Review 1：I had a reservation for a double bed and I got two singles, I told the receptionist and changed the room and again there were two single beds and I just didn't want to argue

Review 2：Long Time to book in and Check out, not enough people to manage during peak needs. Pillow and bathroom Wash supplies are of the Level of a boarding schipol. don't ask for a bike it's 12.50 a day.....

Review 4：The room was terrible, old fashioned, no decorations and the bed was too soft with only a small sheet directly onto the mattress. It was noisy and you could hear the ventilation machines outside.

Review 12：The senior waiter from 21.06.2015 evening told me that asking him in a polite way for something to eat is actually making him uncomfortable. He also swore and made comments in Flemish, acting crazy on the floor. In the end the chef came and was very open and professional in serving me. Though I would love to have a large salad for the money I payed previously, as I am a vegetarian, the hotel gave me 3 courses, 2 of which were with fish and meat. No heating during first night (bellow 15 degrees in the room). There is a smell in the room. Window does not close properly. Old furniture, old rooms, need major investment and refurbishment.

Review 13：The beds are awesome, very soft, comfortable, quiet room and peaceful. Breakfast is ok. Location of the hotel is perfect, the closest to the train station in Hilversum (this is actually the hotel's main advantage). Clean room, bathroom.

Review 15：The hotel was a perfect location to use as a base for my business trips with meetings in the North and South of the country. Comfortable, good staff and decent food in the restaurant I would book again.

Review 19：Hotel is quite old and lacks basic modern facilities. If i'm paying 120€ in a small town for a hotel that claims to be 4*, i expect basic things to be available. Instead what we get are old rooms, dirty cupboards, bathroom which lacks basic amenities, grimy showers and a restaurant menu which is average food and highly priced. I would rather stay in Amsterdam the next time and travel 30mins to Hilversum.

Review 21：The rooms are old and tired. Not 1 amenity in the bathroom, everything just functional, lights next to bed did not work, but were fixed the next day when I notified them. The rooms very warm no way to adjust temperatures .

Review 38：I would like to have seen leaflets for guests to look at of things to do in Hilversum rather than go to the tourist information and perhaps book an excursion through the hotel. I would also have liked to have seen a display of postcards for guests to buy with the appropriate stamps which could be bought at reception I was asked at reception on day of arrival if I would like to pay for our stay or would like to pay when we checked out. I told the receptionist that I would like to pay when we checked out. Receptionist asked for my credit card details so he could note down my credit card number but said he would not take any payment. On check out I paid my bill by credit card. I was somewhat confused when a little later I passed the reception area to be told that I had already paid on arrival and that they would cancel the payment which I had payed for the second time. I thought this was strange as I definitely told the receptionist on arrival that I would like to pay when we checked out. I didn't think I had payed as I was not given a receipt of payment.

Review 39：Staff serving our evening meals were very friendly and did all to make us happy and were excellent in the way they served us. We would like to thank the Chef for the wonderful meals we had each evening. Staff in reception were very friendly and answered all our questions on how to find the centre and gave us a map of Hilversum Use of free internet was a plus.

Review 70：The hotel was beautiful! The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds are memory foam so very nice to sleep on. The front desk people are fantastic extremely helpful and spoke multiple languages. It was out first time in Amsterdam and we loved it thanks to this hotel.

Review 73：The outside looks better than the actual inside, it´s more a 3 star hotel than a 4 star. The ceiling had a crack and there were some spiders crawling around. Also there was just a bottle supply for both gel and shampoo, they didnt leave any small samples. At least it was clean.

Review 74：In general it was ok. The train station ( sportspark) is only a 3 min walk away. You can go to amsterdam by train and come back around 1:30 at night max. the hilversum train station is not that far away either and there are trains going by until 3am. The tv was big and the bed was quite comfortable.

Review 83：The staff were not very accomodating or flexible regarding the time wewanted to dine, and they wanted us to eat earlier to accomodate a largegroup booking for people who were not even staying in the hotel. We feltas paying hotel guests we should get to choose when we wanted to eat.Also, it had nothing to do with seating space as the large booking wasin a separate room.The decor is pretty bad, restaurant carpets and furniture not in sync with the more modern looking wallpapering. It felt like we were in an old country club. Regarding the price of the meal, while the food was good, they had hiked the price for the festive season menu which we thought was unnecessary as there was no sign that the food was any different. We booked a suite which comes with 'complementary minibar' while there was a small bottle of cheap wine and 1 alcohol free beer, it didnt really feel like a perk at all. A bit cheeky we thought. We had the extractor pipe right outside our window, so it sounded like we were on an aeroplane the whole time. The staff told us that all baby cots were already being used, but there were no signs of any other babies or children in the hotel - not at the dinner nor at rhe breakfast the next day. We guesses they were too lazy to get one out and set it up for us. As usual we are disappointed with the lack of service-mindedness in Holland ... The dutch just dont get it.
