Review 1：Small locker room compared to large swimming pool.

Review 3：Because of the age of the facility there were many problems on the last night of our stay, the lighting system and heating system went mad but it was too late to make amends we could only sleep with all the lights on

Review 5：Very noisy, there was a huge large screen (approx 30 ft x 15 ft) playing movies all day. We weren't able to enjoy the pool or our balcony because of the noise from the movies on the TV.

Review 6：Service could be better at the pool side bar. We bought a bottle of wine and we had to pour it ourselves. We saw other customers where the staff was pouring for them.

Review 7：The service is top notch. Expect to be bowed by at least 5 hotel staff before you make it to the lobby. The garden, the pool, the trails, the band and access to the beach are just wonderful. You will not be disappointed. This is just the best place to stay if you want to relax and be pampered.

Review 8：Too many kids and families, the pool was basically a kindergarten... Not very relaxing and very crowded. Gazebos,pods, and ventilated seats on poolside are highly charged by hour, not convenient considering price per night... This part was disappointing.

Review 9：Hotel facilities can entertain anyone, if the weather is bad you can just spend the day in the hotel and enjoy it. Location is near a nice entertaining plaza with restaurants and museums. Staff is very friendly and service is really high level.

Review 14：The prices at the pool bar are outrageous. Why on earth is everything so expensive? We were disappointed to learn that the hamburgers are cooked from frozen (not even defrosted patties) so the only option is to cook them well-done!? For non-Koreans that is just unacceptable. The rooms should be renovated, need more adjoining room options for families.

Review 15：The staff at the hotel are extremely polite and very nice. We really like the location and the size of the Shilla hotel on Jeju. It has a rich feeling, and the outside areas are really nicely groomed. The beachfront area is also quite nice and the public areas of the hotel are also very presentable.

Review 30：This was my second time at The Shilla Jeju and I would definitely stay again. Everything was fantastic but most especially the location and the food. The best bit is the private beach house down by the shore but the outside jacuzzi was pretty amazing as well. I would recommend doing one of the tours. Great for everyone and nearby to some of Jeju's attractions.

Review 31：Rooms in the old wing could use a face-lift; they are becoming a bit worn and dated. Not all rooms have balconies and some that do have a concrete wall enclosing them. Ask for a room in the new wing and for a balcony with an open railing if this matters to you.

Review 37：A beautiful property with immaculate service from the staff right from front desk, concierge and their 3 restaurants. All of the staff are very friendly, approachable and willing to assist in request or enquiries being seek. No language issue in terms of spoken English here. Rooms are meeting my expectations as I am on holiday and usually back towards late evening. Setback limited English channels with only CNN and BBC plus occasionally some English movies shown. This property is pricey but I feel very at home here with the service level shown by the staff here. The other great things is Park View Restaurant had a great sumptuous buffet spread for Breakfast and dinner. Food quality is excellent needless to said the service was excellent. This is one property I will be coming again in due course.

Review 40：The bed was very firm. Very, very firm. We ended up sleeping on top of the down comforter they gave us, just to make it bearable. All of the restaurants were near or over $100 per person. If you walked 10 minutes into town, you could get the same menu for $50 or less.

Review 41：We loved that the resort was pretty much all inclusive. Having breakfast at the buffet was probably the best purchase of our trip. Waking up to classical music and bird song from our balcony was a great way to wake up. The in-to-outdoor pool was a great hit with our child, and the private beach was wonderful. The local attractions are all within easy walking distance; teddy bear museum, chocolate land, Ripley's believe it or not, restaurants, market, and gardens.

Review 44：transportation around Jeju is a challenge if you are not in the city, Shilla Jeju is more of a resort themed with casino build within this hotel, I did not know of that I until I checked in. Not a casino person, so not much of a attraction to me. The food in the restaurants are expensive.

Coffee and tea service is not in time for breakfast .Casino business makes the hotel more business type ,not like the real resource for holiday !

Review 56：Lovely hotel to relax and enjoy family time. Beautiful pool both inside and outside, friendly and professional staff. Good size rooms and luxury bathrooms. Great buffets, international style, japanese and korean. Maybe not so fit for wheelchairs as the hotel is on top of a rocky coast and it takes a few stairs down to reach the beach.(7 minute walk)

Review 63：I stood for a long time at the reception counter with a baby and toddler waiting to be checked-in. There was a lady free but she just stood beside another server, nodding away at a customer. Then she finally asked me what I wanted and then she checked me in. I asked her if she had been busy as I had waited a long time and she apologised but I still felt it was far from 5 star service.

Review 70：Incorrect phone number in jeju government website caused us detoured for one hour drive. It stated 733XXXX when it should be 738XXXX. Pool Dance Performance on the side of swimming pool is a bit too much.

But on a relative basis, the Shilla Jeju was notin my opinion the best value for money as it was expensive and thefacilities, room (I stayed in the old wing) and the food/drinks wereinferior to what I would have enjoyed for a similar price in anotherarea, such as Bali.
