Reviews for Beechworth Holiday Park

Review 1:Just be careful about using Google for directions, as you will end up in the National Park miles form anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review 2:Alice and Andrew had just taken over the running of the holiday park but all was very clean and they were very helpful. We felt it was good value for your money.

Review 3:The whole complex is in need of a big freshen up. It has great potential - great park for kids, great pool, cute cabins etc - but everything is run down a looking very tired.

Review 4:Very friendly, welcoming staff, great location, beautiful spot with parrots & rabbits running around, great walking tracks

Review 5:The mini-fridge in the room smelt like something had died in it, and the outdoor setting was caked in dust. Charming in its own way though!

Review 6:Located very close to major attractions i.e. Mayday Hills Lunatic Asylum as well as town centre. Staff very friendly and knowledgable. Great value for money.

Review 7:Despite how they advertise, this place is NOT pet friendly AT ALL. The only reason we booked here is because they say they are pet friendly. Their policy makes it clear they are barely pet tolerant, which we didn't know until we arrived with our two small, well behaved, house broken and elderly dogs. Completely ruined our weekend plans and we ended up leaving halfway through our planned stay. The reasons provided for not allowing dogs inside were 1. That there would be pet hair inside. Well, they already knew we had pets, I don't see how we were supposed to make sure none got inside when it was already on our bags and clothing. And 2. That because they were expecting people to arrive the day we checked out, they wouldn't have time to clean. So apparently they don't clean the cabins between guests. I don't think you should advertise as pet friendly if you aren't. If you're travelling with pets, there are definitely better places to stay (try Woolshed Cabins, Chris was super friendly and helpful on the phone, even though we weren't even staying there!). If you're not travelling with pets, there are still better places to stay. Don't waste your time and book somewhere else.

Review 8:The electric fry pan wasn't working.

Review 9:Staff were only new taking over the business, they were helpful even though the power went out the staff member still came out and fixed the problem at 10pm at night

Review 10:The free wifi coverage wasn't good through most of the park, the new owners are fixing it though. Cabin could do with a little updating

Review 11:Staff were friendly and helpful, kids loved the play equipment, the setting was lovely

Review 12:The bed was the only thing

Review 13:We enjoyed our stay thoroughly our only complaint is that our bed was extremely uncomfortable the park is lovely and we intend to visit again in the future

Review 14:Cabin, crockery and cutlery dirty.

Review 15:Set on a little creek with bush walks easy to access and a great little playground with sand pit for the kids. 3km from Victorian Beechworth town centre. The owners are new and enthusiastic - set to do good things to the place.

Review 16:Needs pots 'n pans. Not adequate cooking facilities. Had to movethe microwave in order to use preparation surface . Probably shouldhave gone to camp kitchen to borrow stuff. Paid more than the bookingprice! Not good

Review 17:Bed was very uncomfortable. Chairs at dining table far too low, I had to put a pillow on chair to be able to eat at table.

Review 18:Quiet location. Close to town. Facilities clean. Heater was fine for April weather, but when weather gets really cold, would be inadequate.

Review 19:Value for money... Brett and Kim were very helpful and friendly hosts.. Cabins were ideal and comfortable, plus undercover parking for the bike..perfect.. Riding out the morning of my checkout I was surprisingly held up by a Koala with its bub clinging to its back walking across the road..

Review 20:Staff were very friendly and helpful. The cabin was lovely. The suggested bush track to town was absolutely beautiful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Review 21:Kim and Brett were the perfect hosts. They were truly accommodating of two very weary travellers and it made all the travellers. The location was great, space of the cabins we were in and facilities were very good. We really appreciated the quiet space to have a weekend breather and go cycling in the areas nearby.

Review 81:The staff were excellent and very helpful, even lending us jackets and beanies for the ghost tour and advice on where to eat with maps included

Review 82:The little oil heater struggled to really warm the room. It took the chill off, but I imagine when it gets really cold it wouldn't be near enough.
