Review 1：Short on cutlery. No bread and carving knife.

Review 2：We had a wonderful time at Garden retreat. The villa was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the bird life and gardens. We hired a car so it made it easier to get around to the supermarkets and beaches. Fresh bread daily! Private swimming pool! Serviced daily. Staff very friendly.Great stay!

Review 4：every morning I got fresh baguette, nice people, comfortable homeware, near from beach&mart(about 3min) Grand-baie in 10minutes by bus. It was awesome !!!

Review 5：Everybody will probably not like the establishment. As a self catering for our purposes it is excellent. We stayed in Hibiscus. Own yard, swimming pool, bedroom and bathroom seperate from kitchen and living area. Clean and well stocked.

Review 6：The lack of Mosquito nets/covers for the windows. Having said that, I’ve never stayed at a place that offer them.

Review 7：It is a short (10 min) walk to a Pereybere beach and another 3 minutes to a supermarket. Several restaurants are also close by. The accommodation itself was clean, and every morning it was serviced. The terrace allowed for a perfect place to eat and chill outside while there are also two swimming pools to choose from. The nighttime guard was an additional benefit for emergencies, especially as we were travelling with our 10-month old boy. We were also kindly supplied with a cot/play den and a high chair.

Review 8：Our only, minor complaint was that the morning baguette arrived too late. We were gone most mornings by 8 am. It would have been wonderful if it had arrived by 7 or 7.30am.

Review 11：Bungalow agréable, avec tout le confort. Bien équipé, varangue pour manger dehors devant le jardin, lave-linge à disposition. Cuisine fonctionnelle avec tout le nécessaire pour préparer un repas. Eloigné de la rue, pas bruyant, sécurisé. La plage et les commerces de Pereybère ne sont qu'à quelques minutes de marche. Un arrêt de bus est tout proche.

Review 12：Lovely place, wonderful staff, perfect for families with little kids and 5 mins easy walk to a beautiful beach and huge supermarket. A little piece of paradise.

Review 17：The people at Gardens Retreat made our trip memorable. The security guard was very friendly and helpful. The cleaning ladies were adorable, playing with our 10months old son, and always very friendly. Georgina was great in helping us on excursions. She made a list of things to do, got us taxis and followed up on how the trip was the next day. Very helpful. We would love to come back and recommend anyone travelling to this area to consider Gardens Retreat.

Review 18：we have a private villa with its own garden and gates through to a really nice swimming pool. Everything we really needed in the kitchen so did our own catering as we felt like it. A real bonus to have a crispy fresh baguette delivered to your villa every morning :-) friendly staff who gave good advice on things to say and do. B

Review 19：Stains on the sofa (we bought a cover), no A/C in the L/R but working fans. Although almost new the property looks aged.

Review 20：The property is near Route Royale and very conveniently just few walking minutes from Pereybere Beach. Quiet apartment in lush tropical environment.

Review 23：I was so delighted when I came to my little apartment... the kitchen is quite well equiped. The room is tidy and clean. Bed is comfortable. Everything you need is there seriously!!! You just need to bring your own food and settle down. The staff is very kind and genuine. Everyday morning I see bread on my table even I didnt ask for it. I simply loved it. And definitely will choose here if I come again!

Review 26：We liked everything. If I need to mention a thing, the internet was actually a bit slow (but who needs it on a relaxing holiday) and the bed was actually quit hard, but you get used to that after a while.

Review 27：We had such a wonderful time here. The little house was marvelous and we enjoyed the garden with the patio very much. Shower was good, kitchen well equipped. Every day we received fresh bread in the morning and the staff was very helpful. We enjoyed it very much.

Review 29：There wasn't anything I didn't like, but to note if you using a tom tom gps- coordinates take to the road before and address on booking.com takes you to another area 10min up the road.

Review 31：1 bathroom for 2 bedroom apartment, cleaning not every day and not everything, basic things we had to buy ourselves which are normally included in service apartments, staff is not always available and have to look where you can find them, second day somebody from GBTT comes and tries to sell overpriced tours- we didnt take any and the person was not very happy at all

Review 33：We needed to hire a car as the beach and the shops are not really within walking distance.

Review 34：We loved our ground floor three-bedroomed apartment as it was so spacious with a separate laundry room with a washing machine and a separate room with a sink/dishwasher. The patio is huge and the surrounding gardens are beautifully kept. We also had an excellent Welcome Pack in the fridge and thought it was wonderful to receive the free French Sticks each day, delivered to your door. Georgina and Mr Toula (from GBTT) were extremely helpful.

Review 35：The booking is done through the tourism agency GBTT and they come to "welcome" you the following day after your arrival. Be very careful with them, as they'll try to sell you a lot of overpriced excursions and do not give what they promise (you'll feel that the sales man seems untrustworthy). We booked 2 excursions with them. In the first one, they didn't come to pick us on time after our sailing excursion, and we had to walk back to the bungalow (30 minutes). We found the driver half way and he told us he had gone to pick us up and we were not there (?) and that now he couldn't drive us because "he had things to do". In the second one, we were told that lunch wouldn't cost us more than 9€ (we were on a tight budget) and then they drove us to a restaurant serving 20€ menus (extremely overpriced for Mauritius). We hadn't even taken enough money with us. The excursions were lovely but we're sure that there are less dodgy companies out there that will provide a much better service for a better price.

Review 36：We stayed in "casse jaune", a 1 bedroom bungalow. The place is spotless clean an has all the necessary facilities for a very comfortable stay: spacious areas, super friendly staff, fully-furnished kitchen, comfy beds, perfect Wi-Fi and even a barbecue! There is a supermarket and the Peyrebere beach at 7 minutes walk or even less. The only thing that we'd change is to have been given a map of the area, as it is very easy to get lost. Otherwise the place is absolute perfection and we are sure to go back if we ever visit Mauritius again.

Review 38：Nice location with easy access to Grand Baie. Clean modern apt with patio...ideal for BBQ. Self catering facility was adequate with a large fully equipped kitchen. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Local supermarket and bars within walking distance. Highly recommended.

Review 51：Perfect place for a honeymoon! The apartment is peaceful and clean, with a cute pool. People are so friendly that they brought us bread every morning and gave advice to our schedule, which is a big help. Love this place!

Review 52：The location of apartments are close to the coast is just a bit hard to find it the first time. You have to turn right from the main street before reaching the pereybere beach, and then is a small board telling you to turn right inside again. We asked the locals for help and got to the destination after their help. I would also suggest to have your own car, since the tight roads are not really comfortable to walk around. (but that is a general suggestion valid for al Mauritius roads)

Review 53：We traveled as a family with a daughter of 3 years old. The apartment was great, with lovely patio, bbk, and a daily cleaning service. The garden is cute, full of green with a pool and seats to enjoy a relaxing moment next to the apartment. It was easy and efficient to arrange a babysitting for out daughter. We would defiantly recommend it for a family.

Review 54：I'had difficult to find the place. But is not a garden retreaterror. It was a booking.com mistake, so I had a wrong adress and a wrongtelephone number. I wrote to booking and the problem should be correct.But is not a garden retreat error
