Review 5：I can't say a bad place about the hotel, but there isn't much else going on around the area. There are a few bars up the beach but that is about it. I think we were the youngest people staying here too (20yrs).

I loved our private bungalow with our own hammock. The air con was the coldest I'd felt the whole time I was in Thailand! I also loved the hammocks and swings over looking the sea, perfect place to relax. There is also free UV paints to help yourself to! I'd definatley stay here again.

Review 11：As a couple, we didn't like the fact that for the total amount that we paied for 5 nights (which was still cheap considering the location of this hotel but more expensive than normal thai-prices) there was no breakfast included and if you wanted breakfast even for 200 something baht, was a really poor one. Also, for all those days that we stayed, we also didn't have cleaning room service included, I was delivering myself the garbage to the owner and asking for more toilet paper. The bar/restaurant closes really early, like normally around 8pm, which we think is unfair for all the customers, specially the ones who may arrive later than schedule. This hotel has amazing potential but still needs to work on small details that really make a difference...
Review 12：The bungalows with the hat lodges are super cute and, inside, the bathroom was clean and modern, you could see in an overall look that the owner took some time and effort for the last couple of years to built a pleasant place for his visitors.

Review 15：The beach bungalow was only equipped with one fan! Was way too hot inside, the bar shut early had to go to next door hotel for a nightcap! There was a couple fornicating in the pool in the broad daylight! The staff seemed to turn a blind eye, not the kind of thing you want happening in such a nice place!

Review 17：Wet room never completely drained of water and was constantly damp, We had the cheap option with the fan, and would recommend the nicer AC rooms for the extra money, Our rooms werent cleaned during our three nights stay, but I'm sure if asked they would be more than happy to, Also no fridge or free two bottles of water that seemed to come with every other hotel/resort.
Review 18：All the staff especially Mr Pot where very welcoming and full of information on how to enjoy the island and booking all the things you need at no extra cost (having looked up prices) will always strive to get you the best deal, Food was amazing and very reasonable priced. Also very good priced drinks, We where here for the full moon party and got all our paints for free and even having Mr Pot painting us with his amazing talent! Well recommend, The beach the resort is on is amazingand picturesque, sand is rather gritty but that can't be helped! once you get into the water it is lovely, even nice for snorkeling which Mr Pot provides free of charge! Excellent pool also reasonably sized with a large number of sun beds and loungers.
Review 19：the Standard room without Air-Con is not recommendable (clean but not well decorated, very basic): only the rooms with air-con are recommendable. No fridge in the rooms. Would be nice to have wi-fi in rooms too.
Review 20：Nice employees and personalized attention. Close to the beach, nice view on the sea, very good Thai food, close to the Thong Sala and services. Nice pool in front of the sea and nice relaxing restaurant. Thai massages under the tree in front of the sea.
Review 21：The bed was absolutely horrendous, I've never slept on anything like it. The mattress had springs coming up through it and I barely slept an hour in the three nights I was there, such was the discomfort. There also was no housekeeping. The resort was a little isolated from the town and transport was needed to get in and out. Given the standard of accommodation, the price was quite high. There was only a fan in the room and while we've been travelling we've stayed in much cheaper places that all had air conditioning. To upgrade to an air conditioned room was another 2000 baht which would have made the price exceedingly high. I'm conscious that it's busy around the full moon but charging very high prices for that standard of accommodation is extortionary.
Review 22：Nice relaxed resort, staff are friendly and helpful. Beautiful beach setting, food was very nice. Mr Pot arranged our ferry ticket and also our transport to the full moon party.

Review 26：We've travelled around Thailand and this was the best hotel we stayed in. Very relaxing, friendly staff, excellent and clean food and great hanging mats. We've had a lot of fun with the dogs on the beach. You can tell everything is done and prepared with care. The mussaman curry is recommended.

Review 30：This Place is a Real Paradise, Pool was clean and overlooked the ocean, hammocks hanging everywhere right on the beach, Mr Pot was very helpful with scooter rentals and tours, a taxi to the full moon party and a taxi plus ferry back to airport, Food was Great!
Review 31：The beach out front was a bit rocky but just a 2 minute walk down there is a beautiful sand bar with nice soft sand. The bed, as well, was a bit uncomfortable but considering the other amenities and services it didn't bother me much.

The basic bungalow is a perfect option for a solo traveler who may not want to necessarily stay in a hostel but still wants to have the social aspect of being around other young travelers. This a great area and escape from the hectic Haad Rin Beach but not too far so that transportation to and from the Full Moon Party is still accessible. There are many hostels and awesome bars and restaurants as it's neighbors and the food at the restaurant is truly yummy. I will definitely stay here again!

Review 34：We stayed at v view for three night but wish we had stayed for a week atleast. Great location , easy access to everything you need. Pot the owner explains to you on the map where everything is and where you can go to. We hired a scooter from the resort for 200thb definitely worth it and visited all the different beaches on the island. Koh phangan is must on a Thailand trip and v view is the best resort to stay at.
Review 35：No refrigerator or shelves or toilet roll holder Wifi extremly poor in rooms and on the grounds no mosquito nets and it was very easy for mosquitos to get in poor security of the rooms, just with a pad lock Our shower didnt have hot water or even warm for that matter for two of the three nights we stayed there. when we asked if they could fix it, they had a look and said "nah not tonight", without an apology. The bar was expensive even for water, and because there was no fridge to get a cold drink you were forced to get it there. Local beach not for swimming

Review 55：The beach is a little grubby - a bit too much seaweed and shallow water, but quiet and relaxing all the same. V-View however seem to keep their area tidy and pretty.
Review 56：Mr Pot is the best host in the world - he is very welcoming, and couldnt do enough for us. He even gave us a lift to the pier on our last day. His painting skills for the full moon party are brilliant. The resort is really relaxing, it has loads of hammocks and a chill out/dining area. The food is great and a good price with quick service. The location is great as it is quieter than Haadrin but still has some decent friendly bars just outside on the highstreet, and a good club (KU Club) a 30 second walk up the beach that has a few nights on a week. We saw drum and bass legend Nicky Blackmarket play an amazing set there! Haadrin is a 15 min drive away and only costs 100 BHP per person in a taxi.
Review 57：The beach wasn't swim able, the water was really low. The location was not great, I would recommend staying on a better beach.

Review 60：Friendly staff (Pot, the main man!). The rooms were basic but perfect for what we wanted. The laid back communal area was nice with bean bags and low tables over-looking the beach. The food was nice. Limited alcohol selection so we just stuck to the buckets!
Review 61：The owner is a nasty individual who thought it was funny to insult us in front of other guests for no reason. He also demanded cash upon check out and refused to accept any credit card. As for the location, it is very far away from the "Haadrin beach" where all the fun takes place. The v-view is basically a boring bungalow located on a very dirty beach! If you choose the bungalow with the fan, be prepared to bake inside your room, as it is extremely hot! Avoid this dump at all cost.

Review 63：Where do I start! I sent them two emails asking if they could pick me up from the port, 10-15 minutes drive, they didnt aknowledge either. i had to get a taxi. The man who was on the reception, don't know his name because he didn't introduce himself. He asked if I was traveling on my own when I said yes he seemed dismissive of me, maybe being a woman. He was chatty with a few of the couple there but barely spoke to me. I sat and waited for menus and in the end had to go and get one even though he took them to every one else. The place was lovely but too out of the way unless you have a moped.

Review 65：Some minor things..Not alot to do in the nearby areas, minimal shopping. This however can be a definete plus if u dont want to deal with the Crazy hectic Full Moon crowd! Cabin had no shelving or counter space of any kind..all our clothing and toiletries were basically on the floor. Pot the owner basically does everything himself (except cooking) so his attention and assistance is a little all over the place. His english is also a little on the weak side. One last thing, it was quite windy for the 4 days we were there, and all day long. Not sure if this is normal for this side of the island? something to consider if you are not a fan of wind!
Review 66：Awesome view of the beach from our cabin and pretty good menu! Full moon nite Pot the owner lays out body paint for people to paint themselves and helps out if you like ! Very Fun! Great Energy to start the night! The main area is always chill and nice to hang out in, Hammocks are also on the beach and quite nice to relax in. Overall great Vibe and would come back for sure.

Review 74：Beware of the coral in the sea! There are warning signs up however is easy to miss them and end up with a sore foot! There are no fridges/kettles or tvs in the bungalows and we did have to request some clean towels, we stayed for 3 nights and the room wasn't cleaned at all until we checked out, reminds me of a caravan/chalet type of holiday stay. However these points would certainly not stop me from staying here again, the view and atmosphere far outway these slight negatives.

Very relaxed atmosphere, owner very helpful sorted out our transport tickets onto our next destination, organised taxi to half moon party and always had a smile! Location was,good away from all the noise but close,enough to,go into town and only a ten minute drive to Haar Rin,where the full moon party was. The food at v view was brilliant and cheap. I stayed for 5 nights,and would defo go back!
Review 77：1. The resort is way too noisy! It is about 200 meters far from the main road where is surrounded by shabby night clubs! So every every single night, you won't get sleep until 3am. 2. Wifi does NOT cover everywhere as what it says on booking.com!!! It might cover the 4 or 5 bangalows around the lobby area, and there were still at least another 4 or 5 bangalows can not be covered at all!! Unfortunately mine(V17) was one of them and definitely the worst which was the furthest to the lobby and nearest to the main road!! 3. Only cash! The last night i was told that my room charge online didn't work out because of the limited money transfer conditions the resort has. So i had to make few international calls with both of my bank and the website if the payment made through since i did all the transfer steps as the website requested! In the end, the online payment didn't go to the resort, so i had to go get THB5400 before 8am the next morning!! Soooo inconvenient!! 4. The rest such as, no one comes to ask you that if you need toilet paper, soap etc, its totally "you are on your own style".. And the windows are not designed to be opened so you can only get air exchanged by air-con which i really don't like personally! The sheet has some stains remained and i didn't want to think of more... Surely, i wont recommend this resort at all! Go north of the island, you will find many nice and quiet bungalows in the woods or jungle with cheaper price even it might takes an hour to get to the full moon party. But an hour is fully acceptable if i can have better sleep at nights and fresh air during days...

Review 79：Baan tai in general is very quiet. Haad rin is the place to stay in koh phangan. We stayed in the v view to go to the half moon party but it was still far away from it. When looking at the price of v view you have to consider the 100 baht per person it costs on koh phangan to get anywhere because there is no nightlife around the bungalows. Renting scooters on the island if you are staying in baan tai is recommended because there is so little to do. If you are going to a half moon the Hard Road hostel is the place to be! I would recommend v view if you want to lie in hammocks and relax but if you want to go drinking this place is not for you. Also, standard bungalows are not good value for money! Very basic

Review 82：Pot the manager! Great guy, painted people for half moon party and we had a blast. This resort is excellent if you like the quiet ánd if you like some action. Small scale, great rooms (we had the new ones) and after staying at Samui this place was ydillic with the beautiful views, quiet beaches and cosy breakfast/ dinner/ beers-bar. I'd go back in a heartbeat and during my trip, when entering new places, I often thought back at my great stay at V View.

Gives you a map and tour info on arrival and always willing to help. Provide us with paint for half moon (which is 100baht taxi ride from VView) and allowed us to do this in beach bar which created a great atmosphere. Many hammocks around to lounge about. Supermarket and some small restaurants out on main road (5min walk). Not much else but taxi to Thongsala 100baht each or 150B each to Haad Rin. Great for chill out time or access to half moon but not for party animals. Would recommend a scooter if you want to see around the island.

Review 89：The owner was one of the nicest people we met on our travels and couldn't do enough for us! The resort is clean and manicured - the sand is raked each morning. The food was really tasty (both Western and Thai) and the coconut rum shake was sensational. The aircon works brilliantly, beds are comfy and the bedding crisp. Not the best for swimming but we enjoyed lounging in the hammocks on the beach. The owner got us all in the mood for the half moon party by supplying bags of neon paint and his artistic talent! All in all and excellent place to stay that I can highly recommend.
Review 90：I booked a double room but when I print the reservation it was not onit, I change it believing that I might did I mistake and even I couldsee it when I was doing the reservation there was not at the details.soI call the hotel to check it.the receptionist told me that they have myreservation and they have a duble room.but when we went there they didnot.they told me that they have a double room but it is not in front ofthe beach but I had paid for beach front bungalow.so you stayed at hebeach front.when they move the beds I saw a big hole on the wall,after alittle observetion I notice that the room was not so good preserved andit was full of dust.we stayed there for 4 days and thy did not clean aroom,i had to go to the market to buy toilet paper cause it was finishedand after 10 o clock you can not find anyone at the reception.the lockdoor has been replaced by padlock so the door do not close completelyand a lot of dust and insects can come the food is ok but it is a littleexpensive.do not rent a motorbike from the people they cooperate.theycharge us 200 baht the day,we asked a better price for 4 days but theywere non negotiable,we found at thongsala motorbikes in betterconditions for 100 bath.

Our first meal there only 1/3 meals arrived, after an 18 hour travel we didn't like this at all, we're all in our 20's and easy to please, was just a bit of a letdown. If you rent scooters from his suggested rental guy, make sure that you really check the bike before riding... The bill is costly for any small damage.
