Review 1：Very steep stairs! We had to leave our luggage on the stairs - no real secure place to leave it for the day after we checked out.

Review 21：We were put in a room which is approx 100 ft from the hotel. They call it an appartment. The room was very large with sofa, table with 4 chairs and 2 single beds and a lot of walking space in between. The bathroom was also large. The breakfast was excellent. We especially enjoyed the cream croissants. The location was perfect. 2 small blocks from St-Marc's Basilica. Many good restaurants near and shopping too.

We were given an apartment two buildings down from the hotel which was ideal as there was only one flight of stairs. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were helpful with a 24 hour reception. I would say that although the room was quite comfortable, this isn't the place for quite large people. But we had a truly enjoyable stay.

When discussed with staff; they said that city rules prevented them from providing air conditioning before May 15. The advertisement said the rooms were air conditioned and was a major factor in our consideration.

We got the room on the 5th floor.Although there isn't any lift the receptionist took our bags up. The room was big and beautiful. It's in the heart of Venice Receptionist very helpful Told us about the most amazing pasta place.

The hotel also have a nice back terrace (facing an alley) that we can sit around. Breakfast was ok. This hotel is value for money, but be sure to check the rates night per night, because it's not always the same. I met 2 of the staff on my stay. The first one was reluctant to answer questions, but the second one was REALLY helpful.
