Reviews for Baanfai Guesthouse

Review 1:Bad Surrounding.

Review 2:Good location, located in centre area of the town. Staffs and the owner are very very nice. Good quality Thai cotton cloth shop at the lobby.

Review 3:The wifi can connevt, but can't work in the room. And, the slow boat transportation tour I booked there has so many trick inside. The breakfast is expensive.

Review 4:The location is right in the center.

Review 5:We booked 3 months on advance and when we arrive the staff without check the booking say than they don't have the room and tried overpriced other (more than the double price) when we say no suddenly they have other....we booked a double room with private bathroom and we finish in a triple room with shared toilet!!!!! Don't book in advance, is a town for cross the border with plenty of bb/backpackers than not appear in internet but cheaper and with most helpful staff.

Review 6:Clean and in the center but is just one street where are all the backpackers

Review 7:The price is good for what you get. The guesthouse is clean and cozy. The WiFi works and there is a nice opportunity for breakfast. Also centrally located. It will take a while though to get to the new border crossing with Laos (not too long; I think about half an hour by tuktuk).

Review 8:Friendly owners

Review 9:Friendly staff, location, clean rooms

Review 10:On the far north end of things in town and whoa tiny bathrooms.

Review 11:Friendly staff, nice rooms with balconies, and a comfortable bed.

Review 12:sharing bathroom

Review 13:confortable bed and good wifi

Review 14:Very far to the border ( Tourist border crossing has moved to the Friendship Bridge )

Review 15:Nice place. Very helpful owner

Review 16:No food available at night Noisy airco outside room

Review 17:Pick up and dropp off to new border crossing

Review 18:The coffee served was bad. They tried to sell us a package but they didn't offered us to call a tuk tuk for the next morning. By chance, the Bamboo Mexican restaurant offered us the service and we took our sandwichs there for the boat ride.

Review 19:The room was very nice and, during the day, you can open the window (they have screens). They have TV5 and it is well located.

Review 20:The staff take me a lot of money to drive me to the border Nothing around and a lot of noise, I was wake up at 6:30 by people on the street and found geiko on my wall

Review 21:Value for price is ok

Review 22:-breakfast at their cafè might be not the nest option: expensive and in small portions. However there's an adiacent cheap restaurant which is nice and recommendable. We had a very simple and pleasant dinner there!

Review 23:+the right place for an overnight in Chiang Khong: cheap, basic and simple +easy to find, right behind the property's cafè on the main (and only) street, just where Google Maps indicates. Coming by bus from Chiang Mai/Rai don't take the tuk tuk -if you are not to heavily packed: it's just a 15' walk along the main road, 2-300m past the 7-11 on the right

Review 24:En suite bathroom was very small, couldn't physically shower without straddling the toilet seat. Staff in hotel next door were particularly drunk and noisy in the car park right outside our room after 1am.

Review 25:Guest house had good street appeal, We had to stay overnight before crossing the border so was more through necessity rather than choice but had a bed and clean-(ish) sheets, and wifi, all you require for an overnight stop.

Review 26:noisy farm yard next door and the hardest bed I have ever slept on! seriously I think the floor would have been the same.

Review 27:cute little rooms, and liked Chiang Khong a lot

Review 28:My comment is about a single room with shared bathroom - the bed was very uncomfortable and very noisy (parking just outside my window).

Review 29:It has a very nice area/cafe outside.
