Review 1：Some problems with internet access in the room on 2nd floor, however, good access in the bar area.

Review 2：Very helpful staff provided us with guidance on places of interest and made very good recommendations where to have dinners. Very good location of the residence to explore both the North and the South. Nicely furnished rooms cleaned daily.

Review 5：Best hospitality I have ever experienced. Christophe and his team were incredibly friendly and helpful and did bent backwards to make us feel at home, furhtermore their recommendations for making the most of our stay were fabulous.

Review 6：Our stay at Marlin Creek was just perfect. We can recommend the hotel to everybody who wants to explore the island. From the hotel you can discover the south and west of the island (ideal for hiking, doplhine and whale watching etc.). The host Christophe and his brother (and their wife's) are not only charming hosts but also know a lot about the island and can give you tips about what to do. For us this was really awesome because you get free guides with your hotel room :-) During the evening you can also eat at the hotel, Pascaline cooks a delicious menu with local ingredients. If you stay at Marlin Creek you should try it at least once.

Review 10：For us it wasn't a problem at all, but just so you know: the kitchen has no cooking plate (only microwave + grill) and the fridge was a bit small.

Review 11：Large, clean room, good bed, small but OK kitchen, good working airco, amazing staff (absolutely the sweetest ever) great home feel, breakfast with homemade cakes (delicious!) You can sign up for dinner. Large long pool, small supermarket on 2 minute walk, bigger one in 15min walk. Felt VERY welcome, save and enjoyed every second! Good relaxing place to stay - from here you can visit National park, Tamarin (beach) and Flic Flac, for that you will need a taxi or car.

Review 25：The pillows were very flat (common to Mauritius hotels I see). But there were plenty of cushions to use, and I'm sure that if we asked the owners they would have got us better pillows.

Review 26：Great little guesthouse run by a very professional yet warm french couple. The studio room was very spacious and it felt luxurious. The grounds were very relaxing - there is a nice vibe, with a good pool and outdoor eating/bar area (guests only). The breakfasts were great - cheese, cakes, juice, cold meats, omelette - really well done. Christophe, the host, was very knowledgeable on local attractions, shops etc. It is a bit tricky to find in the dark (so be prepared to give them a call), but the location is really good - safe, quiet, yet close to shops and other attractions of the West Coast and black river national park. I wish i spent more than 2 nights here!

Review 27：Great location with a good pool and very friendly and accommodating staff. Some noisy upstairs neighbours were the only problem but we were swiftly relocated to a quieter room. Excellent service.

Review 28：I had the most wonderful stay at Marlin Creek - one of the best places I've stayed at in Mauritius. The atmosphere was calm, cosy and friendly. The service was extraordinarily good and everybody so very helpful. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the room spacious and beautifully decorated. Very good location as well for trips and with a small shop, ATM and restaurant in walking distance. If going back to Mauritius, Marlin Creek would definitely be my 1st choice.

Review 29：Nothing at all! Just some small things to take into consideration. Wifi had a hard time making it to our second floor so we went to the lovely bar area for this, where we actually met some very nice fellow guests. It also helps to have a rental car, and in any case I would do so as there is a lot of exploring to do on the island.

Review 30：The residence is on beautiful grounds with lots of green around. I still miss the view we had from our second floor room. The service during the stay couldnt have been more delightful and personal. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable. I love the large tropical shower head. There are towels that you can take to the beach. A small kitchenette with complimentary water and some fruit waiting for you. Several electricity sockets are adapted to European plugs. The airco works and is silent. The bar next to the beautiful pool is also where a wonderful continental breakfast is served as well as daily meals. We came back to eat here every night, its so good. We loved our stay!! A big thank you to the wonderful and warm team.

Review 31：If you don't have a car, the location is not the best for seeing all parts of Mauritius. It's a long bus trip up to Port Louis, for example. That said, it's entirely possible to travel around the island from here. Wifi in the room was a bit flaky, but worked well near reception.

Review 34：The twin brothers and their other halves were all amazing hosts, very helpful very attentive and we were made to feel welcome from the first moment. The hotel, rooms, pool everything is neat and tidy. We will definitely go back.

Review 35：Everything was great, room was spacious and very clean. Unfortunetelly, in Black River there is not much going on, but the hotel was always providing help (calling taxi, asking for prices, giving us a ride to nearby restaurants). Overall we liked the place and would recommend to others.

Review 36：5 mins walk to a port with ships sailing to dolphin watch.10 mins walk to a beautiful beach with very less people there!The owner was very considerate and very helpful.Even drive us to the supermarket n drive us back.Especially when we clock ourselves in the balconey,he didn't even laugh at us;) But the taxi driver was wee bite confused about the location,so u just tell them to Balck river police station then u will c a sign there.

Review 37：Directions are not easy to follow. We eventually had to ask at the Police Station only to find the place was "around the corner." We also had the need to contact the Residence but office hours are limited and the Booking Agency did not respond when we phoned them

Review 40：I travel with my family to Mauritius and have we been staying at MarlinCreek 12 weeks ont only 4 days we booked :). This family provideexcellent friendly service on a consistent basis. Whether you aretraveling for business or pleasure I can recommend Marlin Creek. Therooms are large and comfortable with air conditioning and a ceiling fan.The beds are high quality and comfortable to sleep on.Breakfast is continental style and healthy as well as very tasty. Pascaline runs a separate dinner service for guests with booking for dinner by 10am in the morning. Her cooking is traditional Mauritian Creole style and is great. The bar at the pool opens for evening drinks and its great. Look tripadvisor...
