Review 1：We felt like hosted by family, the staff is great, the food by the pool for breakfast was excellent... The house, superb !! The resort is a little far from city center but the staff drove us everyday and had very good advices. Thank you all !

Review 2：It is a bit out of the way but we had our bikes with us, so no problem. And I think the hotel offers transport too.

Review 3：First we were a bit disappointed because the hotel is not quite ready yet and there was only one other couple. But then it was one of the best places we stayed at because the room was luxury, the pool was big enough to swim some decent lengths and I usually had it for my own, it was very quiet at night and the hotel owners were ever so nice and helpful. A perfect place to relax from a long journey.

Review 7：The Siam Tara is unbelievable!! The owners John(A Pom) and his wife could not be kinder.Thier staff Ming(who never stops smiling) & Shed(the gopher bloke) are also awesome.The digs themselves are brand new with all the furniture and trimmings are teak.The rooms are large with a big 4 post bed,great bathroom and lounge, it also has a really good 2 metre deep pool. Your view over the Mekong to Loas and the country side is refreshing.It is also the closest hotel to the border crossing. John has a great sense of humour and compassion,he also introduced me to his mate Barry an ex Aussie Vietnam vet and a bloody character. I rate the Siam Tara resort as the best in northern Thailand.The staff,the quality of the place and location tick all the right boxes.If you visit Chiang Khong do yourself a favour and book the Siam Tara for a very enjoyable stay.Tell them Fozzie sent you!!
