Review 1：No real bad experience except maybe that the water wasn't replenished in the room on a daily basis, but that is hardly a complaint at all. Since a main road is nearby it can be a bit noisy if facing the front of the building.

Review 2：The location was great, easy to walk to the parts of Varese that we were interested in seeing. Getting to Sacre de Monte was really easy on public transit that stopped practically outside the hotel. Loved the mini refrigerator in the room. Nice chairs out front to sit in outside and enjoy a beverage. People were very friendly and helpful.

Review 3：We have stayed in the Art Hotel several times while travelling to and from Italy and have always loved our visits here. Last year we met friends from Varese here for a meal and they were very impressed too. We recommended it to our daughter, who used to live and work in Varese and her husband a couple of years ago and they stayed longer than they had booked because they enjoyed it so much. The decor is particularly notable - very modern and contemporary which we love. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff are lovely and welcoming and the restaurant serves some of the best food we have eaten in Italy. The presentation and choice are wonderful. We can't fault it it any way !

Review 8：Loved Nicole and rest of the staff. Everyone is so pleasant and helpful. Also enjoyed the breakfast. When they ran out if scrambled eggs, they would make more hot fresh extra eggs. Also remembered my son liked 'cold' milk and would have it ready for him. We had missed our connection flight so we got in a day later. Nicole was kind to book our one night out so we were able to get a credit for the night we missed because of our extra one day late arrival.

Review 9：There was nothing I didn't like.

Review 10：We are a couple with 6 yr old daughter traveling with another couple and their son. They gave us a lovely triple and double room connecting to each other on the 2nd floor. The hotel was in a great central location and a quick 5 minute walk to the centre where we found tons of restaurants and gelato bars! The hotel staff were absolutely amazing- Nicole and Allesandro as well as all the other staff were professional, friendly and really wonderful. The hotel has a great atmosphere and lovely breakfast as well. You really feel like your part of the Italian life staying there. We ate at a great Italian pizzeria called Fabbrica pizza. It was a great spot to go to excursions to the lakes and also a quick drive to Sacro Monte. It was only. 15 min drive to lake Varese where we did a 28 km bike ride around lake Varese. It was a bit challenging fyi be you have to go on a few streets off the bike path a few times. Wonderful hotel and would definitely stay there if we ever return to Varese! Highly recommend it.

Review 11：Front desk gave us terrible advice (although google map didn't help) on how to get to Lucca. But really, the place is terrific.

Review 12：Stayed here first night after flying in to Milan, jet lagged. Such a comfortable spot with excellent restaurant for a no-fuss first night dinner. We picked it to be near the incomparable Panza villa--a must for contemporary art fans.

Review 27：When my wife and I stayed for one night on the 8th September the breakfast, the following morning, was disappointing - especially after such a good dinner the evening before. Some of the items hadn't been re-stocked following earlier 'sittings' and the breakfast staff, unlike the dinner staff who had been very good, were rather disinterested and not very welcoming (perhaps just having an 'off' day?)

Review 28：Interestingly designed hotel in large and private grounds; ample parking space. Large bedroom and bathroom - both very clean and modern but perhaps a little minimalistic in design. Reception was friendly and helpful. Dinner was very good indeed -interesting menu and nicely presented meal served by pleasant staff. Centre of Varese about 10 to 15 minutes walk.

Review 40：When I read reviews about the staff and how helpful and friendly they are, I didn't pay much attention. This was an oversight on my part. They staff is simply terrific and helped us in so many ways. From tracking down lost luggage to providing recommendations and information on local sights. Helped with laundry and something to eat between meals. And yes also the dogs! So sweet and eased our missing our own doggies. The hotel hosted several events during our stay and we often came home later in the evening, purchase a beer from the bar and sat outside enjoying the live music playing at the event.

Review 82：First room that was prepared for us, was probably the worst room in the hotel... Very noisy from the nearby street. Noisy heating, and no extractor fan in the toilet, with a window that was not operating.. They offered a quiet room, on the other side of the hotel, with no extra bed, so three of us had to share a king bed. Next morning around 7:30, extreme disturbance, from the house keeping staff, right outside our door and an extremely loud noise, probably coming from the heating pipes, right above our room. The staff, finally offered a third room at the top of the hotel, spacious and looking incredible! I think, that the policy is, to keep the wonderful rooms for the regular customers and not for those coming through booking com. There is no porter service.

A highlight was sitting outside in the garden in the early evening with a glass of white wine. Location is good, about 5 minutes walk from the pedestrianised old city. And there is parking in the hotel grounds.

Review 92：Spacious room. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. On site restaurant & bar gracious & good. Breakfast buffet generous, good quality. Location is 3 blocks uphill from large variety of restaurants, pasticceria, chocolate boutiques, panificios, picturesque walking in town. Very nice grounds; private garden behind wall. Good parking.

Review 93：The large building site right behind the hotel which was a total eyesoreand created a lot of dust . The restaurant was shut for 3 weeks at whatsurely must be one of their busiest times of the year and the lack offully functioning air conditioning in the rooms which was so noisy wehad to ask reception to turn it off and slept with the window open butmeant we had to suffer the noisy road which is next to the hotel. Therewere no wardrobes to hang things in( we had a deluxe room) and becausethe room was at the top of the hotel the windows were either veluxe inthe ceiling or high up in the eves so you couldn't look out at all.Breakfast was ok. But I believe the website photos make the hotel lookmuch smarter than it really is. In my opinion the reception area isquite tatty.

The proximity to the centre of Varese isexcellent a 10 minute walk from the hotel with very upmarket shoppingand good choice of restaurants and bars and about 30 minute drive tolake maggiore and even closer to Sacro Monte . lots of free parkingonsite. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious andbathroom large and modern.

We used it essentially as a jumping off points for the North Italian Lakes and for that purpose it was ideal. Varese itself is a town well worth visiting and as it's only an hour away from Milan, is very useful in that respect too.
