Review 1：The couch in the living area of the room was not usable. The springs were completely gone, the fabric on the arms was visibly grubby and there where large food crumbs under the cushions. The staff were not terribly interested to remedy the situation, in fact she seemed surprised that we were not satisfied with this and even asked how long we thought we might need to sit on the couch for !!! Please ... I was traveling with my elderly parents who would have liked to have sat on a couch after 4 hour drive. The internet was not working in the room and when asked to help with a fix, I was told .. must be my computer ... I'm currently writing this review form a zenbu wifi login from motor in the Coromandel and its working fine. The sheets on my parents bed were that old and thin my father manager to stick his finger through the sheet while sleeping. When I mentioned this various points to the manager in the morning and asked if she thought we should pay the full tariff, she became very defensive and said there was nothing they could do ... not a professional response. We eventually settled on a discount amount relating to the booking dot com commission amount of $20.00 I would personally suggest this level of accommodation was worth $60-$70.00 not the $130.00 before the compensation discount was applied.
Review 2：Location was great and the size of the unit was good.
Review 3：The spa pool wasn't hot and this was not the first time we have had this problem. The toilet wasn't flushing properly which is just gross. Lots of flies and ants which has never happened before. I always thought i was getting my moneys worth but over six years the price has gone up but the rooms have definitely not improved and i feel have gotten worse. Just doesn't feel the same anymore.
Review 4：We stay at Burwood Manor every year around Christmas time to see our children. We love the outdoor swimming pool and the convenience of walking to shops, restaurants and supermarkets. The owners and the room service lady are very nice.
Review 5：Dated tired decor Dirty kitchenette ie; coffee plunger, glasses etc...dishbrush and potscrub filthy! pathetic shower pressure, tv not working laundry closed at 9pm despite the fact we were doing washing!

Review 9：Rooms run down, smelly , not very clean, couch broken, peeling wallpaper, broken door chain, no locks on windows for fresh air but signs saying 'lock windows' ,bad lighting, heaters but either not working or no plugs in obvious space to use. Toilet for my companions in another room not working.Disappointing for the price.

Review 12：We liked having the private spa pool just off the bedroom. The location was good, close to supermarkets and fast food outlets (if you wanted that kind of thing), walking distance to town. The shower was big, with great water pressure.
Review 13：We had 2 seperate rooms book when we open the door of the first one it had an overpowering strong and not a nice smell. When we asked if we could change the room because of the smell was told it was fine this morning but they did let us change. I noticed latter that they opened the door to that room. The way I was spoken to made my views seem unimportant.

All in all we were quite disappointed with our motel would not stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone either. :-(
Review 41：The female staff member was rude and unfriendly. The inside of the unit is dingy and old-fashioned. Overpriced for poor service and basic room. Have stayed in nicer hostel rooms for a third of the price.

Review 44：Water was to hot in kitchen and hand basin but I had no hot water when Ihad a shower. Unit 25 had sellotape holding up shower head. Antsattacked our box of food, thank goodness for fly spray. In fairness wehave stayed many times over the years, first time have had a problem.Also some units may need updating.
