Blue Dream Hostel sells fast on our site. In Bantai area, Hard Road Cafe is a 5-minute walk from Bantai Beach. It has dormitory rooms and bungalows with free Wi-Fi. Massage and shuttle services can be arranged upon request. Guests can book sightseeing trip at the on-site tour desk.
Hard Road Cafe is a 10-minute drive to Thongsala Pier and a 20-minute drive to Haad Rin. It is a 1.5 hours from Samui Airport by boat and car.

Review 1：The music was blasting till the wee hours even when there was no one appreciating it. The dormitory was outrightly dirty. I was itching all the way till 6am and couldn't tell if it was mosquito or bed bugs. The staffs who clear the room after the guest had left were rude,noisy and seemed to hate their job. Maybe better staff and facilties management would maximise the potential of this hostel.

Review 2：There is a wide array of activities in this hostel considering the price that it is charging.

Review 3：I had the best stay at blue dream, if I ever go back to Koh phangan this is definitly where I will stay. I met alot of new people and there was something going on every night. The staff is super friendly and very helpfull, I couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Review 5：I saw many nice guys and most were backpackers same as I was then. Thorough drinking every night, I could make many friends here. The location is also great for many parties. It is not near Haad rin beach where full moon party is held but we can share taxi with mates, that was also fun to go for full moon party together. The staff are also just great.

Review 6：Staff were very welcoming and helped me find everything I needed on the island. The bar was great, and there was always a party going on in the evening. Good party hostel to warm up before full moon party. Lots of young like-minded travellers stayed at hostel which made for great fun and many friends. Value for money was excellent, I'd highly recommend this place.

Review 7：We don't usually stay in hostels but we wanted somewhere a bit lively with atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised. The lady at reception was awesome. She was incredibly helpful and gave us some great recommendations (where to go, where to eat). The facilities are also great for the price you are paying.

Review 11：The best part of our stay was the staff. The most friendly and helpful staff we have come across during our stay in Thailand! Welcoming and fun atmosphere. Great pool and bar to chill at, room was clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend staying here!

Review 12：very unhelpful staff: each time asked for something (and I'm not a demanding person) people at the reception smiled saying 'of course' but each time the request was not satisfyed. E.g. Had cold water in the shower, and I had to wait two days before it was fixed. They postponed the intervention 'cos' apparently was a very difficult thing to fix, and when finally someone showed up it came out that it needed 5 mins to be solved. Honestly I would not suggest this structure.

Review 14：Unfortunately our food order was forgotten and an hour later when we reminded them about it, they made the food but then forgot to deliver it to us so it sat outside for a while. This only happened once and mostly food was tasty & on time

Review 18：I shared a dorm with a group of friends, so it was very hard to find people to hang out with. Everybody seems to be in groups all the time. since the place is so huge, it is harder to meet people as a solo traveler. Unless you like to get very drunk every night, then its easy. Maybe this was my experience and for another person it would be completly different. - didnt clean the shower one time. Toilets are disgusting. Poop everywhere.

Review 21：Location is really bad. They offer taxi service. On first day I got the blue dream taxi and they took 200 baht off me when it was only ment to be 100. The rules are unfair. Such as no food or drink from the outside around pool area to get more money from you. And with the rooms being dirty I didn't want to sit in tee room and eat so I was forced to eat at their pool bar or go out. And that's no good if you are traveling on a budget. They take your passport to try and charge you more for broken rules. You have to pay for your towel and locker. They make it look like it a deposit but I didn't get my money back. I had to check out early due to boat times and they demanded I give back my towel and locker key the previous night before 9pm. Meaning I couldn't shower in the morning or go out due to my things not being able to be locked away.

Review 27：- We had to pay for our towels while we had booked a private double room, for this money towels should be included. - Quite some music noise until late at night (don't come for early sleep). - The rooms had big openings under the doors/windows, causing having gecko's in the room and a huge spider

Review 36：The outside shared facilities were fantastic, the cleanliness of the room was shocking. There were lizards, bugs on the beds and flying ants and mosi's may as well have been outside. The shower didn't work and smelt. Depends what you want, personally I wasn't too fused about the room, we saved a lot staying get there, but my friend was mega grossed out the whole time

Review 102：It a very nice place to stay for young individual backpackers who like to party and interact with other travelers. What I liked most was the friendly and social atmosphere. They created lots of space to hang out and chill (couch-area) and pre-parties (BBQ and painting before half/full moon parties, games etc). People here are very social and everybody likes to interact and connect. Although I think the hostel itself was far from clean and not too comfortable I had a GREAT time here, lots of fun, made many friends and I would definitely come back!

Review 103：- Location: It is far from Haad Rin and there are no convenient stores or restaurants nearby - Facilities: Locks were broken, AC wasnt working, ran out of water for a day and the toilets, showers were a nightmare (they fixed everything within a day but that day was terrible) - Noise: They start playing music fairly early and also can hear people talking around all the time. Did not get any rest the 2 days I stayed here and left (even though I booked for 5)

Review 110：This place is fantastic to stay at if you're up for partying at one if the moon parties, or just want to relax and read a book. The staff are excellent and getting everyone involved, whether it be pre-moon party, or playing beach volleyball, ping pong etc. This hostel is by far the best I've stayed.

Review 111：The only down side which isnt even a bad thing was the location, it slightly too far to walk to Thong sala, which is the closest town with shops, therefore you have to hire a bike or get a taxi.

When we hadissues with the reception computers and asked for help we were simplytold "don't know what's wrong" even before having alook. Its fine not to be a tech whizz instead replace with commoncustomer courtesy - so if it does turn out the comps on sitearen't working, come out turn left and few meters up the road isan internet cafe.

Review 114：Short trip from the port to Baan Tai - and no up hill down hill windybiiiit scary roads to tackle! Which you get if you go further onto HaadRin. Friendly greeting, I had requested to stay in the Villas which theupgrade was no problem - kindly gave us a lift over the road from thereception to the Villas. Stayed in a great size room, had fridge, doublebed, lounge area and bath. Motorbike only 200baht which is good. Frommain reception beach is across the road, a nice pool and beach frontrestaurant/bar called Milky Bay which you can relax by if you buysomething. Hard Road panini's are lovely!

Review 115：Nice place to meet other travelers before you head out to one of the many parties on the island. Staff is very helpful and the owner will beat you in table tennis anytime ;)

Review 116：This is a hard one because I really did like everything. I guess the only thing would be, for me, personally, because of my budget I would have liked the food on their menu to have been priced a little cheaper but there are quite a few different thai restaurants to choose from only a short distance from the hostel and they all serve delicious local food for around the equivelent of £1.50 so it really wasnt an issue.

Review 117：I liked everything!!! The staff, the location, the atmosphere, the design, the price! The cute twin puppies! The cleanliness also. The atmosphere particuarly is amazing, very relaxed but also revs up for the islands party nights and they throw in some of their own inbetween the big parties. The staff are always very friendly and willing to help with anything, they answer any question you might throw at them and are very useful for knowing more information about parties and things to do around the island. Across the street right in front of the beach are their villas. Guests at the cafe can also use all the facillities at the villas which include pool, both deep and shallow, for lazing in the sun, very lovely! and bar where you can order all food from the menu inlcuding very yummy boozy ice cream shakes! As you can tell I absolutely loved this place. Just wish I could have been their for longer but definitely plan to return! Easily the best hostel ever, miles ahead in fact in terms of comfort, value for money, facillities, and perhaps most importantly FUN!!!!!!!
