Reviews for Adam's Mark Buffalo Niagara

Review 1:Staff was very helpful. Beds were very comfortable, had a great sleep. Our room was very clean and pretty much soundproof! In the morning when I was packing the car, I discovered in the hall that the room next to ours had the radio VERY loud, couldn't hear it at all in our room! Pool was very nice and warm! Exercise center has very good equipment and a sauna.

Review 2:I left a message with lost and found staff and their online system regarding my jacket I forgot in my room. They never replied to my messages.

Review 3:Location to First Niagara rink.

Review 4:It looks unwelcoming from the outside because it's all cement, but once you get inside it's very nice.

Review 5:This hotel was great. It's next to the highway but you couldn't hear anything and it made it very convenient to get to. It was a little out of date style wise, but it was clean and comfortable and not very expensive. The staff were friendly and I really liked it. Good free breakfast buffet too!

Review 6:Sauna was not hot . Drunks on the 3rd floor outside their room making noise for at least a half hour . 3am to 3:45 am No staff showed up. The buffet breakfast should include anyone staying at the Hotel, Should not have to pay for your 12 yr. who stays in your room.

Review 7:Close to the hockey arena and downtown amenities

Review 8:Breakfast was ok not great and the window was a little drafty in our room.

Review 9:Hotel is close to pretty much everything and staff was friendly and helpful!

Review 10:Paying for parking and the process to get in an out was ridiculous. How do you charge for me parking at your hotel, extremely poor idea?

Review 11:Friendly staff, room was nice, clean, and good value for the money.

Review 12:For the amount of money I had to pay for one night stay, and still have to pay to park...ridiculous!

Review 13:Free shuttle dining In City center was great...bar and restaurant in hotel fabulous!

Review 14:Not controlled by them but exchange rate on cdn$ is very steep , they should offer free parking to canucks to soften blow while C$ dollar is weak and keep business from staying over border or the other option of not staying at all

Review 15:location is close to sports venues

Review 16:The hotel needs some care with painting and elevator updates. Our curtains in our room were old and falling off the rods.

Review 17:The staff was absolutely wonderful! They made us feel very welcome.

Review 18:The freindliness of all staff was remarkable Places to see and get a manicure and pedicure ...enjoyed the dinning erea and relaxed by rhe pool...and not far from buffalo collage...and the casinos...

Review 19:The rooms appeared a little run down but honestly still comfortable and clean.

Review 20:Three young backpackers and this hotel was perfect for us. Nice, safe, clean, great location being a short walk from downtown. They had a really cool restaurant that had good meals at very reasonable prices, a free computer and printer service, and nice staff.

Review 21:Bathrooms need an update. Very small. Soundproofing would be nice as the hotel is right next door to an elevated highway with traffic streaming all night. Sleeping was difficult. Breakfast food at the restaurant was poor.

Review 22:Nice staff

Review 23:I chose this hotel for the pool, it was very cold and my children did not get to enjoy the stay, also stated free breakfast for four people and only covered 2 , should be specified.

Review 24:Nice employees

Review 25:Pool was unbearably cold, broken shower rod, restaurant was sub par and service in restaurant was almost non- existent

Review 26:Room was spacious, staff was friendly

Review 27:Staff, although efficient, seemed abrupt, at times. During the night there was a violent altercation in the room next to ours. We called the front desk and they said they would send up security. The altercation continued for some time. No one followed up with us and we wonder if anyone even came up to investigate.

Review 28:Convenient location as bridge tournament was in the building

Review 29:Location is quite far from Niagara Falls. Remote Control is not working on TV. Housekeeping keep forgetting out items requests. Need to be repeatedly asked for. Parking has a fee. Breakfast buffet is not nice. No near place to eat.

Review 30:The buffalo wings at the lobby resto are delicious. Female Staff at night is nice.

Review 31:I was charged one price online and charged 200 more dollars when I received my bill. If I had known I was gonna be charged that much , I wouldn't have stayed there! Also I'm disabled and wasn't offered a handicap room!!

Review 32:The beds were comfortable

Review 33:Even though the location is good, the immediate area surrounding is not pedestrian friendly. To walk anywhere involves crossing very confusing streets and close to express ways. It's not even car friendly. The hotel is like on an island in the midst of one way streets and expressways. Also, the parking garage is creepy.

Review 34:It is in a good location which is what we were looking for in downtown Buffalo. Also, we needed something relatively inexpensive.

Review 35:Struggled to find out where to hang the clothes. The cupboard was hidden behind a full length mirror. Reception staff assumed you knew how to find the lifts, what floor your room was on etc. Not very helpful if it was your first visit.

Review 36:Huge comfortable beds with loads of pillows. Iron and ironing board in cupboard.

Review 37:Every thing was good I just wish there was some type of free breakfast type free breakfast

Review 38:Best thing about the hotel was the location for the event that we were going to

Review 39:Our bathroom door had so many coats of paint it didn't close property. There was a dead bug in the curtains when we went to open them.

Review 40:Location was great for attending a sabres game

Review 41:Rooms and furnishings a little dated. VERY noisy guests next door to us. Sounded like the walls were paper thin.Could hear highway noise through the windows. Sounded like windows were open

Review 42:Proximity to the First Niagara Centre, Close to Canadian border, speedy check in and check out, Staff was great. Security young lady very nice as was front desk staff

Review 43:staff arguing in front of customers in the bar, non friendly front desk staff, slow service at breakfast and poor quality of the buffet; lack of luggage carts

Review 44:pool, bed comfort

Review 45:Torn screen in window. Face plate on inner bathroom door was broken. Noisy traffic all night - close to the thruway.

Review 46:Close proximity to a wedding reception we attended

Review 47:Location was just off the exit ramp...couldn't have been easier to find. Quick & friendly check-in and check-out. Nice big, clean bathroom. Comfy bed. Cabs were right outside the front door, with a $5.00 ride to the First Niagara Center. Couldn't have been more satisfied with this hotel!

Review 48:Parking should be included... It's not much but it really feels bad to have to pay separate after you pay for a room that not cheap at all..

Review 49:There's a restaurant downstairs, breakfast was good, they were really fast and not expensive..

Review 50:There was no wifi, and our room looked a little shabby for the price. Pieces of ceiling were flaking off, the tint on the windows gave for a horrible view, our door had to pulled/pushed hard to latch, and wallpaper in the hall was torn and falling.

Review 51:Loved the staff, Chelsea was our waitress on Saturday morning. Friendly and attentive, I adored her. The man at the front desk helped us with suggestions and called a cab for us.

Review 52:Towels weren't replaced after being removed from room, and the bar area was actually very loud at night while we were trying to sleep

Review 53:Location was excellent, right off highway and only 20 mins to the falls, and easy walk to local bars and restaurants and some landmarks.

Review 54:My guest and I had to switch rooms 3 times. The first room was takenalready and the next was the wrong room from what we reserved. Then totop it off both of our accounts were charged for the nights we stayedinstead of just one account. This didn't make me happy! Otherwiseour stay was good..

Review 55:No frig in room. HoJo's has you beat. Parking fee in a deck that was empty. Check out clerk not interested in our satisfaction. Signage poor. Parking deck elevator area cumbersome with baggage and impossible if handicapped. Just seemed outdated and not a pleasant experience.

Review 56:Not much.

Review 57:Wifi was not connected to the Internet due to "upgrading" now in September, 2015

Review 58:Fantastic location close to downtown and freeway entrance (however it takes 30min drive to the falls);

Review 59:The wifi is really bad.

Review 60:The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Buffalo, close to thewater front. The rooms are quite spacious and the bed was pretty good. The hotel also has a gym and a swimming pool which are both quite nice.My rating is also based on the fact that I got 40% off throughbooking.com.

Review 61:Clean, comfortable room with a great bed and shower. Also, check-in staff was friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast server was professional and helpful.

Review 62:Exterior hallways were run down. Staff wasn't overly friendly, but not rude or unhelpful.

Review 63:Excellent location. Walking distance to arena, Canalside, and downtown. Room was very bright, clean, and comfortable. Cheap, covered parking.

Review 64:The check in line was long

Review 65:I loved the bed, the decor & the friendliness of staff. Also, I walked into this hotel with a preconceived opinion based on past negative internet reports, which I add were unfounded. It was better than my fears. Give it a try...

Review 66:The rooms are very poorly kept from the entrance of the doors to the furniture. The furniture is badly stained (we put towels over the chairs to sit down) and the windows are cracked. We also have friends who stayed there to join us in another room and they were very disappointed

Review 67:The convenience of the location

Review 68:The wifi was horrible. The hotel needs to be remodeled, it was clean but everything is worn . The room was just that, a basic room. I'm sure in it's time it was a beautiful hotel, but now it's outdated.Parking was $10.

Review 69:The beds were really comfy and it was quiet. Was only 15 minutes from the Ralph Wilson Stadium which was perfect.

Review 70:No map was given on how to get to our room.We had difficulty finding our room.We were disappointed that we had to pay for parking. No complementary pre-made hot coffee or tea for the guests. We had a fire alarm go off at 10:45 PM and it was nothing. No explanation was provided to the guests. There was only one to two elevators working for a lot of guests. We had to use the stairs to go up 7 flights

Review 71:It's too bad there isn't a more convenient "convenience store". We trekked over to the closest one (tucked into the side of a shady looking apartment building) and had to haul our purchases (including a case of beer) back to the hotel.

Review 72:Proximity to Coca Cola Field (home of the Bisons) is excellent. Just a short walk. On site parking is inexpensive and is good until 6 p.m. on check-out date. Beds were super comfy. Rooms were quiet.

Review 73:Wifi was sporadic and they said it wasn't an issue, even though other were complaining.

Review 74:Price for a hotel in Buffalo was excellent! Rooms were pretty good for an older hotel.

Review 75:The WiFi was horrible, and when it was working, it was very slow. Also, I had to go down three floors because the Ice Machine wasn't working on the floor where I was staying.

Review 76:The staff were very friendly and helpful, The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was in a good location.

Review 77:A pleasant fellow at the front desk confirmed that I'd properlyadded my friend to the reservation (this enabling her to pick up herkeys without me being there), but when she arrived, a rather tersewoman at the front desk said that my friend was not on the reservationand that she had to wait for me to let her in. Ways to perfect thevenue: power strips at each table in the study area, sell bar-approvedsupplies at the front desk (pencils [essential], analog watches[helpful but not essential], etc) and a much, much wider variety ofjunk foods and [essential] energy drinks to rival cvs (which is not farbut not conveniently close either and it isn't open all night likethe front desk is).

Review 78:Extremely good value. Incredibly spacious. Outstanding accommodationsfor people taking the Bar Exam (expansive study area set up in palatialballroom with 50ft ceilings). A somewhat organized system of luggagestorage for the day of departure. I highly recommend this place for itsvalue and size.

Review 79:The room needed some work, lamp not work carpet dirty. We asked the maids to clean it and it felt better. Probably older section of hotel. But overall it was good.

Review 80:I liked the location and the breakfast and bar area. Food was excellent. Pool was fantastic also

Review 81:Location is too close to the highway. The hallways were long, dark, and creepy. There was mold visible on the ceilings and walls with paint chipping and wallpaper coming off the walls.

Review 82:Almost everything. I expected a much more upscale establishment, but that was not the case. We didn't receive any assistance with our luggage upon arrival. The key card for the garage (and the extra $10 per day for this "convenience") consistently didn't work; we had to swipe the card over and over and over again. The extra charge for the mini-refrigerator (with no freezer) of $10 per night was outrageous, and they even placed the appliance in an awkward location in the room. And the toilet seat was dirty; luckily I brought my own cleaning products and took care of myself.

Review 83:Initially, it seemed like the downtown location was the best aspect of staying here. But that quickly was negated by the ridiculous extra charges and lack of complimentary breakfast. The water pressure was excellent, but the shower curtain rod was broken and water went everywhere.

Review 84:My reservation was not in their system when I arrived and I was told to wait 45 minutes to an hour (after being on the road for 6 hours. I was given a swipe card to park my car in the lot, with no instructions as to where exactly to park, but the card did not work. I had go back and get another card. After checking again on my reservation and finding it not processed, I had decided to leave. At that time another employee said she would manually enter my reservation from my confirmation e mail.

Review 85:The location was close enough to walk to Canal Side.

Review 86:Bathroom old, paint bubbling on the ceiling. No cabs outside. Loud at night with children. Pushy tourist groups at the elevator. Parking elevator opened in the middle of a wedding.

Review 87:Room was good

Review 88:hotel is looking old and dated. With the revitalization of Buffalos Waterfront it's time to put some money into the property

Review 89:Proximity to Buffalos Canalside

Review 90:Air Conditioner didn't work like it should

Review 91:Room was clean, staff was friendly, check in and check out was quick. Iaccidentally forgot to lock my car, came out in the morning andsurprised nothing was stolen, safe area.

Review 92:Floors in hallways as and elevators look like they have not been vacuumed for months, none of the vending machines stuffed with water, ac unit falling out, rusted shower rod, poor quality breakfast

Review 93:Don't know if there was a breakfast we had an early flight the next day.

Review 94:We had noisy neighbors. We called the desk & they handled it right away

Review 95:WiFi was very slow during the weekend. However, once the weekenders vacated the property, the WiFi was better.

Review 96:Staff were friendly and helpful. They hosted our family reunion on a July 4th weekend and performed well considering we were over 100 guest.

Review 97:The food is bad.. Salad on the side was off, room service slow (on oneoccasion after waiting two hours I realised I had been forgotten, butthe meal I got in the end was compulsory and the ac in the roomdidn't work (it was stuck on cold but someone did fix iteventually). The bathroom wasn't as clean as I would expect andeverything is in need of a general update.

Review 98:People were generally very friendly. When issues were pointed out therewas a genuine effort to help and fix the immediate errors. The locationis excellent 15 mins to half an hour from the airport and 5 mins walkfrom the centre of town.

Review 99:We were given the keys (at 9pm) to a room that was occupied -- pink nightie on the bed, people in the bathroom -- yikes. Our new room was run down and the carpet was damp. When we got into bed after midnight, the comforter cover on my son's bed was soiled with the dirty side flipped on the underside so that it wasn't visible until you got into bed. Had to call housekeeping and deal with the changeout. Pillows were lumpy. WiFi never worked. When we checked out, the person didn't ask how our stay was. She sorted papers and worked on her stuff while she handed us our receipt. I wasn't willing to spend the time to complain. I just wanted to leave.

Review 100:Fairly easy to get on and off highway. Fairly close to downtown restaurants.

Review 101:Check in was horrible. Worst I have ever seen. Check in was supposed to be a 3pm and room was only ready at 4:30pm. Was constantly told it would be 5 more minutes. Overheard staff talking that they gave our ready room away multiple times.

Review 102:One of my friends left his cell phone and the housekeeper answered it and it was held until we turned back to pick it up.

Review 103:The room could have been a little nicer and for the price of room service it could have been nicer as well. For almost 300 dollars a night it could have has a bit more class.

Review 104:Good location and friendly staff

Review 105:Ladies bathroom in the lobby area didn't have a door on one of the stalls; also no baby changing table.

Review 106:I read the reviews posted on the website after I booked my hotel reservation. At first I was worried about the hotel but could not change my reservation since all the other hotels in the area were booked for that July weekend. To my surprise, I love the hotel accommodations, staff and location to the event I attended.

Review 107:You cannot get wifi in your room. Only in the lobby and bar areas.

Review 108:We were there for the Rolling Stones. Coincidentally the Taste of Buffalo was on. So we were in walking distance of this great festival, and also to the revived waterfront area.

Review 109:We were awakened at 7AM by the fire alarm. We were instructed to exit the building-we stood outside for 15 minutes only to find out it was a false alarm.

Review 110:The pool was great

Review 111:My room is so close to the Main Street, there's car racing all night long which made terrible noise and me had a bad sleep in that room.

Review 112:The staff is very kind

Review 113:We had to 'rent' a mini fridge because it did not automatically come with the room. It quit working halfway through the evening, and in turn we had to toss my infant's formula.

Review 114:Great proximity to canal side. Clean and spacious room.

Review 115:when we arrived to check in they did not have my reservation from Bookit.com. I had to find the email confirmation on my phone for them to honor the room rate I booked. They also did not have the exact room I booked. I had to take a handicapped access room. They gave no explaination as to why they did not have it. Also the room had a window that was not sealed tight and the road noise was pretty loud.

Review 116:clean and comfortable .

Review 117:Nothing... I liked it all. Excellent value for money

Review 118:Hotel is easy to find Friendly staff Big, clean rooms Affordable parking Ideal for a visit to the Niagara Falls Big dining room

Review 119:The hotel is located in the downtown area of buffalo so no free parking is understandable, but what they didn't say is 10$ per night parking. Other than this, the hotel was pretty good for a night's stay

Review 120:A fire alarm sounded at 4 AM and the P.A. system instructed guests to exit the building using the stairwells. There was mass confusion trying to find the stairwells because the emergency exits are not clearly and prominently marked. I brought this to the attention of the front desk during checkout.

Review 121:Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Superb housekeeping staff. Excellent indoor heated pool. Professiional and well appointed fitness center with a clean sauna that really cranks out the heat. Outstanding location near the waterfront, easy access to highways, light rail stops, local eateries, and shops.

Review 122:The shower head in the rooms have extremely low pressure. Also, if your room faces the highway, you can hear every car, bus and truck passing by. We once stayed at a hotel near an airport and never once heard a plane landing or taking off, so the Adams mark probably has very thin walls.

Review 123:The staff were very friendly and welcoming

Review 124:Morning pot of restaurant coffee was tepid. I didn't like being seated behind a pole: single diners can be sensitive to location like that.

Review 125:The staff casually talked with me. They were genuinely welcoming and interested. Had I stayed another day we would have become old friends. Caesar salad was perfect, fresh and tasty. Best quesadilla ever!

Review 126:They screwed up our room we walked into someone else's room. Then my name wasn't even under the right reservation it was under my friends name.. Was just very unorganized and madenus have almost a 45 minute on and off check in.

Review 127:Convenient to where we were for the night

Review 128:We ordered a wrap and small pizza for dinner but it took 50 minutes to come out? We had a concert to go to had to have it wrapped to go? We had been hoping to enjoy our meal sitting down in the restaurant

Review 129:Room and Bed was congested, Water tap was bad , Beds are small Parking is expensive and not enough space. Breakfast is expensive.

Review 130:Hospitality , Location of the hotel

Review 131:The buffet breakfast was one of the worst I have had and our chek was $30. For two. All we ate was yogurt the scrambled eggs looked disgusting and the bacon had no taste. When I asks the waitress if they had a menu (prior) she spoke such bad english we were not sure what she said. Others got a menu so I guess it's available. Personally next Time I'm in buffalo I think I will try somewhere else. By the way the only way we got our check was by standing up and waking toward the cash.

Review 132:The hotel is good but pricy. They don't tell you there is a 10.00 charge for parking till you get there.

Review 133:Facilities are in desperate need of upgrade, beds were very uncomfortable. Windows were extremely dirty!

Review 134:Hotel and Restaurant Staff were very friendly, helpful! White bedsheets and comforter were clean.

Review 135:Parking is not free, slow draining of water from bathtub and sink

Review 136:Good location, reasonable price, room is big, comfortable and very clean, nice view from the window. Would stay here again.

Review 137:the walls must be paper thin could hear sirens at night and could hear my neighbor in the bathroom nextdoor water running before bed so could not sleep and in the am....mostly my husband could not sleep due to sirens I slept through them...but my room was a little hot but that happens...

Review 138:clean comfortable and beautiful

Review 139:The rooms are in need of a face lift chipped paint, water stains cabinets with shiny screw heads holding cabinets that should have been replaced long ago. No premium television channels.

Review 140:The bar tender was very nice and friendly.
