Reviews for B&B Auberge De Klasse
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:A superb host, spotless facilities, excellent food. This is the definition of attention to detail. I have travelled extensively and stayed in five star hotels that would envy this gentleman's care of his guests. Nothing is too much trouble and I happily recommend this B&B to anyone seeking to visit Veurne and the fascination of West Flanders.
Review 3:Absolutely nothing.
Review 4:The owner is an excellent host. He is a trained chef and has managed hotels that are part of international groups in many areas of the world, including America and the Far East. Having returned home he has employed architects and interior designers to turn part of the family home (a separate building) into guest accommodation). He has impeccable taste. His expertise as a chef ensures that you will enjoy a memorable breakfast; the first sip of orange juice, freshly squeezed that morning, will inform you of the quality of the food and drink to follow. Veurne is a small town with beautiful architecture and a market square that is a hub of activity and hence a very pleasant experience. The town was not ravaged by the war in Europe but even so has some interesting history.
Review 5:Great location and the small town of Veurne nice. The man who owned B&B very friendly and gave us lots of tourist information. Breakfast was excellent. The converted farm house building was very attractive as was our room and ensuite.
Review 6:I liked it all. Several aspects of the town, and roadworks in the Auberg Street, all outside of the proprietors control were really the only negatives I can think of during my stay in Veurne.
Review 7:The actual property's interior was beautifully designed, finishes were of the highest quality, and managed by a most gracious, helpful and professional host. Most if not, all details are carefully managed. It is ideally located very close to the center square, lined with magnificent buildings, and restaurants.
Review 8:As an overnight stop, with in an hour of Calais ferry, in a small old town fitted our ideal. The presentation of the room and shared areas were excellent and individual. Our host was so friendly and the breakfast was very professionally provided with taste.
Review 9:Leaving and having to wait for our next visit
Review 10:The owner is a very friendly professional hotelier of the "OLD" school. Everything has to be perfect and it is. He has worked all over the world for the largest and most prestigious hotels, and this shows in his own perfect establishment
Review 11:Nothing we did not like.
Review 12:Looked in the area for a B&B in the area as we wanted to attend the Saturday evening event at the Menem gate. Reviews of B&B looked good & sounded perfect for us as we like to stay on the edge of a town and walk in. Location was spot on and host very helpful with directing us in to town and places to eat. Room was good size and had everything required, honesty bar down stairs in the dining area. Continental breakfast was very filling with a good selection of cold meats and cheeses, plus fresh fruit. Boiled or fried eggs also offered.
Review 13:Quite expensive for a b&b. Booking.com's website says that the parking is on site, but in fact it is on the street outside.
Review 14:Everything very clean. Lovely room, Excellent continental breakfast, Albert the owner very nice and helpful, Free wifi, 5 mins stroll to square.
Review 15:There was nothing to dislike
Review 16:An excellent location convenient for the Town Centre and the restaurants of this very pretty town. It was very convenient for the holiday resort of Le Panne and for key locations in Operation Dynamo and the Dunkirk perimeter. Key actions were along the canal to the north and south of Furnes ( Veurne) and were within walking distance of the Auberge..
Review 17:A small property with character and a bit of history, beautifully renovated with all the comforts you could need. The owner was an excellent host. 5 mins walk from the centre of town, free parking outside
Review 18:Warm welcome from a lovely host, fabulous building that's been beautifully renovated, superb breakfast full of home-made and locally-sourced goodies, lovely bathroom and free-parking outside the front door.
Review 19:As soon as we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by Albert the proprietor. The accommodation is beautifully decorated and presented. The breakfast was very good with a choice of fresh fruit, bread, cheeses, cooked meats and a perfectly cooked boiled egg. I would definitely stay again.
Review 20:I couldn't fault this place or the owners in any way
Review 21:The accomodation is first class in every way. Gorgeous rooms and amenities, wonderfully decorated and comfortable. Delicious breakfast set out beautifully every morning. The owners could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. Don't miss out on this little gem.

Review 43:The location, warmth and comfort of room, delicious breakfast, very friendly and hospitable owner
Review 44:We are return guests. The standard is exceptional and we always have a wonderful stay.
Review 45:Everything but the breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit salad and homemade preserves was outstanding
Review 46:That it was not easy to let daylight into the bedroom.
Review 47:The attention to detail. Everything was to the very highest standard. Our host was very welcoming and helpful. The bedroom was beautiful. The breakfast was excellent. We very much enjoyed learning about the history of the area from our knowledgeable host.
Review 48:Every effort was made to ensure that our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Albert was extremely helpful, booked a restaurant for the evening and got up especially to prepare our breakfast early before our departure to catch a ferry. Lovely house with beautiful garden.
Review 49:Nothing! Everything was perfect.
Review 50:Probably the best establishment of its kind that we have ever stayed in,and we travel all over Europe frequently. Madame's welcome and hospitality was truly remarkable,as was her helpfulness in sorting out a particular health problem that we encountered during our stay.
Review 51:We booked a stay at the Auberge De Klass after we had read the very favourable reviews, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we were welcomed with a glass of wine and a slice of home-made apple tart to the moment we checked out everything was perfect. The rooms are spacious, light and airy and spotlessly clean (as is the whole place). Everywhere is so tastefully decorated. In spite of being just a stone’s throw from the town centre, the hotel is situated on a quiet road and there was hardly any traffic noise. Guests can make use of the beautifully tended garden at the rear of the hotel – ideal for us smokers! We were looked after by the proprietor’s 84 year old mother (the proprietor was on holiday) and boy did she look after us. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were fabulous – freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly made fruit salad, a choice of cold meats and cheeses, eggs boiled to one’s liking, a choice of bread and pastries and home-made jam all washed down with as much filter coffee as we could drink. In short, the best continental breakfasts we have ever had. There are just three bedrooms: Angele is the largest and very spacious, Cecile (the room we stayed in) is the middle-sized one and Isabelle in the smallest, although one would hardly call it “small”. All rooms have impressive en-suite facilities, a kettle plus free tea / coffee, and free wi-fi (pronounced ‘whiffy’ in Belgium). Each room has its own beautiful décor. It’s not cheap, but it is excellent value for money. We will definitely be going back again - many times! Just one word of caution: the hotel does not take credit cards, so please make sure you have plenty of euros with you!
Review 52:Our only regret was that we only stayed for one night. But we will be going back!
Review 53:The great welcome, the beautiful garden, the comfortable room, the fabulous breakfast, the wonderful style, the ease of parking, the free wi-fi that actually worked, the superb little town of Veurne (which we have inexplicably passed by on the motorway dozens of times) with its 16 restaurants and superb Flemish architecture, and its proximity to Dunkirk and Calais. You really should go there. Oh, did I mention the fabulous breakfast?
Review 54:No kettle in the room (which was in the process of being sorted)
Review 55:Very warm welcome with a detailed history of the property. Lovely & peaceful, very clean extremely well looked after, including special requests. Full use of the beautiful garden.
Review 56:Tea/ coffee facilities in the room would have made it perfect for us.
Review 57:Lovely accommodation in a quiet area yet close to the historic heart of Veurne. We were made to feel very welcome and would certainlygo again.
Review 58:The stairs to the bedrooms are precipitous and narrow and not good forsomeone with a disability or limited arm movement.
Review 59:A very warm welcome from Albert the host and lots of useful informationabout Veurne and the vicinity. Albert's breakfasts are to die for.Very clean and very comfortable bedrooms with good bathrooms.
