Review 1：On check-in the female proprietor wasn't welcoming and made our arrival seem like an inconvenience. The decor was very dated and the room looked more like a student hostel, not a hotel.

Review 2：The location, the hotel was close to the eating district in town. The heated pool was clean.

Review 3：Ambassador Motel was very close to centre of town and easy walk to shops and eateries. Government Gardens only a 5 minute walk away. Motel had a mineral pool, spa and heated swimming pool. Great for relaxing after a busy day of sightseeing.

Review 6：The accommodation was spacious and contained everything we could possibly need during our stay. Attractions in the city were easily walk-able from the motel so no need to worry about parking. Helpful and friendly staff.

Review 15：Rooms needed a good clean and needed a extractor fan in main bathroom. When we opened the window all the insects came in. Man fixing the pavers beside the pool, no cover on pool so could not use, surely this should have been done during the week!

Review 18：We loved the accommodation of the proprietor in letting us have the unit early as my husband was ill and needed to lie down. No problem. Big welcome and here's the key. We loved having two rooms, big sunny windows with views, a variety of mineral pools and walking distance to amenities.

Review 41：The location is fantastic - you can see the lake from the room (Top Floor). Its only a short walk to the main eating area in town (Maybe 300m) but far enough away to not be disturbed.The pools were clean and tidy as were the rooms.

The view of the lake is great (a little interupted but still good). Had trouble deciding between spa, heated pool or thermal pool, so did all three! Location is great as it is close to thermal areas and wildlife, the main city and Lake Rotorua. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
