Located in the central Grand Baie, Villas Athena offers private, self catering villas with a patio overlooking the landscaped gardens. Each villa has a garden with a private pool and a terrace with barbecue facilities.
The spacious villas are elegantly decorated with modern furniture in neutral tones. All are air-conditioned and have a separate seating area with a satellite TV, a fully equipped design kitchen and come with free WiFi.
The villas are a 5 minutes' drive from the public beach and 15 minutes by car from the private beach with kiosks and sunbeds. Guests can enjoy a variety of water sports like scuba diving, a snack service and massages on the beach.
A private shuttle bus operates to the beach and city centre twice a day.

Review 1：The pool is not perfectly private, exposed to a villa near the complex. They should mention its a private home that is being rented out. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Checkout procedure was really annoying, we had to drive to another location to collect our deposit, and nearly made us late for our flight home.

Review 4：Everything!! The complex was lovely and quiet. It had all the amenities you needed. 2 min drive from either Pereybere or Grand Baie. All of the supermarkets and restaraunts are close by. Virginnie our Maid was Fantastic and we wish we could of took her home! Thanks to everyone there... we will be back!
Review 5：Only one bottle of water served on arrival. Breakfast comprised of just some breads served unhygienically, and a can of juice. No pantry or supermarket nearby to stock up food. No restaurant in the property. Very inconvenient to go out and procure food and grocery supplies.

Review 11：When we arrived we had a total of 6 visitors within the space of a few days. We were only there for 2 nights and yet we're visited by a revolving door of greeting lady who (with a checklist) took us through the inventory of the kitchen, then a cleaning lady to access the laundry they were washing in the utility room, then another cleaner to get more sheets. Then a guy the next day while we were trying to relax by the pool to fix the pool light which was broken, he left the villa /garden door wide open for two more men to come and look at the pool light. Eventually we asked him to leave it until we were gone. Then another man to check the fire extinguisher. It was very disturbing. The kitchen plates, glasses and cutlery were all filthy and had to be washed before use. The breakfast consisted of a basket of bread and croissants, coffee from a jam jar and the cheapest jam available in Mauritius. All of this was annoying but what topped the stay off was on the second night a mouse ran across the living room floor coming from the bedroom. We then went looking and noticed mouse poo in every corner of the villa. This ruined our stay completely. When the checkout lady came in the morning we told her this and she completely ignored what we had said. There was no misunderstanding as my partner speaks creole. She simply pretended she did not hear what we said and proceeded to count the glasses and cups. It was highly insulting to do this as if we were going to steal any of the filthy crockery anyway. We will never return to this villa.

Review 25：* Major disadvantage: far from the beach - over 10 minutes by car to get to the beach club. * Nothing interesting in the walking distance vicinity - your own garden with walls heated by sun can feel claustrophobic at times; do rent a car. * The option to order dinner expires at noon while it is usually late that you realize you would like to be served a meal. * Room Wi-Fi slow and faulty at times, especially in the master bedroom (probably too weak signal) and Wi-Fi in the beach club reaching tables but not beds.

Kids loved it at we also enjoyed it. * Lots of space in the apartment and fully equipped kitchen. * Kind staff cleaning every day and personal host effectively resolving issues at the arrival (moved to a new house after roof leak). * Private beach club with good food. * Two good shopping centers 5 minutes away with a car.
Review 27：There's no air condition at the living hall. We can't open the door/window as the mosquito will come in so it gets really stuffy in side at night. Difficult to get assistance as we hv to call their handphone and not all them will answer.

Review 37：The villas are a bit far from the beach and tourist attraction. The villas are not very well known from people in other parts of the island Sometimes you might find insects such as ants, lizards, flyes and in my villa there was a very nosiy cat also. TV has only french channels
