Review 5：Nice place to say, huge rooms with comfy beds and awesome views, a little bit tired looking but still lovely.The one bedroom suite was better than the two bedroom suite, which was a little bit dark and didn't have the sea views. Breakfast was okay but not amazing in comparison to other similar hotels e.g. Twin Palms. Best part is that it's attached to the beach clubs bimi and Catch on surin beach, so ideal place if you want to hang out down there... though twin palms also offer this service.

Review 6：The staff were fantastic, until the day I left. I had an early morning flight, and booked a taxi for 5:30am (for 7am flight). Called the front desk to send a buggy up at 5:15am to pick me and my luggage up, but waited for 15 minutes and it still wasn't here. I called back the front desk multiple times, no one picked up, called the tour booking desk, no one picked up, and franticlaly was dialing random numbers for 10 minutes until I reached someone at housekeeping. By now it was 5:40am and you can imagine how nervous I was as on Phuket island you can't ever estimate travelling time if there is traffic. I didn't leave until almost 6am! I was furious that the front desk is not manned 24 hours a day, and there was no proper back up for guests taking early morning flights given the 5 star status of this resort. The resort is by the main road, and although we were halfway up the hill with a view, we could still hear the noise and see the road which ruined the tranquility of the resort. The resort also feels quite packed, due to the fact that it is on the hill. (I was at the Vijitt the few days previous to this, and it was very spacious there, but no beach).

Review 7：The view is amazing. The rooms were so luxurious. The spa was a very relaxing spa, with a little Japanese garden in your own spa room. Very close to the beautiful Surin beach, which is not packed with too many visitors.

Review 8：The breakfast not up to standard for a 5 star hotel. The chef didnt understand what was called sunny side up cos for 5 days, my egg were always overcooked and dry instead of runny despite me giving them instructions.

The rooms are stunning, spacious and very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, location is perfect, and the food at the restaurant was superb. Highly recommend it.

Review 28：The only thing is that the jacuzzi in the room only has cold water! It's a very silly idea to have frizzing water in a jacuzzi that could be amazing at night. At the end you never use it because it's cold. A pity.

Review 33：I was really impressed with this hotel right from the beginning. We arrived and were greeted with a big friendly smile from an English speaking receptionist. They took our suitcases straight to the room. We were given some soft cold wet flannels upon arrival . Very refreshing after a long journey from UK. Receptionist brought us up to our room and showed us around. We had the junior suite. Very impressive. Huge bed. Outdoor spa bath and indoor shower. Both with rainfall shower head. Jacuzzi on the terrace aswell. Amazing views from the terrace and room of the beach (which they offer complimentary ride to). Just amazing I would love to stay here again. We came here on our honeymoon. We couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you so much for making our stay here so memorable.

Review 34：The only thing we didn't like is that the jacuzzi in the villa doesn't have hot water! It's private, has amazing views and would be the perfect way to end the way but with the cold water we didn't get to enjoy it much…silly mistake!

Review 35：Great service since the arrival, friendly and smily. The place is beautiful and quiet and the villas are beautiful, with Thai decoration, privacy, great views…you feel in the middle of the jungle! The breakfast buffet is amazing, with large variety of western and asian food, home made waffles and fresh fruit. The pool is relaxing and beautiful and it's all very clean. We stayed 4 nights but would have stayed much longer!

Review 36：They don't big themselves up enough in their online copy. For example it says that guests 'have access to' the swimming pool, which implies that they don't own it. Of course they do - it is part of the resort, and a lovely place to hang out.

Review 37：Everything. The garden in particular is delightful, with beautifully tended tropical planting that showed real attention and skill on the part of the gardeners. This is full of lovely places to stop and pause, with lily ponds and pagodas. The spa was totally professional and classy. I loved the touches in the bedroom, with flowers on every last piece of towel and linen - it all looked gorgeous. The outdoor shower was possibly the best shower I've ever experienced and the breakfast is delicious, with lots of choice - eggs florentine and freshly squeezed juices made to order. This is a small and exclusive resort, with a feeling of space for everyone. Loved it.

The location closes to Surin Beanch, the sea is much cleaner than Patong and many beaches in Phuket Island, the and is also better, you can find many bars or club near beach. The breakfast combines some common thiland food, chinese sepcific food and some western food, those taste well, the staff are very nice.

The hotel is a 5-10 min walkto the beach strip, and the hotel came with free membership access tothe 2 best beach clubs on the beach strip (catch beach club and bimibeach club). Free buggy service from the room to the reception or downon to the beach and back. Hotel has free wifi as do the 2 beach clubs.Rooms were cleaned and bedding changed pretty much on demand. Rooms areprovided with anti mosquito 'vapes'. Its a 30 min ride to Patong(500 baht), 40 min to the airport (700 baht) by (proper) taxi. Wearranged the hotel pickup from the airport when we arrived for 1200baht. Checkout is at 12:00, but you can go to the beach and hotel willkeep your luggage and give u access to their spa changing room andshower after ur done at the beach. Do it

The hotel offers excellent facilites and it's in close walking distance to surin beach where there is lots of good cafes and restaurants. Review 80：Having travelled all around Thailand for the last 15 years I had noticed the Ayara on the hill but only in passing during stays at other resorts. The resort manages to provide the excellent Thai service to a very high standard, without being to formal. We misplaced a wallet containing over £1500 in various currencies and my driving licence. We thought we had left it in our room but could not be sure as we had used it earlier to hire a car. The hotel had not found it but undertook a thorough search after we left the room. They contacted our next hotel in Railay to say they had found it in our safe after we left. We have no idea what happened but we are sure it was not in the safe as it is one space and was easy to see that it was empty when we left. That said we called back to the Ayara while passing Phuket and the wallet was returned with all contents and monies to the penny. Excellent service as we were resigned to it being lost ! Our room 843 (grand delux suite) was positioned about half way up the hill and had great views. Would definitely recommend this resort and we are planning a return visit.

Review 106：Location of the hotel isn't really worth money paid! it is set right on the side of the road full of cars. Between the pool and the road is the bamboo fence and a side walk behind. Hotel doesn't have it's own beach!!!! Hotel it self is very good, with very good service! but.. as soon as you leave the hotel to go to the beach, you get into facilities of maximum 2 stars, or even less. Ayara is renting few places in the local beach, with local service. On the beach there is no representative of the hotel! you are "taken care of" by locals.As soon as you get to the beach and start to "enjoy" it's service-you regret money paid for the hotel!!! The total price should be half less!

Review 107：the hotel it self is very good. Restaurant, bungalows, service,territory... I would advice to demand bungalows or rooms, which are set higher on the hills, the territory is more beautiful there.

Review 108：Noise from road which could be heard from the poolside, and our own balcony. We could see hydro wires from our unit. Initially disappointed that we did not have direct access to the beach, although after the first day, we enjoyed the resort facilities so much the distance from the beach did not seem to matter.

Review 119：The privacy on many rooms is quite poor, as many big windows (e.g. those in the bathrooms) can be well looked into from walkways and the sound isolation between twin suites is rather poor. The beach club "Twin Brothers" on Surin Beach for complimentary use by resort guests is sub-standard compared to the resort, other beach clubs would have been a far more appropriate choice.

Review 120：Nice location in the hills overlooking Surin and Bangtao Beach, good shuttle service around the steep resort premises. Excellent breakfast buffet and good housekeeping twice per day. Open spaces are well maintained with lots of different flowers and trees. Room in good condition, everything looks well.

The view we had was just spectacular of the hills and beaches.The room is on the top of the hill and the buggy service was very quick.No more than a couple min wait. The buggy also took us to the beachwhere there was chair, towel and umbrella already set. The breakfast waswonderful. Piece of thailand, europe and us. We loved this place andcant wait to go back. This place made all my friends and family jealous.

Review 123：The rooms were very nice. My room had an outdoor deck overlooking thebeach and sun lounges on the deck. My partner and I enjoyed lying downon the sun lounges and reading our books. Also really liked how therooms had private outdoor showers. The landscaping of the gardens aroundthe rooms was very nice. The pool was great and you could ordercocktails there. Staff were very friendly and gave excellent service.

The staff were excellent; a different staff member for every drink ordered :) Rooms were spectacular, Breakfast buffet excellent, Pool/Bar area excellent I can not fault Ayara in any way. Would not recommend as I want it all to myself!
