Review 1：The restaurant closes quit early each evening. Also, I wasn't able to book a table in the Restaurant for NYE anymore as they were fully booked, but mot of those Restaurant guests weren't even Hotel guest, so I think Hotel guests should be served first.

Review 3：The Design of the hotel was unique and made a luxury impression. The room was very modern, stylish and clean. The personnel was very friendly and they were fleixible about the check out time. The breakfast area was very comfortable and the breakfast itself had everything you can wish for, including processco :) we were definitly the youngest (27 years), but the hotel was visited by a great crowed. The price value is very good.
Review 4：room ventilation system was on whole time (could not switch it off) and kept me awake. No drink making facilities or hotel information in the room. Shower did not drain fast enough so flooded the bathroom. Key card worked in room door, but did not open the hotel front door - had to knock on the window or phone the hotel to be let in at night. Were not able to fix it. Breakfast not good: cold scrambled eggs, undercooked bacon every day and stale bread on the last day.

Review 6：Breakfast - uncomfortably noisy and conjested when busy; scrambled eggs cool and not pleasant to eat; limited selection of fruit. Room- we were in 303, in the eaves. Very hot; bed far too soft which made it impossible to sleep through the night; toiletries insufficient and not of a high quality. Commendable that hotel does not want waste but it might work better if shampoo, conditioner, bath gels were provided through a dispenser attached to wall. Staff- girls at breakfast pleasant otherwise other staff could benefit from some training on how to make guests feel welcome. A genuine smile costs nothing. I would not recommend this hotel as it is presently managed but believe with some attention to detail standards would rise quickly and easily.

Review 28：The same employee in the front desk and the restaurant were not value for money for the restaurant itself. At the front desk he inform how to cheat in the P-garage. In the restaurant he forgets the starter. Not good cleaning in the room, dust on the lamps day one.

Very noisy due to traffic and garbage collection at 5 AM. Unpleasant and not useful staff. Very difficault to find parking. It is not a 4 stars hotel. Will not stay there again.

Review 34：Good location in the heart of Alkmaar, very friendly staff. My room was spacious, very comfortable bed and quiet. Menu was limited, but this is often a good thing and it was, the food was very fresh and well presented and tasted delicious.

Review 38：The hotel is brilliantly situated right in the heart of the old town of Alkmaar and within a moments walk of the many bars and restaurants and also the main shopping area as well as the famous cheese museum and the other delights of this charming town. The hotel has obviously only recently been refurbished and is very smartly furnished in a contemporary style which blends well with the historic feel of the building itself. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, the decoration, furnishings and curtains were stylish and new. The bathroom was also very smart and again spotless. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and no niceties like boxes of tissues etc but the rate was very reasonable so it is not a cause for complaint. Breakfast was included in our rate and was excellent. We would happily stay there again.

Review 45：Open bathroom in the room in which we stayed, which is nice for a couple, but as friends you might want some privacy when showering. No trashcan in (separate) toilet. Some cracks in the walls and sloppy finishings in an otherwise very nicely designed room. Keep in mind that on Saturdays the rooms in the front will be noisy due to the market being set up very very early in the morning.

Review 47：It didn't have a car park and was in a pedestrian area. Hotel staff were not helpful in suggesting alternative parking, though a local shopkeeper was. Throw on bed was both torn and stained. We were there at the weekend and were disturbed by noise in the early hours of the morning.

Review 53：Hotel internet connection setup was difficult to make because of cookies prerequisites. After successful set up of the internet connection, the next day the hotel internet connection could not recognise my device anymore and continued to complain about cookies. I don't understand why the hotel made internet connection so complicated that it would be difficult for some devices to connect. By the way, I use and iPhone 5s and never had any connectivity issues before.

Review 55：We would not recommend this hotel as the parking is abysmal. We wereasked where we had parked our car, and we said in the carpark roundthe corner, and he said it was ok until 12 noon the next day. We wokeup in the morning to find a market in the street and on looking forour car were told it had been towed away. This cost us over 200 Euros.The staff were unsympathetic, saying it was our fault. No compensationwas offered.

Review 57：We were impressed by the unique character of the architecture,the building and the decor;all the rooms seemed to be individually designed and although ours was only a standard room the bathroom was huge and the bed really comfortable.A variety of fresh fruit,croissants and smoked salmon ensured that breakfast was rather special and the sea bass, woodcock and wine at dinner were superb.
Review 58：The breakfast Room was too small for the amount of guests & Inder staffed.The receptionist seemed uninterested in his Job. The room was really noisey, we woke up with the Kids next door at 6:30 am. The room 201 seemed to have its own moskito nest , perhaps from under the shower which completely leaked into the carpet. The place is stylish but not maintained.
