Review 1：Actual hotel faces away from the main road, not sure feels more likes its on the back road! Pretty confusing as you have to drive around A car park to get there. Does not feel very safe, ( more of a rotorua thing then hotels fault )

Review 4：The very friendly front line staff. Orderlies and valet parking excellent. Lovely room and aspect. Rm 311. Excellent follow up on lost ppty. The bar was great and the bar snacks extremely tasty. Good value.

Review 5：Bathroom countertop and basin had to be re -cleaned. Manager's seeming lack of concern about address details. The front entrance is in Trig Avenue but the hotel is advertised as being in Fenton street, which is the back entrance.

Review 12：This place reminded me of the hotel from The Shining! Every time you turned a corner in this quirky place, there was something unexpected!!! From the yakatori restaurant with complete Japanese fit out, to the grotto spas hidden in the basement- it was really easy to spend a good half a day just exploring the hotel!

Review 13：not good choices for dining, either a Japanese or a narrow menu in the Pavilion. If we had known that we were to be swamped by tour groups at breakfast we would have gone elsewhere rather than pay for an expensive breakfast which was ruined by the other guests. Suggest strongly that you cater for individual travellers separately at breakfast.

Review 15：We were very disappointed with the quality of the beds in the room 114 superior suite that we had. The mattresses on all the beds were well past their used by date and were very curved - resulting in bad backs after the first nights stay. This did not live up to the "superior" rating advertised on the booking website

Review 16：I slipped over on the slime on the driveway, reported to staff, not interested. No microwave oven to heat food. No bar. The breakfast was poor for $28.00 per head, a lot of dishes were empty. Found that some of the front of house staff rude. Could not log onto the smart TV. Access from car park to room not easy.

Review 18：When we arrived the lady at the desk was RUDE! she didn't smile, was disinterested. Had an attitude about her as if we were inconveniencing her day. She asked if we had a reservation and looked us up on the computer and said "You haven't paid - you have to pay now." Her tone was quite offensive. She also said "I have to charge you an extra $50.00 too." She didn't explain why I was paying extra, when asked what its for just said "its bond" and only when questioned said it'd get refunded when we left. She didn't tell us about the hotels facilities - we found out by another guest on the day we were leaving there was a pool! Checkout was much better, the staff were lovely and really helpful! I was also lead to believe we'd get views of the hot pools/geyser's, but didn't.

Review 22：I really loved our stay. It was super relaxing. We've stayed in the superior rooms before but this time we stayed in a deluxe room, it was wonderful (well worth upgrading to this room). The beds have an amazing underlay that makes the bed feel very luxurious :) Loved the furnishings. Super clean. Thanks :)

Review 34：We booked 3 rooms to stay 1 night for family leisure over the weekend. A child stayed in one of the room was woken up early in the morning by bug bites. We found there were 8 bites around his tummy. We called the receptionist to complain. The lady was really helpful to send a guy to check. Unfortunately the guy’s answer said that he couldn’t find any evidences to show there is bug in the bed.. But he also admitted the bites are very fresh. In the reception, I complained to the duty manager about this. What she explained makes me feel angry. She said this might the mosquito bite, and it happened on her too. I just want to say that mosquito must have human mind that not bit the exposed areas such as face or arms, instead of biting a tummy area where covered with pyjamas as well as covering with quilt. When I insisted her explanation it is unacceptable. Then she changed her mind said it might be a spider bite. And again she said it happened on her too. What a well experiences lady! I totally unaccepted her explanation. This clearly is shirking its responsibility. After all, I required a full refund for that room’s accommodation. Then the duty manager explain that was beyond her authorize. And what she can do is credit that room’s breakfast to me and will ask the general manager call me on Monday for discussing the refund of accommodation. Unfortunately I didn’t receive any calls from them at all. The hotel makes me very upset for what they treat a customer. I will not recommend to any of my friend to stay in this hotel at all.

Which we found absolutely disgusting and the girl at the front desk was very rude. The breakfast cost $56 and wasn't that great. You would be better to go to a cafe. Overall feeling very ripped off for how much we spent

Review 59：I think the room we got was over priced for the facilities that were provided to us. It was ok for one night but as a family on a budget we couldnt do more than that. It would be better if there was some sorts of cooking appliances available in the room like a toaster and microwave perhaps also a fridge freezer. As a young family needingbto provide snacks to young children we were forced to go out just for them to eat cooked food or use the restaurants in hotel which wasnt an affordable option for us. So indeed would have been better to have some cooking appliances inside.

Review 77：Everything! The staff were attentive, informative and polite. The room was fantastic. We were upgraded to a suite, without charge. The beds were really comfortable. Our room charge included breakfast and this could be enjoyed in the room or the restaurant. It is rare to have this choice. We also enjoyed a fantastic room service dinner, as we had travelled 500 km that day and did not fancy going out. The T-Bone with Pacific style prawns was wonderful.
