Review 1：the only slight negative is the beach is mediocre but to be honest that was no problem. There are amazing beaches which are a short distance away and when you have a west facing infinity pool looking straight onto the sea and with a swim up bar...nothing else is required.
Review 2：Great stay at a wonderful hotel. So good on so many levels. The sunset in the infinity pool has real wow factor. The rooms are made of stone and have a real sense of space and they have a roof terrace with a hammock. The owners, Valerie and Cyril, do everything to make your stay perfect and they have created a real community spirit within the hotel which really makes a difference during your stay. It is easy to buzz around the island to some great beaches and then head back for cocktails and sunset at the divine Comedie. Jack, is the bar tender at the pool and he is great chat and makes the most wonderful cocktails. A really interesting guy who also helps foster the community spirit withinn the hotel and helping all the guests to interact with each other. Dennis was incredibly helpful and runs the front desk, a real asset for the hotel and he is half Dutch and half Thai so has many languages covered. I will without doubt go back to this hotel and and have no problem in highly recommending it.
Review 3：Nothing really, but housekeeping could have smiled a little. Additionally if being very picky being in a room by the road could be noisy as it's on a 1 way system so all traffic comes past.

The island itself is also great and cozy. there is a wonderful and clean pool with the bar you can go to without getting out of the pool (the very best in the hot days).

Review 14：The location isn't the best as there isn't much to do in the immediate vicinity and the beach isn't the nicest looking. So you're depending on scooters or taxis for travel, but that's the case on most parts of the island.

Review 19：The pictures shows the place in a slightly different light. When we arrived it wasn't very clean although had rained a lot so things weren't at its best. Our room stunk of vile off water and there was a sheer drop in the room which my boyfriend fell off in the middle of the night hurting himself badly ! Be careful. The food was good though and prices were good.

Review 21：We had to pay more because of the full moon party which made It nearly double of what we could of paid. Unfortunately my partner wasn't well so we couldn't go. The gym could of had some free weights and been in better condition. The grass around the pool attracted a lot of insects and looked like it could of done with a trim! Maybe a decking would be better?

Review 36：Everything was fantastic except that we noticed a sewage smell in the room on one of the days. Also the air-con leaked some water onto the floor in the night. It was also a little difficult to travel around the area or know where to go ... I'd recommend hiring motorcycles because taxis were very expensive!

The room was clean and luxurious. Overall the hotel was well designed and full of character, while the staff made every effort to make us enjoy our stay!

Room was amazingly decorated and had a nice feel. Very clean and the shower and bed were just perfect! Finally there is a little gym with a good sauna. Definitely would recommend a stay here!!!

Review 46：There were a lot of ants in the room, the chips in the minibar and sugar packets with the coffee pot were partially opened and the bugs got in. I would suggest having the sugar and chips available on request rather than sitting out in the rooms to attract bugs!

I felt uncomfortable walking on the beach barefoot The room smelled like a sour wash rag when left without air conditioning for any amount of time (which cut off everytime you left the room because the elecricity was connected to the room key)

Review 64：Main problem which isn't too big but for the price we paid was quite disappointing... There was not enough sun loungers around the pool for the amount of guests which was quite annoying. We stayed for 4 days and the first day we had to sunbathe on the grass next to someone's sun lounger (with ants crawling over our towels) and the second day we had to use the deckchairs provided as there were no loungers - which aren't the best things to sit in all day to sunbathe; especially when 2 sun beds in front of us had been reserved with someone's towel and book on ALL DAY but no one returned to use these for the entire time, wasting the use of the sun beds for a whole day (very annoying). Last bad point was that the air con in the room was not facing the bed which made this very hot and horrible for me to sleep in the night, I ended up sleeping on the concrete around the bed trying to get air (however my partner slept fine so could put this down to different body heats, not a major issue for everyone) I was offered a fan on the last night which was nice of the staff but by then there wasn't much point for 1 night.
Review 65：The staff here were very friendly and helpful. The pool is lovely with a swim up bar and the quality of the breakfast was great! You could have breakfast at whatever time during the day meaning you dont have to rush to get up at a certain time which was fantastic! The room was amazing! Had a fridge and coffee/ tea making facilities, bed was very comfortable!! Bathroom was the nicest of all the places I've stayed in Thailand! Very clean and kept well, shower was lovely!

Review 71：It's really difficult to communicate with the staff especially at the restaurant, and they get annoyed if you complain about something. Some of them get a bit arrogant even! We asked for fried eggs for our breakfast and they served us extremely overcooked eggs that i refused to eat. I asked them for another one and explained what i want and the next one was fried egg whites, no yolks!!! We found 2 big cockroaches at our first room which was downstairs. The owner helped us to get rid of them. Then we moved to upstair rooms and it was all good. The gym needs some attention too.

It's enough to keep the rooms freezing but not the suites during hotter part of day. I am a whiney Canadian who likes his cold though so probably not a problem for most people. All in all it was a great place and a really lucky find for us.

Review 81：The beach in front of the hotel is not nice. Very dirty, stony, not meant to swim. If you are looking for perfect beaches on Koh Phangan, this is not the place to go. Thong Nan Pai in the Northeast is a paradise on earth. We also didn't like the hammering technosounds from noon until late in the night from the neighboring resort.
Review 82：Very stylish, clean rooms which make you feel very comfortable. A very nice infinity pool towards the beach where you can enjoy the sunset with a cool drink from the pool bar. Compared to the Thai-Style "American Breakfast" or "Continental Breakfast" this breakfast is really good! Fresh fruits, nice baguettes, delicious "creme brulée", homemade marmelade (papaya, mango, pineapple).

Review 84：The bed was the most comfiest I've slept in Thailand and the pillows were devine. Breakfast was included and you can have it any time of the day. The bar around the pool was very cool as there were seats actually in the pool. The Manager also spoke perfect English. Wifi was really good. Review 85：A very disappointing experience. Much is made of the hotel's "quirky, boutique' feel, but unfortunately they've got few basics wrong. All the rooms front onto a central pathway. But the windows have only blackout blinds, meaning a choice between privacy or light ! The A/C unit in my (Junior Suite) was woefully inadequate for the size of the room, and the subsequent heat was just about bearable, but never comfortable. While on the walls the polished/painted concrete effect works well, on the floor it already (after two years) looks dirty and neglected. I was looking forward to using my rooftop terrace for some sunbathing, but it was poorly furnished, with just a pair of cheap plastic chairs and a table - not the sunlounger I had expected. As a consequence I never used the terrace (or saw anyone else use theirs). The staff attention/attitude was poor and I put this down to bad training by obviously inexperienced (european) management. On check-out my bill took 20 minutes to sort out, and when it arrived it was wrong by 50%. The customer wifi was initially not working and only started up once I suggested a reboot. Lastly, the food was uninspiring. The management were pleasant enough, just incompetent. I'm travelling around Thailand and whilst this is not the worst hotel I've stayed in it was the one that disappointed me the most.

Review 87：location is not optimal. on the main street (even though the windows and doors are *very* good. beach is not very clean, many bottles from after hour party spot 10 meters besides. on one day it was also *very* noisy during the afternoon and evening (after hour party). We also went to the party for a few minutes, but it wasnt good... however, if you have a scooter the location is good for exploring all parts of the island

Review 90：The techno party next door! I had originally booked 5 nights, but left after the second. Both nights there were parties in the neighborhood making it impossible to sleep. The second night it was just next door (literally a 100 meters) and was going on until 5 in the morning. The owner apologized for the noise the following day and said that it was the first time this had happened. So loud that you might as well have joined the party. So a good thing would be to check with the hotel if any parties are planned during your stay there. The location! There is nothing here. You really do need a bike or a car to get to anything remotely interesting, be it a beach or a restaurant. The beach. Or the lack of one. Having read reviews online saying that the beach wasn't the best beach, I somehow thought it would still be an okay beach. It wasn't. Nobody used it at all. Again, you have to drive to go to a nice beach. Wifi was really slow and sometimes didn't work at all, but I guess that's the standard at Koh Phangang. Would have loved a real closet to keep my clothes in. Most of it was stored on a shelf above the bed, so you have to stand in your bed to pick your clothes. Just a minor detail. As a solo traveller, I wouldn't pick this place. It's too isolated and mostly suited for couples, groups of friends or families with a bike or a car.
Review 91：The rooms were great. Loved the rain shower and the balcony. Best shower I've had in Thailand so far! The pool and the pool area with nice lounge music (as long as it wasn't drowning in the tecno next door!) The service by the owners was good. There were no problems when I wanted to leave after 2 nights, even though I had booked 5. Helped with taxi and even paid it, because the taxi driver wanted more money than the promised deal with the hotel. The guy at the reception (not sure if it was the owner) apologized for all the noise during the night. And you could see that he was understandably upset too. The food in the restaurant was okay. Nothing special, but nice enough.

As the hotel states on its website that no children under the age of 12 are allowed, this was inconvenient and irritating.

Review 119：Very friendly staff, location is amazing and the views to die for from the infinity pool. The place only has 15 rooms and we only ever saw 2-3 other couples at any point in our stay. Swim up bar was great and the drinks were made well. Room was quiet and the bed comfortable.
Review 120：Just a minor suggestion. The lighting in the room was great for normal activities, very soft and romantic but could have done with a brighter light in the bathroom.

All day breakfast and all meals very good indeed. All staff were lovely and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all so helpful and kind. Probably the best hotel stay I've ever had.

Great bed, very clean. The location is 15 min from had rin by bike. The hotel located on the beach - a step walk and the view is outstanding. It's worth every dime. Can't wait to come back. Review 129：First night door wouldn't lock. Didn't fix until the morning. Wifi very average. Smell in the bathroom and shower got clogged. Small things but a lovely hotel overall.
