Reviews for Repubblica Di Oz Rooms

Review 1:That I had to leave at the end of my trip.

Review 2:The decor was fun. Everything worked well- wifi, great showers, comfy beds, spacious and well appointed furnishings. Best of all, the owners are friendly and very helpful.

Review 3:everything was fine comfortably cozy. thank you boss )))) for your attention at any time of day and willingness to help on any issue. we will be back! thank you for everythink

Review 4:It's not close enough to England to try every room lol

Review 5:Rooms are very quirky and super stylish the tips given for restaurant , ice cream etc were spot on Can't speak highly enough , great location and very friendly owner

Review 6:Breakfast is poor. I had to pay for a extra coffee. You get 1 coffee and 1 croissant. But that didnt ruin anything.

Review 7:Such a amazing rooms that make you feel great. Lovely lady that gives you a warm welcome and explains about the rooms. I would for shure go back there.

Review 8:Breakfast was continental only (but will change) Access to balcony requires stairs (no problem if you're mobile)

Review 9:Quiet and central, each room very eclectic - certainly not your standard business hotel!

Review 10:Dante welcomed us right when we arrived and even had some "welcome whiskey" waiting for us in our room, which was quite nice! The service was very warm and welcoming. He was kind enough to leave an iron outside our door, so we could press our outfits for the wedding we were going to. We also had a big balcony and free-wifi. The breakfast could have included a bit more as it was just juice, coffee and type of Italian croissant BUT it was offered at a very nice chocolate/dessert cafe in front of the building, so we appreciated it very much since we got to sit outside and enjoy the weather... Would definitely stay here again as the location is PERFECT. It sits on a lovely (and lively) street, which is in the heart of Varese and a very short walk from the train station. Great find and great deal!

Review 11:There isn´t any sign of the Hotel outside and in the internal courtyard. ... so you have to ask for the hotel to the people that work in the locals nearby. The breakfast is poor. Cheap hairdryer - not in line with the standards of this beautiful and original accomodation! If you have a big car, you could have big problems to park in the internal courtyard (very narrow entrance)!

Review 12:Great Location (in the City Center - completely traffic noise free). Very interesting and original fornitures - great balcony! Very clean. I really appreciate Mr. Dante´s wellcome! He is very friendly and helpful.

Review 13:Our room was beautifully decorated in an opera theme, and even had a bath. We received a very friendly welcome. There were many restaurants within easy walking distance.

Review 14:No safe in the room.

Review 15:The room design and welcoming atmosphere were incredible. The hotel is located in the heart of the city and it is really convenient to reach all the main city points. The rooms are specious and clean, the bed and pillows are very comfortable with a good quality lining. The bathroom is spacious and beautifully decorated. The wi-fi is strong enough.Next time we will definitely stay here.

Review 16:Very nice rooms in an old italian building. The Owner gave us many excellent recommendations on shopping, eating and going out! Very personal and very italian!

Review 17:nothing to mention

Review 18:Great location, Dante was most helpful with information about local attractions and restaurant recommendation, we had a fantastic dinner! Great service, clean room, nice breakfast. Many UNESCO World Heritage sites nearby..

Review 19:- Owner, very friendly - original room design - exclusive look - location- can't be better - free parking - breakfast at the local place next to the hotel, was just perfect

Review 20:We stayed at Repubblica Di Oz 2 days wnd (10 - 11 Jan 2015) This room was stunning and totally unique. I was filling myself like in the museum, surrounded by old books and many other antique objects. Rossella our host could not have been more friendly. The location is in a beautiful and chic part of old town of Varese and in the evening comes alive with live music and locals eating out, street market also. A charming city break that we could not have imagined when travelling to meet my mother. Nothing worth mentioning!

Review 21:everything was perfect.

Review 22:Owners are very friendly, helpful and informative. Rooms are unique, clean, comfortable. location excellent - right in the centre of Varese

Review 23:Matress not to my liking (foam type?)

Review 24:Special atmosphere. In the heart of town, Convenient free parking arrangement. Token for breakfast in cosy nearby cafe. Friendly and warm staff

Review 25:I had a wonderful stay. The owner could not have been better. He is very friendly and always willing to help. He helped me with everything and was pleasant. The room was very clean. I felt very much at home. Room Jester is a something fantastic! The guesthouse is located in the heart of Varese and close to Basilica di San Vittore (1 mins walk) . I would stay there again next time.

Review 26:it maybe a bit pricey but it is the chicest B&B I have stayed in. it is on the main square so best location in town breakfast is from a small cafe across the street 20 meters away.the rooms have a special ambiance, probably not family orientated, adult!

Review 27:Cannot think of anything!

Review 28:Generous bedroom & bathroom space. Imaginative decor combined with splendid comfort. Off street free parking was a bonus and to top it all the host (Dante) & his lovely wine ce were extremely helpful.

Review 29:Nothing worth mentioning!

Review 30:We stayed at Repubblica Di Oz during the u23 world rowing championships where our son was a competitor. Our room 'Lola and the Cat' was stunning and totally unique. Dante our host could not have been more helpful, even coming to meet me from the station at short notice. The location is in a beautiful and chic part of Varese and in the evening comes alive with live music and locals eating out. A charming city break that we could not have imagined when travelling to watch a sports event.

Review 31:Very cozy, well decorated apartments. You will fill yourself like in the museum, surrounded by old books and many other antique objects. You will fill like a child, discovering the world of wonders. We had a lot of fun playing on the grand piano that placed upside down on the wall of the main corridor. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time for to read the ancient books:). Breakfast on the little square, just stone drop away from the apartments was very Italian. We loved everything about that place. Highly recommended!!!

Review 32:The breakfast was given at the cafes around the hotel... It was a bit poor... But they plan to give the breakfast inhouse soon...

Review 33:The owners were great; informing us in advance about a festival that will block the car entrance... The rooms were very particular... Every item in the room has a story... U find yourself at the heart of the city... Highly recommended...

Review 34:Opulent décor in the room with secure parking. No lift but shallow stairs which were not a problem. The balcony is accessed via a small set of steps and out the window, not through a door which I liked and Ewen didn't. Very comfortable bed but the bathroom was too narrow for a normal size chap. Breakfast in the café was delicious and the host was outstanding. I would definitely stay again, Ewen perhaps not.

Review 35:Having to negotiate through the pedestrian area with a car. The breakfast was at a local cafe, so included just the minimum - which was less than I had enjoyed at all other locations.

Review 36:Great location, very helpful owner and delightful room and bathroom. I was late arriving and the owner went out of her way to ensure I arrived safely and directed me (driving) through the one-way system and pedestrian area.

Review 37:Didn't receive instructions how to get there by car (it took us almost an hour!). Couldn't operate the electric stove in the room. In this B&B place there is no breakfast - we've got a cup of coffee, glass of orange juice and croisson in a near-by coffee place. We were reprimanded by you and the owner for not reporting our exact arrival time !!!

Review 38:Exceptionel beautiful place!!!!

Review 39:absolut nothing

Review 40:everything perfect! we come certainly back!

Review 41:The rooms are in the best of taste equipped, unique and with a flair of the Opera. The house is just in the middle of the old town of Varese.

Review 42:Dante, the owner was very helpful and obliging. He didn't mind my husband having his precious bicycle in the room with us.

Review 43:Fantatic location, traditional building right in the centre of the old town and wonderful owner

Review 44:Mr. Dante is very helpful in every way. His suggestion regarding an Italian restaurant was excellent!!!

Review 45:no aircondition-terrible. bed i is too small.

Review 46:central location.Dante the owner is great and helpful.the price is real good.

Review 47:It's the fine attention to detail, and Varese town centre is gorgeous.

Review 48:Lack of shampoo/shower gel. in bathroom

Review 49:Excellent location, right in the center of Varese.

Review 50:the character of this hotel is unique, each room is a story

Review 51:The decor of the room. Position in the centre of Varese. The manager was extremely helpful. Gave lots of advice about what to do.

Review 52:The rooms were great! Large, confortable and a real pleasure for the eye. Very friendly staff

Review 60:the owner Dante was very helpfull with everything we needed

Review 61:Dante the owner was very friendly and helpful.

Review 62:Dante was excellent in reponding to our every whim and wish.

Review 63:Nothing

Review 64:Unique, attractive, owners super-helpful

Review 65:Beautiful and confortable room in centre of Varese. The owner, Dante, was extremely helpful and attentive. Highly recommended.

Review 66:Great place!! Located right at the center of Varese - very convenient for tours in the lakes around. The owner was extremely nice and friendly, and was very helpfull. the building itself is very special and the rooms are uniqlly decorated with many cool antique items. a place with a character, in the best meaning of the word. would definitely recommend!!

Review 67:This is an excellent place to stay. Our room was a good size, very clean and well decorated. In the very heart of Varese, there are many restaurants around and coffee places. We enjoyed our cappuccino every morning. Walking distance to the train station. Rosella makes you feel like you have known her for years and will tell you all the good places to eat. We had a great stay.

Review 68:It's a very special hotel with an unforgettable atmosphere. Every room is special and you really get the feeling you are staying at some collectors house rather than in the hotel. Breakfast is small, but good enough. And the couple that is running the hotel is absolutely fantastic. I will definitely recommend to my friends, also the style might be not to everybody's taste as it all everything but a standard hotel.

Review 69:Nothing we didn't like:)

Review 70:An absolutely fantastic find in a fabulous location right in the heart of the old town of Varese. Rooms are very generous in size and decor is interesting with lots of old antiques around the place. Both Dante and Rossella could not have been more helpful; their knowledge of the town and recommendations for places to visit and restaurants was faultess. We loved the fact that breakfast was just a few steps away in the choice of two local cafés. Perfecto!!

Review 71:We stayed only one night, I wish we had stayed longer!!! So perfect

Review 72:Room decoration, perfect location in the city center, host is great and very friendly and helpful Very comfortable and romantic

Review 73:Absolutely nothing<

Review 74:Extremely well situated, comfortable bed, well appointed room and modern bathroom - all impeccable. Both hosts were warm and friendly and gave us two excellent recommendations for dinner. Breakfast which is taken in either of two local cafes just across the road was also excellent in both establishments - wonderful Italian coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and warm croissants. Who could ask for more?

Review 75:Perfect place for valide people, in the very centre of Varese. Owner is very friendly and helpfull and the restaurant opposit he advised was faboulous.Closed private parking is very conveniant.

Review 76:Finding it was a bit of a challenge, but finding a diamond can be difficult at times.

Review 77:Everything about Repubblica di Oz was fabulous. We were in the 'Opera' room which was incredible. The host, Dante, was wonderful and helped us with recommendations, advice, everything we needed. I would like to give it an 'excellent plus plus'.

Review 78:The quirkiness of the rooms. Breakfast taken in a local coffee house, instead of the often sterile atmosphere in a traditional hotel, thefriendliness and helpfulness of the owner

Review 79:Very nice central place in Varese. You could go around at night without worrying or getting tired, and in the morning you where just there with everything around you.

Review 80:The location was central, very close to restaurants. For a central location because it position in the pedestrian area, it was really quiet. Owner couldn't have been more helpful.

Review 81:A wonderful room in the center of Varese. Perfect for travel by car. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast place across the road does a nice capucco

Review 82:Location can be no better. The room is very spacious, clean and beautiful. Having been informed of my disability, the hostes switched my room to the first floor. Rossella greeted me on street, guided me driving into the court yard for parking (I was drivng a SUV). She also helped me by carrying the luggage. She offered to show me the other rooms, but I declined due to a physical problem.

Review 83:Had to carry up our luggage 2 flights of stairs. Heating came on and off as it was on a thermosatat, so it did feel quite cold during the night. Wifi connection was unreliable, but it seems that was an unusual situ.

Review 84:Interesting decor, shows a lot of care and personal touch. Very welcoming and eager to please. Lovely location, on a quaint street.

Review 85:We are very happy and suprise to stay in such a lovely, special B and B. First It's located in centre centre city with the basilique just next door. It offers super delicious breakfirst in a bar next door. What's more is they have several rooms rooms with differenct themes. The one we stayed is well designed with selected furnitions. We are so happy with the stay in DI Oz.

Review 86:There was absolutely nothing to complain about!!

Review 87:We had the most amazing time in Republica di Oz! The furniture was absolutely incredible. Dante was so kind to show us all the rooms and each one of them is special and decorated with so much love and creativity! Each time you enter a room you feel like stepping into a different period of time! We actually want to come back and try each one of them! Breakfast was in a lovely cafe just opposite the road and there are great restaurants right outside the hotel. We highly recommend this place, its perfect for a romantic weekend to relax and enjoy the italian lifestyle in Varese!

Review 88:My husband lost his wallet, we asked Rosella and Dante where the police office was, they kindly offered to go with us because we don't speak Italian. I don't think a lot of people would do that! We really appreciated it! The room was really nice, a lot of fine art! The B&B has a good location! A lot of nice restaurants, shops and bars. The breakfast was very good!

Review 89:Rosella and Dante both run the hotel. Its got a fantastic feel and real character. Its centrally located and around the hotel are numerous shops and restaurants to keep you entertained. The room was luxurious: the design and layout great. I'm a fan of art and vintage furniture and the room didn't disappoint. The decor was GORGEOUS!
