Review 2：Alexandre le proprio nous a immédiatement mis à l'aise et nous avons passé un très beau séjour . Avons adoré la terrasse ombragé et l'excellent petit déjeuner. Chambre simple, confortable et calme. Beaucoup mieux qu'un hotel 3 ou 4 étoiles impersonnel. . L'empressement d'Alexandre et ses aides fait la différence.À recommander sans hésitation.
Review 3：Having lived in Portugal for 26 years I knew what to expect from this hotel and I was not disappointed. The slightly old fashioned rooms and basic facilities are more than compensated for by the overwhelming helpfulness of the staff, the charming garden terrace and superb breakfast. Portuguese hospitality at its best and I will certainly return.
Review 4：The facilities, the location, the delicious and abundant breakfast, the excellent staff, the welcoming hotel owner. They make you feel at home and you always want to come back.
Review 5：The beds are not very confortable and you can hear noises from the other rooms in your room. Plus the pool is bit far away from the hotel. Also not handicap accessible.

Review 14：A plaque in Reception says the place was built in 1974. I think my bathroom was original; I can recall the tapware being popular in the 1970s. I could never get decent hot water; the best I got was warm and it took an age to arrive, whatever time of day I tried. Cold water was always a trickle. I ate dinner once; the sole diner in a large room. An eerie experience. The vegetables were over-boiled. I imagined I could squeeze half a pint of water out of the brocolli. There are two buildings. The original 1974 at the front and another, more recent, behind. There is car parking beneath the second building. Beware walking to your car via the "garden". There is very limited clearance, perhaps 5 feet, lighting is poor and it is easy to crack your head as you pass beneath the second building.
Review 15：I didn't like much about this place and would not recommend it to others. The bed was comfortable; breakfast was adequate although the coffee seemed "muddy". The Hotel did supply me boiling water so I could make my own hot drinks. They also changed a €500 note.
Review 16：The Family Room was dark and dingy, smelt damp, if you sit on the toiletyour legs are under the sink. The hot water came out brown. Breakfastcheap and nasty. The photos on the website are taken of the swimmingpool in the village and not at the hotel. Very misleading and not in ourview a pleasant place to stay.

We would like to point outthe very confortable and beautiful porch in this hotel where we enjoyedsome relaxing moments! The breakfast was great, with tasty and homemadepastry and jam! The hotel is located in the heart of Caldelas, a smalland cosy village, in one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in thenorth of Portugal (National Park Peneda-Gerês), where we can enjoy hoursand hours of relaxing time in thermal facilities and in the municipalswimming pool.
Review 21：The building is in need of updating and would benefit from some form of heating other than the electric radiator provided. Bathroom cramped.
