breakfast served by very friendly staff, to start the day what more do you need.

All tours are accessible. Helpful friendly staff Excellent meals. They will cook meals on request and readily accommodate people's dietary needs. The facility isn't a 5 star place, but you are treated very well and the service is excellent. That's what makes it such a good place to stay. We will stay here again in preference to Karon or Kata Beach.

I would highly recommend this resort to couples without children and others simply wanting a calm, relaxing environment at the end of a busy day. Everything was very clean and the property we noted was well maintained. Although it is a couple of short blocks away from the beach, the Villa has a beautiful deep water pool that is surrounded by lush greenery. The service was superb and the owners of the establishment went above and beyond what one would expect, to ensure that guests were happy and well taken care of. The food was delicious and inexpensive! Yes, you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner and kitchen almost always seemed to be open!
