Review 1：We spent only one nite in their so called "villa" and escapedon the very next day to another place. The conditions of the mentionedvilla are absolutely terrible!!! The whole house looked more like acheapest student hostel though it cost us almost 300 euro per a nite. Iwould strongly recommend you to never visit this nasty place!!!

Review 3：Pricing of the food and drinks was a bit unreasonable, the Christmas eve dinner was way over priced and pretty mediocre. The waiter staff in particular were often unfriendly.

Review 7：On half board basis you are only offered a fixed 3 course set menu with no options - perhaps better to book RO or B&B and choose what you actually want to eat off the menu. Boats moored at anchor directly in front of the hotel with some comings and goings meant restricted swimming, but for just cooling off was fine. Fairly narrow beach with lots of passing local residents many with loose dogs. Not very inviting to wander around outside the hotel after dark as is in a residential area with lots of the close by houses guarded by enclosed but barking aggressive guard dogs.

Review 8：Location of the hotel was perfect for our pre booked through the hotel (very successful!) deep sea fishing trip which included a pick up. We also booked independently an early morning swim with the west coast Dolphins - both boat trips started just 5 minutes drive from the hotel. The restaurant is romantic and atmospheric at night - lovely to watch boats bobbing around in the moonlight. Good live music on both nights of our stay. Don't be put off on arrival by the rather unappealing entrance, austere lobby and makeshift reception area - it all gets better! Not a luxurious class hotel but right on the beach with a nice pool and our room was quite stylish with a comfortable bed. Would definitely recommend choosing a sea view room.

Review 11：Not the best beach right in front of the hotel but you don't need to walk far to reach a better one. An a lá carte breakfast with two options is included but we would rather have chosen ourselves the items we'd eat (but this is not a significant matter because you don't have to eat everything that is put in front of you...but my ethics doesn't approve of wasting food).

Review 17：We were in Room 1, which gives on to the car-park and local homes, no ventilation except for the dusty aircon, so it's rather stuffy. The night we stayed there was a party and the music (although very good) went on for ages. The reason we stayed was to to avoid a late drive back home but we ended up having a late night anyway.

Review 23：Staff did an amazing job getting us into our rooms - they only got our booking on the day we arrived! The view from the restaurant over the beach is truly amazing as we enjoyed our morning pastries. The Riveria Noire also has the best microclimate on the island. It was beautiful and sunny while just over the mountains is was pouring rain.

Review 24：This is a really lovely hotel right on the beach - a very comfortable place with understated, cool elegance. The service is excellent (though the wifi was a bit irregular when I stayed) and the food very good. This is a small hotel, so you are away from the tourist crowds in perfect peace and tranquility. There is a big supermarket and other shops and restaurants within easy walking distance, and the hotel can arrange day tours, taxis and transfers. The beach is great for long walks.

Review 29：The sea in front the hotel is full of small boats, not suitable for bathing; Noisy day and night, for rooms' doors open to the central patio where is located the reception and everybody walk in and out, the staff discusses, overall early in the morning; some not well identificated machines, as power generators, work all night just near our room; The smell from the kitchen comes to our room (the terrace's suite) located just few meters above it; Poor assistance generally; Nobody came to help us to carry our 5 luggages for 2 flights of stairs to/from our room, except at the check-in when the young girl receptionnist carried the 2 cabin luggages; Reception-desk (and the rooms' keys panel !) is often not attended; At check-out we were asked, twice, to leave a tip for the cleaning staff; ... ...

Review 30：The standard room is very small, and smelled a bit like mold with a view over a brick wall. A bit to pricy for what we got. It was a bit hard to get a table at the restaurant and thes also where a bit to expencive since the service wasn't the best.

Review 36：Sometimes very slow and forgetful staff at the restaurant, there could be a very high potential because the food is good and the staff very friendly. It is a pity that they are not that good organized (you get the menu for drinks but they forget to take your order or you have to wait very long, the ordered milk for the coffee arrives when the coffee is cold,...). But the ambience in the beach restaurant is lovely!

Review 41：The hotel , which is a traditional on the beach style having a small number of rooms, is run by Fred and Aurelie and their friendly and efficient team who create a totally relaxing environment. The rooms are fine with quite a number overlooking the beach. The restaurant provides a varied and good menu and it is difficult to justify going elsewhere. For us it is number one choice

Review 62：The excellent location, right on the beach - we had some meals on the sand with the sea lapping gently a few yards away. The half board food was excellent. A three course meal every evening with nothing repeated over 14 days. Lots of local produce/creole influences. Excellent service throughout. As it is a small boutique hotel, the staff soon got to know us and made every effort to ensure we had everything we needed. The décor is well planned. Colours coordinated throughout. Massive bed in a large room with a balcony - overlooking the glorious sunsets each evening with a G and T in hand. perfect!

Review 63：The waiting staff were a bit lax,for instance we were seated at dinner for 15 minutes before we were given any menus and a further 15 minutes before our wine order arrived. A little frustrating. When the food did come, though, it was worth the wait! Similarly for breakfast we asked for milk for coffee but the coffee was cold when it arrived.

Review 68：Just that they would close the main doors to the hotel at 11pm and then you would have to find the security guard to open it up. It's good that they were being safe but annoying if you came back to the hotel after 11pm and had to wait for someone to let you in.

Review 69：I loved this hotel. This was my first time in Mauritius and I can say I am glad I stayed with this hotel and the view along the beach was great, the food was amazing. I stayed half board so my food was included. And the staff were really friendly, willing to go out of their way to help. The restaurant supervisors and assistant manager would always be there making sure everything was good with all the guests. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, it is clean and budget friendly as well

Review 72：the food was terrible, not much fresh seafood so dissapointed. the staff were rude and not helpful. the hotel is locked to only 1 diving agency which is at capacity so i had to find my own operator. hiring a scooter was equally difficult. the staff just wanted the guests locked into thier resturant and facilities. will never return due to food posioning and mosquitos by the pool at sunset.
