Review 1：A bit overpriced, would be better with breakfast included. Bathroom very dark. Difficult to see shower floor.

Review 11：The first room we were showed had a really bad drain smell. There are major building works going on in front and behind he hotel, which mean if you want to lie in/nap in the afternoon you really can't. If they were finished I would stay again at the hotel, it's a good place - tho I wouldn't return to Surin Beach/Phuket, it's beautiful but tacky and touristy - depends on what you want from Thailand, I don't want a beach packed with umbrellas, sarong vendors and a strip of tailor shops and bars blasting loud music onto the beach.

Review 12：Lovely room - we were upgraded from the basic room we booked. The room was really nice, clean, small but unusable balcony. Clearly some thought has been put into making the rooms feel nice. Located v close to beach so easy to walk down - 100m.

Review 17：During our stay there were roadworks leading upto and in front of the hotel entrance making it dusty, noisy and a little dangerous (traffic) during the day. The restaurant wasn't operational and the hotel had the feel of coming out of winterisation.

Review 33：On checkout they converted the credit card payment to GBP which I was not happy about. They said they couldn't refund the credit card so I could pay cash. Working in the Travel Industry for over 20 years I knew this was incorrect, after lots of threats they credited my card in GBP and recharged the amount in Thai Baht. This incident spoilt the whole experience at this property and I would not stay there again on principle.

Review 34：My second visit in two months and very happy again! Very helpful staff and brilliant location - two minutes away from the beach, restaurants and massage salons.

Review 35：The choice of breakfast is so poor. Only sunny side up, omelette or scrambled eggs could be ordered with ham, bacon or sausage. After a couple of mornings all the varieties was tried out, got bored. Some more fruits on the table, almost nothing more. The windows were very dusty, the roof bar was ruined and never cleaned. They had an offer, cocktails for a reduced price, but it was not mentioned that they didn't include the VAT in the price. With the VAT the price of the cocktail is not that fascinating any more.

Review 36：The hotel is situated in a calm (not that calm) street, nearby the beach. Good place to start the sightseeing from. The staff are really kind, nice and polite. Good price / value ratio. Room is well equipped, and the size was good for two pers.

Review 41：This place is way too overpriced for what it is. It should only have 1 or 2 stars max! The rooms are old, dated, the bathrooms are terrible with pealing paint and mould. The water pressure is terrible - its like a soft dribble. This place should only be $30 - $50 a night max -- it is marginally 1 step above a hostel.

Also transportation are bad in Phuket, the meter-taxi's are driven away by "illegal" operators called taxi-service, wich charge way to much just cause there the "only" option. Better rent a motorbike.

Review 60：I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Asia and expect hard beds but these are like mortuary slabs! The first night I had to check there was a mattress and not a sheet on the bed frame it was so hard. After 3 nights we were sore. I slept on top of the spare duvet from the cupboard to try to make it less hard. Also we were there out of season and it was very quiet. The roof bar and pool were shut and one night we were definitely the only people in the whole hotel. As the sea is so rough in June and July - great for surfing but not swimming - the pool was more vital than in season when the sea is calm and you can swim in it. Shame Also the battery in the safe died meaning we couldn't use it. Food was also fairly expensive - much cheaper and busier to eat at the beach restaurants. Recommend the Sea Breeze - excellent Thai food (and Burgers for the Expats it seemed)

Review 74：Nice surprise - we were upgraded to a suite. (That is how it exceeded myexpectations). Clean room. Wifi worked fine. Computers with Internetaccess in lobby, free of charge. Walking distance to beach. Taxi stationacross the street.
