Reviews for Lotte Hotel Jeju
Review 1:Too out of way to city
Review 2:Depends on what one wants to do. We did not have time to make use of any of the hotel amenities and restaurants around the resort were ex and not very nice
Review 3:- Outdated rooms - everything is expensive, and I always go outside to coffee shops to eat - They give one shampoo for 4 people !!
Review 4:- The water game - nice location with walking distance to some nearby attractions
Review 5:Overpriced, not good value for money. Unhelpful staff. Requested for double bed, given twin. When asked for change, they simply responded "oh today is full" but we found out later we are one of the few guests in our corridor. Heard Silla provide better service n value at similar or lower price.
Review 6:Big resort. Good duty free shop. Near amenities such as 7 eleven and third party restaurant.
Review 7:The staff are really nice and helpful. The Lotte Duty Free Shop is just on the sixth floor of the hotel, very convenient for shopping. The room is clean and cozy, and the bathroom is really spacious. One thing to mention: the buffet breakfast is the best one I have tried so far , so many food and amazing sea view.
Review 8:nothing.
Review 9:this was actually my second time coming to jeju. first time, i stayed at hyatt and it was bad. Lotte is like the biggest hotel in that area and there is a street lined with restaurants just turning left up a hill in the direction of the teddy bear museum. facilities are very good and there is both a 7-11 and GS25 nearby. there is also a popeye (chicken store yes), ice cream store and starbucks just outside the hotel xD Jungmun area is quite lively, with many good hotels around.
Review 10:Nearly missed our flight out when bell boy outside signalled us wrongly that incoming bus limousine was not going to the airport. What irked me was that his non apologetic attitude afterwards by simply stating to us that our bus limousine to airport will be 20 minutes later. Had to take a taxi to the airport instead.
Review 11:Generally very good services and have excellent hotel facilities.
Review 12:I think the wifi may be not that good, sometime cannt connect the network. Anyway, good experience in here
Review 13:Nice sea view, can see the garden in my room. Staff all nice and kindly, will choose it again next time
Review 14:there is no beach for the hotel. there is not variety in the restaurants there. the hotel is relativity expensive
Review 15:staff are speaking English and the are nice view form the room
Review 16:The room quality control is bad, door is broken even b4 using door card! (their employee even locked by the door for 20 mins) The manager can't give perfect reasons to explain and his English is poor! Only provide fruit service and can't really answer guest's question! I won't come back again and their hotel quality is far beyond Shilla ( please try Shilla you will definitely love it)
Review 17:Only one door boy sending luggage is perfect!
Review 18:Cleanliness, hotel is not 5 star, very old... We waited 3hours!!!! before our room was ready even though we arrived after 2pm checkin time.
Review 19:Location, beach, food quality, very good music in lobby every evening
Review 20:Love the Hello Kitty themed room, its every girl's dream!
Review 21:building is old and bed so small...
Review 22:service is good. but without duty free shop, the location is boring.
Review 23:Expensive...
Review 24:Nice scene, nice facilities, outdoor Swimming pool is perfect!
Review 25:Evreing
Review 26:Nothing
Review 27:Good location, lots of food options nearby outside the hotel
Review 28:Expensive restaurants Rooms are a bit dated
Review 29:overall ambience superb wonderful volvano show superb swimming pools and jacuzi
Review 30:Not alot of resturants nearby Old furniture
Review 31:Location
Review 32:comfortable bed; great duty free shop
Review 33:Wifi is somewhat unstable, the harbor view is not perfect but still OK.
Review 34:Great location, the best bar in Jeju.
Review 35:Charged me for nights I didn't cancel in advance.
Review 36:The facilties, such as indoor pool, etc.
Review 37:poor attending of the concierge or front staffs
Review 38:Price is a bit high, and the duty free shop is a bit noisy and messy.
Review 39:Staff in the hotel is perfect. The view of the hotel is great also.
Review 40:Pity food and drink are expensive. Think alot more people would eat within the hotel if this was the case. We ate one night in the Italian Restaurant and there was only 3 other couples there. its a real shame
Review 41:surrounding pool side and views within the hotel are amazing. Close to beach. staff are very friendly. Room was spacious and clean
Review 42:the food really expensive, and very bad we got some pizzas at italian restaurant inside the hotel, those were the worst all my life
Review 43:it is amaizing, huge, confortable, enjoyable it was magnific
Review 44:Food/restaurants on site were very overpriced. Food was good, but not worth even half the prices charged. No reasonably priced breakfast options.
Review 45:Luxurious hotel. Beautiful property and rooms. Staff was so friendly and welcoming.
Review 46:feels very artificial and reminded me of Vegas large hotels. Overrated for the price. everything at the hotel is expensive including the food.
Review 47:very large spacious room which is nice for those travelling with kids
Review 48:Everything on site was a bit pricey and even though the staff was very welcoming, it was difficult to find someone to give recommendations on the area unless had specific questions and could speak Korean
Review 49:Very luxurious accommodations with lots of things to see even on the resort.
Review 50:- everything about the over priced Food - we struggled to have a good meal on site. Found better food at a local burger joint "kraze" and a nearby buffet with fresh seafood. Buffet is 40k won! You'd expect champagne, freshly squeezed juices, freshly baked bread and perfect coffees. Don't get overwhelmed by the price! You are not getting 40k worth of quality food... This isn't shangri-la or four seasons standard. - Extremely poor kids menu selection. There is only one option which quickly becomes boring and is rather unhealthy. We struggled to find any decent vegetables! - hotel charges a fee for using the gym! I've never seen this before at a 5 star hotel and I travel a lot! - generally not very welcoming hotel for non-Korean guests - lots of rules and pay for everything on top of your room (gym, kids activities at kids club, sauna, etc)
Review 51:Heated outdoor pool Kids playroom Beach lounge Volcano show Limousine bus service from airport
Review 52:The hotel is about 60-70mins away from the airport and can be a tedious journey. That said, you do reside quite close to some of the major attractions and sights.
Review 53:We did like that it was clean, well-maintained and that the staff were excellent. The concierge desk could have done with a few more fluent English speakers since they'd be the individuals dishing out travel advice to guests. WiFi was free throughout the hotel and with good speed.
Review 54:English needs improvement. Concierge service not too helpful. I asked for instructions to town market and directions wasn't too clear (due to english) and we were not advised that the market was closed because of New Year. As a result, we went there for nothing and came back. Also the pool staff asked me to go find the swim cap when we are nice enought to turn all the robes and towels back to counter while others just left on chairs. I dropped the cap on the way ...Why she didn't ask all other customers to return the stuff??
Review 55:Staff is courteous. heated
Review 56:Meal was too expensive for the quality of food provided. restaurant staff was not readily available. We had to search for a waitress and wait for a long time in order to request service each time .Nightly out door show was too noisy and annoying.
Review 57:Location, cleanliness. friendly staff.
Review 58:Most of the hotel staffs were not very helpful in attitude. Considering that the hotel charges more than five stars price, they should at least make sure that their staffs were helpful enough in provoding basic service in English.
Review 59:Great ocean views.
Review 60:1- Expensive. 2- The 180 steps to go to the beach is not convenient.
Review 61:One of the best hotels I've stayed at in my whole life. Thouhg it was expensive, but it was really nice, breath taking view, very spacious rooms, friendly staff, nice resturants, excellent breakfast, Dinner with the Volcano Show was nice, very nice indoor and outdoor swimming pools for kids and adults, nice relaxing facilities at the beach, and great idea for the barbeque at the camping area but we did not try it :).
Review 62:On the beach you cannot go into the water. This is only allowed a few 100 meter away. The lounges on the beach and the pool are way too less. I've never been to a 4 or 5 star resort before where the lounges are always occupied. For more than 200€ per night I should expect being able to relax on the pool or the beach. Swiming in the pool is only allowed with swimming cap (like in the 80ies) The same for the breakfast buffet, we've been asked to have breakfast in one of the restaurants as the tables in the buffet room were already occupied. Breakfast is only from 8 - 10am. Rental cars also not available as already fully booked, but no alternative mentioned like a rental car shop in Seogwipo city. It is huge and has some "attractions" which might be nice for Korean or Chinese guests, but in my opinion not for international guests. Too expensive for the given value.
Review 63:close to the beach and the staff is friendly.
Review 64:Great rooms but need to be renew. The staff (except at the front desck ) don't speak english very well. The gym is also a little bit poor.
Review 65:Beautiful private beach, lots of restaurants and shops in the hotel. You can find every thing you need for kids. Excellent for family.
Review 66:What I did not like is that I found difficulty finding a place to eatbecause I don't eat Korean or Japanese food .
Review 67:I love every thing in the hotel it is more than perfect
Review 68:The English speaking guide-driver recommended by the hotel spoke very elementary English. He did not explain much on the five places we visited. It's expensive to pay KWon 150K for a 7hrs day trip!
Review 69:A fine quality resort hotel in a good location within Seogwipo region. All staff were courteous& very friendly. Would certainly recommend to friends who wish to visit Jeju island.
Review 70:1) Must have more choices of food after 2pm. Only room service available after 2pm or at the poolside cafe. I mean tea time food choices from 2-6pm very limited. Must have more. Should have a coffee house or cafe open during this time.2) must offer more non spicy food for children 3) duty free shopping hours too short. Should close at 9pm.
Review 71:1) Location good just next to teddy bear musuem n ripley's musuem2) good duty free shopping 3) great swimming pool n good facilities for families with kids 4) very comfortable beds 5) polite staff 6) extremely good selection of pillows 7) the korean restaurant serves very good delicious food but should serve samgyetang. Why is samgyetang not available? It's the best korean soup for summer time 8) 7-11 is just outside the hotel very convenient 9) aritaum which sells laneige n othet cosmetics is also just outside the hotel, very good.
Review 72:For this price breakfast and at least indoor pool and fitness center should be inluded. Outdoor pool was closed during my stay.
Review 73:Staff Breakfast Room
Review 74:Though the fee is nominal but having to pay to use sauna and steam room is not acceptable as that's the minimum requirements for 5 star hotels. Food is very pricy, from afternoon tea to restaurants or BBQ. No activities on the beach - if that's why you're here for you will be disappointed - not sure if its because the weather is not hot enough. It's not really beach front. There's a short walk then stairs down to the beach area.
Review 75:Staff are well trained and very helpful. Duty free shopping is very convenient.
Review 76:There are some strange rules for swimming, like you can't swim without head cover.
Review 77:Warm Swimming pool. Restaurant beside the swimming pool. Lake Plaza. Staff.
Review 78:Everithing was too expensive with clear aim to spend money. You have to pay for indoor pool!
Review 79:It was quiet, even all outdoor activities finished at midnight.
Review 80:Personally it was a bit expensive, but we had such a great time that the money didn't matter to us.
Review 81:The staff was extremely kind and helpful. They really treat you like royalty. From the moment we stepped into the hotel to the time we left there was always someone assisting us in some way to make our trip as memorable as possible.
Review 82:Booked a ocean view room but room was facing more to the pool. Was only able to see a small part of the ocean.
Review 83:Staff was friendly and very helpful.Room was very clean and comfortable.
Review 84:hotel overall is quite old compared to shilla.
Review 85:friendly service
Review 86:There is no clinic or pharmacy nearby hotel
Review 87:The existence of markets and restaurants near the hotel as well as some museums and gardens
Review 88:Floor carpet old and smells.
Review 89:No shuttle bus from the airport.
Review 90:All the staffs are very nice and kind.
Review 91:the location is perfect and you can access many tourist spots from there such as the Bear museum and believe it or not museum.
Review 92:room location is kind of far
Review 93:The location and the view
Review 94:nothing at all
Review 95:it was a wobderful experience ... everything was great in this hotel
Review 96:The location is very good, the yard is nice.
Review 97:luxury staying, good facility

Review 101:Excelent facilities and very nice pool
Review 102:I liked everything in it, especially the view
Review 103:Location Rooms Size Luxury Decoration and Landscaping
Review 104:staff friendly, but their English and mandarin need to improve
Review 105:very suitable for family with young children
Review 106:The swimming pool is too small.
Review 107:Staff is excellent.
Review 108:One of an excellent hotels that I have visited and styed in
Review 109:Every thing in this hotel is good; the hotel staff, the food, the location, and the rooms.
