Review 2：Really comfortable beds, vert rainy night so room service was used - excellent food and service too. Nice to have box office sky channels available - free too. Great value for money as well as location. Staff great at all times.

Review 3：Didnt like how there was no air-conditioning in our rooms, so we had to leave the sliding door open in one room throughout the night as the room was on level 3, however could not leave door open in other room as it was on the ground floor and was not safe to do so.

Review 4：The kids loved the pool and spa as it was a very hot day.

Review 5：Room had no power when we first arrived with a pool of water in the fridge due to construction being done in the hallways. Staff fixed the problem quickly. Bathroom very dated and a bit grungy. Electric socket behind TV almost falling out was a bit concerning.

Review 11：Bed a little soft. layout of room a little odd ( did not enjoy looking at myself from the bed. roof of shower cracked and in danger of falling. Door onto balcony sticky and needed a slam to shut properly.

Review 14：The staff from both the Motel and Juliana's Resturant were very polite. Nothing was to much trouble and what a view from our room to the beach. Awesome.

Review 15：I felt the room was quite dated considering the location of the Inn. Housekeeping takes an awful long time, we had requested our room be made up but when we arrived back at our room at 2pm our room had still not been done. Housekeeping needs to be way more efficient especially for those who are staying more than one night. It's not good when guests are having to ask housekeeping for toilet paper and towels.

Review 17：Poor customer services. Broken chair in the room. Power in the room wasnt stable, it was on and off. Family not happy with the Hotel at all. Very disappointed.

Review 18：all good apart from 1 of the hand towels (found in Morning ) was not nice at all if we had seen at night would have said something paid extra for up grade so was bit disappointed

Review 21：Room was not ready (still in the process of being changed) after checking in. The elevator broke down twice during my stay. The spa pool was out of order. Inconsiderate guests from studio units beside who were still up at 1am in the morning.

Review 25：Disappointed with cleanliness. Thick dust above the wardrobe. Cups just rinsed an returned dirty when room apparently serviced. Would be happy to wash ourselves if detergent left. Vertical blinds noisy when door left open on the stuffy nights, however appreciated the fan as no air con in the room. Spa out of order this being one thing we were looking forward to after full days out sight seeing.

Review 27：Floor we stayed on was under construction and hallway looked like a building site. Wasn't warned about this and felt anxious given the fire alarms in common space hadn't been installed.

Review 29：Older shower and air con unit which is aimed directly at the bed so hard to sleep if you've got the air con running. Also housekeeping is always done in the afternoon when you're trying to have a nap.

Review 31：The room that we had was big and clean. The kitchen had a kettle for basic needs. There were washing machines and dryers for us to use and a huge dining area. One of us was not feeling well but had a comfortable stay in the room for that day to nurse the discomfort.

Review 32：Made a booking via booking.com in which thankfully i rang to confirm as they could not find the booking even though I had all my details confirmed via email- when she did find it she mentioned it had been cancelled. She said it should still be fine to stay - mentioned it was lucky I rang- I've never ever had this issue and I use booking.com all the time. Arrived at 4pm- room was "ready" but they bed was not made. Never had that happened before. Decor very dated for the price

The facilities are excellent; the rooms were immaculately clean and well-equipped and the staff members were friendly, helpful and efficient. We will definitely return when we are next in New Plymouth! :)

Review 42：I think most couples expect King not queen beds now think ours was a queen. For self catering I think salt and pepper and paper towels should be standard. The tea bags apart from herbals had not been replaced when we got there. Quiet and attractive but some outdoor furniture for the patio should be provided. Staff were happy to rectify things quickly once asked

Review 56：The bed (or rather the mattress) was too soft for me & I felt as though I was rolling into the centre of the bed all night. The vertical blinds did not block out enough light, as I prefer to sleep in near pitch black. Aesthetically, the tiny style of bathroom tiles were outdated and a bit of an eyesore. Breakfast was a huge letdown - for $22.00 I would have expected more from the cooked buffet side (sausages were tough, hash browns were dry, scrambled eggs were thin and watery). Next time, I will have breakfast at a cafe.

Review 57：Reception staff were very friendly and the room was clean and tidy & quite spacious. The pillows on the bed were full and very comfortable, there were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe and the water pressure from the shower was ok.

Review 61：This is the 3rd time we have stayed here & it meets our needs for a night visit. It is convenient & we have had 3 rooms in different areas & all are comfortable & clean. Plus it was close to the walkway which is a huge plus.

Review 62：No one on reception. Waited ages then went looking and found them in the bar. Room was bad. Large amount of wall paper coming off with ceiling looking like it leaked from floor above. Both bedside lights did not work. Old radio beside bed did not work. Room dirty. Only vertical binds, no curtains to block out the light. After the receptionist checked out the room with me and found she could not remedy the situation my room was changed. On the way down from the second floor to my new room the lift would not work. Several attempts were made to get it to work.

Perfectly clean, very tastefully decorated and an absolute pleasure to hang out in for a couple of days. We got a room that had two beds in, one double and one single the kettle was in the wardrobe and drinks had to be made in there the only place to get water for teas and coffees was in the sink in the bathroom, I didn't really like that as it was also the same place to wash the cups. The room was comfy but a bit grubby. The sea view was over a low balcony and over a few houses so not the best.

Review 117：The room was something out of the 1960's. The sea facing room was unbareabley hot and and even the old dingy blinds didn't help. The wallpaper was falling off the walls and the "private balcony" was less than half a metre deep. Very disapointed. I couldn't get the aiconditioning to work and the very rude receptionist said she would give me a free standing fan (because it worked in her sons room). The very helpful restaurant manager said he would have a look and managed to get it working. We noticed that most of the hotel had had an upgrade (unsure why we were put in the old room, even though i booked weeks earlier) Luckily we were visiting family and didn't spend much time in the room.
