Reviews for Izu Imaihama Tokyu Hotel
Review 1:This hotel is only working for family holiday, not thinking about one person stay. The room occupied rate is very low due to the off-peak season, 99.9% rooms are facing to the beach. However the hotel still gave me the smallest room(NO. 625) which is totally opposite of the main building since they think I am only one person check in. You paid the same price as the other customer, but be arranged in the tiny room looks like the maid room. Obviously nobody can stay comfortable in such room. You almost cannot turn around with the luggage in the room. It is the worst experience in Japan.
Review 2:A very nice hotel with onzen, right on a lovely beach. A very short walk from the train station, and an enjoyable 20 minute walk along a pathway (some stairs required) into the town of Kawazu where there are restaurants and markets. We recommend taking the bus in Kawazu to see the Seven Falls!
Review 3:NA
Review 4:Beach is super good , but it is pity to not swim in the pool . The weather is too cold . Hot spring is good. The bed and pillow is super comfortable.
Review 5:Service is bad. About cleanliness and comfort, like almost all hotels, its on the average. I've been with a wife and a 9y/old kid, but Its not worth paying almost $350/night breakfast and dinner not included. Where breakfast costs $30/head, and dinner with almost $100/head.
Review 6:None
Review 7:I really hoped to swim in the ocean but waves were too high and the beach didn't look like it's a beach for swimming, more just for a pretty view or for serfers.
Review 8:Close to the train station, good food, very clean
Review 9:Restaurants have to be booked for dinner in advance - although both restaurants we tried were pricey the food was amazing.
Review 10:Amazing view of the ocean from the rooms - great pool and lovely onsen. Staff had difficulties talking English but tried very hard.
Review 11:disappointed with quality of food in the restaurant and my husband got sick (gastro) which we suspect being caused by the meal, food and wine very expensive, and no other place to eat nearby. pity that the pool cannot be used in May even if temperature was high (this is same in all hotel in Japan I think, cannot understand why)
Review 12:sea view from the room, beach, garden, shuttle bus service, hot spring with sauna
Review 13:The hotel was in good location facing the beach and easy to reach by train. We like the on-sen room very much. The staff are very nice and good in english speaking and very helpful for suggestion. The WIFI in the room are very good too.
Review 14:- staff must learn a bit more english and price of hotels food is really high
Review 15:- near of a train station by walk - really a relaxing place - every room have a wonderfull view
Review 16:The hotel restaurants are expensive and the hotel is isolated so there are not many other options for meals.
Review 17:All the rooms have a private view from the balcony and the spa is very nice. Hotel is right on the beach.
Review 18:Beach quality. No gym. Pool number system. Pool hours. Loud PA system blasting all day over the beach. Short pool hours
Review 19:Hotel. Buffet dinner. Staff. Cleanliness. Friendly.
Review 20:While the booking said they spoke English no one, but one lady saying hello spoke English. To be fair I was with a Japanese friend, but no attempt to interact with me. And, to be labeled 'we speak your language' none of the print material including resort menus were in English. The staff were not very forthcoming with local eateries either. None of these howeve would keep me from going back.
Review 21:The hotel sits on an exclusive beach, there are no other hotels on the beach. The town it sits in is small and quiet. On our way to the hotel the shuttle bus driver told us the busy times of the hot springs to avoid. However, we never experienced more than row or three others at the most each time we went, busy or not. It's a perfect get away to experience a beautiful beach and a little of local small town Japan.
Review 22:Perfect location, fabulous onsen.
Review 23:Breakfast was very expensive
Review 24:Staff, views, room. Lovely
Review 25:The view of the ocean from the balcony was great. We liked being able to open the sliding door and let fresh air into the room.
Review 26:environment the sea view from the room very nice and kind staffs
Review 27:Some of the facilities closed a little early, though staff offered flexibility and tried to accommodate our requests as best they could
Review 28:Very friendly staff and provided flexibility beyond the usually strictly adhered to rules that are common at other hotels in Japan. Lovely sandy private beach right in front of the hotel. Excellent value for money.
Review 29:Speaking of within Japan, it is a perfect resort style hotel with private beach, pool, onsen and massage salons. Several restaurants were open despite little guests as we went off season. We enjoyed all, the see, the pool, the onsen. And outdoor bath, massage and their little playroom in rain.
Review 30:It was a little pricey but that's to be expected in a resort area.
Review 31:The location and facilities were wonderful.
Review 32:The staff are not good at English.
Review 33:Perfect location, friendly staff, good service.
Review 34:Piped music
Review 35:No WiFi in the Room. They only provide internet in their lobby.
Review 36:Most of the things are above average.
Review 37:The pool was closed Restaurant choices
Review 38:Nice resort
