Reviews for Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Stadspark

Review 1:Large modern rooms, with great espresso machine. Good and quiet location by the city-park, walking distance to the town-centre on one side and sea-shore to the other. Hotel itself is excellent, great value for money.

Review 2:No minibar in the room. Fetching my drink in the bar and go back to the room is not very comfy

Review 3:The wellness posibilitie I liked best. Rooms are very comfortabele and the staff go the long mile to comfort you

Review 4:Room in the old buidling, although in the early reservation requested a new room. Very old room with no view. Restaurant pretentious and dark.

Review 5:Free parking, strategically situated

Review 6:got a non-smoking room that smelled like cigarettes - on the nightstand there were marks from Cigarettes very old room they wanted to charge us 25 Euros per person to use the pool matrazes were very old

Review 7:Location was good

Review 8:Bedroom walls looked as though the woodpeckers had been having a field day. Pock (peck?) marks all over the walls partially filled in with white filler, which really stood out against chocolate brown paintwork. Lackluster housekeeping: asked twice for more soap before any turned up. And cleaning materials left in room.

Review 9:Friendly, cheerful staff. Beautiful surroundings: very quiet.

Review 10:Breakfast room too small for number of people they tried to serve.

Review 11:Overall hotel decor and ambience. Bathroom design. Coffee maker in the room. Restaurant was very good and accommodating to special diets. Spa was very nice.

Review 12:The price for the breakfast is too expensive, very bad sound isolation (we were awakened by the noise of the air from another room). We lost the opportunity to have a sauna session because when we asked a member of the staff she didn't tell us there was a sauna.

Review 13:Nice breakfast and in good time (8:00-11:00), the rooms are clean, the staff was friendly

Review 14:for a 4 star hotel , there wan t any refrigerator in the room.we have to use a plastic bag hanging outside the window to keep some things cool. they supposed to clean the room every day, which they did, but without cleaning the floor. on our first day we order dinner with a room service, which we have payed it immediately , but during check out we have been forced to payed it again and it was 54 euros. finally, although my booking was including breakfast , during check out they tried to charge us 220 euros additionally for the breakfast.thank god i was having with me a printed copy of my reservation.

Review 15:wi fi. the breakfast was good enough, although during my 8 days there, it always was the same (bread ,butter, eggs, bacon, beans, some fruits, honey, coffee, milk or juice)

Review 16:Bathroom is a bit outdated (not refurbished yet?) however functional and clean and everything works fine. The shower is good. To shower you need to step into the bath which is a bit difficult for elderly people.

Review 17:Beds are excellent. You can open a window for fresh air. It is clean and staff are very friendly. Breakfast is excellent. Real value for money. Will book again when we will have an overnight stay in Bergen op Zoom.

Review 18:Our room was in the older part of the hotel and was a bit tired but still acceptable. Unusually, the receptionist at checkout seemed rather disinterested.

Review 19:The hotel is in a quiet area within easy walking distance of the very attractive centre of Bergen op Zoom. There is plenty of free parking. The breakfast buffet is comprehensive and we enjoyed an excellent four-course dinner in the hotel restaurant. The beds are very comfortable.

Review 20:My room was near a door in the floor passage, when it closed during the night, it made a lot of noise.

Review 21:Good position near to the city center. I had no time to use the well-fitness area.

Review 22:Shabby bedroom, no safe, very washed out towels. No shelves or drawers in the room.

Review 23:Entrance, lobby diningroom and garden. Very helpfull and friendly staff

Review 24:no minibar, pay extra for a towel in a wellness. you have to be naked in a wellness!

Review 25:Good place to spend a weekends. Nice staff, a wellness good but strange you have to be naked some days. Breakfast excellent. I love the mini pancake :)

Review 26:nothing

Review 27:Nice location between the Oosterschelde and the city centre. Friendly staff. Room, and bathroom, are large, comfortable and clean, with very good bed. Excellent breakfast buffet. The hotel has its own restaurant.

Review 28:The room could just be with no defected paint on the wall...(small holes) and for a 4 stars we could have some drink facilities (the or coffee) in the room...

Review 29:we can have a walk till the center and till the beach , really nice

Review 30:Nothing

Review 31:We all liked everything about the hotel, the peace in the area,15 mins easy walk to town centre where there were very good restaurants, the rooms are being refurbished and our rooms had not, but they were still very good, the air conditioning was very quite although you could keep the window open all night as it was so quiet around the hotel. lots of interesting places to visit nearby.

Review 32:The location is probably more appreciated in summer. In winter, the surroundings are not so nice.

Review 33:The wellness centre, the restaurant

Review 34:very clean room and bathroom; the spa, which was well worth the extra 10euros

Review 35:We got an upgrade, always good.

Review 36:The hotel was unexceptional but perfectly nice. We had a good view over the sea from our room. It is only a short walk from the town centre.

Review 37:Good location

Review 38:Room phone not working + rooms in bad need of redecoration

Review 39:Location & facilities

Review 40:Que for coffee machine at breakfast. One cup of coffee each in room. No shelf in shower. Glass toilet door!

Review 41:Location, Parking, Room

Review 42:Location, fair price, friendly staff, free parking, city and the lake are walking distance.

Review 43:Nice people

Review 44:Very good value for money, nice bed, nice bicycles for rent - nothing to complain, really

Review 45:Access to the spa/wellness facilities is not included.

Review 46:Nice breakfast and a good restaurant.

Review 47:The staff were super friendly, polite and helpful The room was spacious and clean, and the water was hot and plentiful. A great place for a break

Review 48:We tried the restaurant in the evening. They were very busy I would suggest booking a table as we had quite a wait. Very good meal.

Review 49:Comfort, location, food.

Review 50:Disappointed with the condition of the room and furnishings. Having stayed at the same hotel previously it seems to have gone down hill.

Review 51:Location

Review 52:Wi-fi access not so strong

Review 53:Great place to relax

Review 54:Location ( as far as my journey was concerned) is good- and the position between the water and the town is also very pleasant

Review 55:Disappointed that pool and spa were only available at a supplement

Review 56:Great room lovely breakfast

Review 57:All, no complaints

Review 58:Noisy plumbing

Review 59:Convenient for walking into Bergen Op Zoom

Review 60:Is not fair for a hotel client to pay relatively high amount of money to use the swimming poor as any external visitor / non clients

Review 61:wifi free but disastrous.

Review 62:staff great, room not bad, breakfast excelent.

Review 63:attitude and service of hotel restraunt amazing worse.

Review 64:Bathroom was in need of a refurbishment. Shower head holder broken.

Review 65:Very close to the water front. Smart reception and dining room. Lock up for guests bringing bicycles and plenty to hire.

Review 66:Did not allow late check out until 1 or 2 pm ? I made a reservation for one night May 25 then I extend my reservation one more day on another reservation (both are through Booking.com) I paid cash for both nights. However, my credit card was chareged 84 . Please return my money back to the same credit card Thanks & regards,

Review 67:Quite and nice staff

Review 68:old and outworn furniture, cold room 515, there was dirt in the corner of the bathroom and 2 worms in the tub. a 4 star hotel is not even offering a bottle of water, I paid 6,70 euro.

Review 69:breakfast, staff was friendly but not very professional

Review 70:Expensive and use of the swimming pool was another 10 euros each. For abicycle friendly country there was little room and nowhere secure toleave our bicycles. Outside our room (323) was situated some noisygenerating equipment that fired up every 15 minutes regularly until10pm. I was only staying one night but if I'd been staying longerwould have asked to be moved.

Review 71:Decent sized room. Clean and modern hotel. Goodbreakfast.Friendly staff.

Review 72:The room as the fornutures were not recent and also the bad structure was durty. The bathroom was big but with old tile and a not fully cleaned floor. The room need renovation!

Review 73:the location close to the park it was looking like being on vacation even if a few minute walking distance from city center

Review 74:Total lack of the accessories needed to make a room, particularly the bathroom practical, e.g. Hooks on the door, a towel rail, etc. No attempt at landscaping, a garden. No view.

Review 75:A place to lay one's head

Review 76:The room was a great disappointment, very shabby and certainly notworthy of a 4* rating. Singel beds and you had to pay extra for a double(this was not indicated in the booking). Felt like they gave the poorrooms out and then expected you to pay upgrade prices to get the roomsin the new part of the hotel. Also, I have never been asked to pay for alate check out - this hotel felt like a Ryan Air hotel where you had topay for everything additionally. Not good!

Review 77:The spa

Review 78:Everything else. They put you in a very! Dated old room decorated in 80sstyle. Very dirty and old bathroom and did a bad job cleaning up afterthe previous people who stayed there. They claim to be a 4 star. I haveseen way better for half the money. This was ridiculous and will makesure none of my friends will ever visit there. I feel screwed over.Again the ground floor facade looks awesome... Really nice, but the 4thfloor all changes ( room 412) I hope and would like that something willget done so other people will not experience and be mislead. As we were. This also made me doubt the rating system of booking.com

Review 79:Location and ground floor design

Review 80:Slightly strange room layout in the new part of the hotel. Transparent sections of bathroom door.

Review 81:Friendly staff, good range of options for breakfast, handy location.

Review 82:This hotel has 2 sides, one set of rooms are from the 1970's and areterrible, and the other are modern and fine. On the old side, theshowers don’t work - ok they do work but are either cold or boiling, lamps are broken, toilets are brown and manky, floor tiles are sticky, the beds mattress is soft and spongy, the carpet smells, the windowscannot be opened unless you happen to have a mosquito net in your backpocket - as if!! There’s even a sign on the window to tell you not toopen in case you haven’t got a mosquito net! Rubbish! They should putnets on the windows since this is next to water ways. The area aroundthe hotel is dull and miserable.

Review 83:Nothing, its expensive at 120 euros, the receptionists are useless andcan only serve one person between two staff. The breakfast is shockinglybad there was a fly in my fruit, all the apples and oranges are dry, shrivelled and brown. There is no toaster, the staff in general have noclue at all.

Review 84:The room need some update. I had the impression that the beds smelt a bit. Pillows were not that comfortable.

Review 85:Breakfast had a good variety of food, drinks and yogurts. Staff was friendly and always willing to help. The SPA is worth the money you pay (Not the massage I am afraid).

Review 86:Not enough toiletries in the bathroom. Hallways' carpets could be cleaner. There is no fridge or mini bar in the room,

Review 87:Really nicely decorated lobby area. Super cool and relaxing Spa. Helpful and polite staff.

Review 88:From our window we looked down on naked people on sun beds - there should be an awning to prevent this. Were they aware of their lack of privacy? And we didn't appreciate it either. We would have liked a nice terrace/patio to sit outside instead of having to sit between the entrance of the hotel and the car park.

Review 89:Hotel was very hot indeed - no aircon or even air flow in the generalareas & the one in my room blew tepid air at best. Stifling & reallyuncomfortable in warm weather !

Review 90:Efficient & courteous staff - very helpful. Not cheap (breakfastwas €16 !)

Review 91:Beautiful and calm surroundings. Located near Bergen op zoom - a verynice small city. We rented bikes and had an amazing tour and dinner inBergen. The hotel staff was very kind.

Review 92:The hotel was nice, the staff was a little unprepared, most at reception new and undertrained, wanted to charge us a booking fee, we had to mention this was not the case. The breakfast was 16 EUR and I think that the quality was not worth it, so we did not buy. We were able to go see it, and the coffee machine was not worth a good coffee, the orange juice was not fresh, and the selection of food was poor considering the price.

Review 93:The spa was very nice and clean as well as the rest the hotel and the rooms. The reason we booked this hotel was because of the excellent price offered.

Review 94:What I did not like - swimsuits were not allowed in bath area.

Review 95:I also like the size of the hotel: actually, during check-in my room was not reserved (I was told - it is the fault of booking.com), but, fortunately, there were rooms available.

Review 96:I like it all. The best hotel I have ever lived in Europe so far.

Review 97:The entire hotel is very stylish and the room is very spacious and comfortable. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Everything is so great, plus a tranquil location and a few steps to the seaside and sports facilities.

Review 98:The bathroom is old, with damp and mould patches, and not up to standard. As a consequence the rooms are overpriced.

Review 99:Bedroom area was acceptable, clean and comfortable, with great views.

Review 100:The television in my room had seven or eight English Channel options butonly one of them worked

Review 101:The hotel is very pleasant and in a nice wooded location close to alarge lake which I walked around. Rooms are excellent, dining room andbar are also very pleasant. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Afew hours in the wellness centre is hard to beat for relaxation. It haspool, saunas, steam room, etc.

Review 102:Spacious and clean. Nice breakfast.

Review 103:Shower in bath tub very old. Shower head rather lose on wall. Poor water pressure. Wifi signal in room was very weak.

Review 104:Location close to city center

Review 105:Oldish room style. Poor variety at breakfast. Noisy rooms. Not worth the money.

Review 106:Found nails in the bathroom ......

Review 107:No safe boxes in the room

Review 108:Front desk staff were the best. Housekeeping staff were also very friendly.

Review 109:Location and wellness Center

Review 110:Maintenenace and repair needs to be done periodicaly, because walls have some signs of ware.

Review 111:lack of towels for a twin room rooms not as well presented as communal areas

Review 112:communal areas breakfast

Review 113:The rooms were very basic and not particularly comfortable. They were also very cold.

Review 114:Location, friendly staff

Review 115:Getting a bit ragged around the edges in places...

Review 116:Friendly & willing staff

Review 117:Had a large bed made up using single sheets, don't the have double sheets?????

Review 118:Check out, nice bathroom but lacked any coat hooks or shelves

Review 119:Significant increase in prices over the same time last year. Above inflation

Review 120:Room located in old part Floor of bathroom needs to be changed

Review 121:Professional staff, good breakfast

Review 122:Attention! Extra costs for using the pool - without any information onthe Booking web page!
